    I'm glad I had no idea what X2 was before riding it, otherwise I'm not sure I would have done it.
    Genuinely terrifying coaster.

      I’m gonna have to try some more back row rides. I’m usually all about the front on this one because the view going through the first two elements is insane but I think it’s time I get a different perspective of the ride😁

    I hope they can get the audio working again in the coming year. I will not lie. It’s very intense even without it, but the audio psychs you up that much more and is the cherry on top when it works.

    The music gives me chills every time. "Enter Sandman" and "It Had To Be You" will never be the same. I've probably ridden this thing 50+ times. It's a bit rough, but I can't get enough of it! If you don't like it, you're just not into intense coasters. I understand why people are divided, but nobody can make me not love this coaster. Love the video, thanks!

    I wish i would have seen this video before . As i spent nearly half an hour looking for it . . We have seen some bad reaction from people coming out, and was so close to leave the queue . And was very surprised with my 12 year old daughter going on it straight away.i was so nervous, that i just wanted us to tick this 4 dimentional mad thing off the list and move on... but at the end of the ride, we were looked at each other we realised that we absolutely fell in love with this ride, saying it was actually amazingly.. again?it was incredible experience, with already great elements brought out even better due to twist, turns and according seat rotation it felt absolutely amazing. We were in the 6 th row , her inside, me outside...it kinda made me realise that we probably are true thrill seekers not to feel so much fear riding it, but truly enjoying those intense elements!!! What a masterpiece of engineering!!! Top ride!!!

  • @thedaywerevolt
    @thedaywerevolt 2 года назад +4

    I rode it for my first time yesterday. I was last at MM 9 years ago and it was under maintenance the whole time. Couldn't convince my brother to ride it with me and rode solo. I came off of it not as disoriented as I expected. I will be honest - part of me didn't enjoy the experience, but the other part of me knew that I just had a once in a lifetime experience. As my day went on, I realized just how much I loved it. I think it's not the best engineered rollercoaster I have ever been on. Tatsu may take that cake for me, or Millennium Force at Cedar Point (though I rode that the year it opened only and remembered loving that experience). But... the fact that this rollercoaster genuinely terrified me is something no other rollercoaster has ever accomplished. That is AWESOME. And I think if I could ride it again, my fun factor would go way up because I can predict the track now, which is always helpful (knowing when to brace, where to look).
    Overall, an outstanding experience. And all of us who have conquered it are TRUE thrill seekers. Cheers to all of you!

    Funny enough, X (the original version) was the first coaster I ever went on at Magic Mountain. And my introduction to like truly intense coasters. I'd been on plenty before, but nothing even close to that. But after conquering X, I felt like I could ride anything and I've pretty much felt that way ever since.

    My friends and I came here over the summer and they had never been on anything bigger than a Disneyland coaster. I had been to SFMM before but had never done X2. This was our first coaster of the day and we were all blown away! It was so crazy, intense, and fun. We’ve gone to SFMM 4 times since then and we make sure we get a ride on X2 every time. It is my favorite coaster of all time. Great review and I agree that it is a 10/10

    I got to re-ride this a couple weeks ago for the first time since 2016 and it shot up in my rankings from number 11 to number 3 (out of almost 400 credits) and I have to agree that back row outside seat is my favorite on the coaster! I don't have a preference on which side of the track. But this is definitely a ride that I think needs to be ridden a couple times in order to really start to appreciate it more. I thought that about Skyrush too!

    I was so scared of riding this last month but now after riding it, I feel like I can do any ride. I hated viper so much. Appreciate arrows history but Viper was one of the worst loopers I've been on and I've been on Anaconda. But it was a mistake riding front row on viper. From what I have been on the most intense coasters for me ranked are X2, i305 at Kings Dominion (in the dark), followed by Superman's Pretzel Roll at Six Flags Great Adventure (I seriously felt my heart was going to explode lol,) and finally Fury 325. Sadly Tatsu was getting a paint job last month but I've heard she's pretty intense. Great video! When we rode this, we got lucky and got front row and it was such a gorgeous ride. The drop, the turns, the unpredictability. Sadly Enter Sandman was not playing but we did get the fire shot element. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    My first time riding this was at fright fest and it was pitch black. My brain couldn’t even come close to comprehending what was going on and my neck hurt for months afterwards too lol. I rode it the following spring again with the understanding of what was about to hit me and it was the best ride ever! Now it’s My all time fave and generally my first stop every time I go :). The best part of the ride is the weightlessness you feel coming out of the first Raven loop😍. Oh and two things. I could be wrong on this but I think one of the trains rides smoother than the other (can’t remember which though) and I want to say the smoothest rides I’ve had on it are when I’ve sat front row on the inside with someone heavier than me on the outside. Also, The end of the second Raven loop is brutal but if you learn how to brace for it you won’t screw your neck up hahaha. I’ve actually been able to lap this thing three or four times on several occasions and it didn’t bother me at all. Great video. This should be a bucket list coaster for anyone who is healthy enough to ride something this intense 😁✌️

    My two rides on this were back outside and second to back outside, left side (i think, its hard to tell with this thing haha). Loved my first ride, perfect first ride of the day. Second ride was a little too much for that day but still had fun (really noticed the roughness though). Id give this a 4 star for fun, I was hysterically laughing the whole way. Always makes me a little sad that this was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for arrow but such a final coaster! I used to love riding roller coasters as a kid, the rougher the better. Speed and G's got me going, then I rode the X2. It blew my mind with how good it was, how fast it was, how rough it was, with how many G's I felt. Unfortunately it kind of ruined other roller coasters for me, it set a ceiling so high I would HAVE to go to expensive parks to even feel good on a roller coaster. I will get extremely bored on a standard roller coaster now. 10/10
