The direction of that moment underlined a bit of blocking that I hadn't picked up on in the manga: Okarun is subtly shifting his gaze away from the mannequins and over to Momo just then. The camera slowly whirls to his face, he blinks and we immediately cut to the first time they met, but their positioning, the jump-cut angle and the tilt of his eyes are unmistakable: he's now physically looking over at her while Taro's speaking. His head hasn't swerved an inch, but his eyes are on Momo. I'm kinda floored by how sophisticated this use of perspective is. It's not a memory: it's Okarun having a spiritual do-over of his very first impression of Momo. He's got the same look on his face in both instances, but for different reasons. He was stunned by her the first time because she was a popular stranger standing up for him. A mysterious disruptor, a source of confusion - a big shiny beacon that's as scary as it is alluring. But now, his expression has changed from shock to awe. He's seeing her for the very first time... again. Before, she might as well have been an alien beamed from outer space to finally answer his call. Now, he recognizes her for what she really is: a goddamn demon who's inhabited him in body and soul. That's how love starts, ya know!
I am so not ready for this adorable and looney series to be over. I've been loving every minute of it. Jiji is a straight-up clown, I like him already. But with that scene with Momo, when they were doing dishes implies, that more is under the surface of that goofball exterior. I'm looking forward to seeing more of his deal.

Aira and Jiji are amazing, layered characters that only get better as the series goes on. And they just keep expanding the cast, but somehow never lose focus on the core of Momo and Ken. Can’t wait for Vamola in season 2!

As far as Jiji is concerned I think since there is no defensive or healer type maybe wellbeing one of those two. Momo is the balanced attack and defense, Okarun is more of a speedster attack type, and Aira is the agile attack type so we definitely need a healer.
The episode title kinda misled us made us think it's about momo and Jiji. By the end I'm convinced it's referring to okarun and how he realized his feelings for momo.
