I cant believe this thing is as tall as Goliath (SFMM) that's probably the most ridiculous thing about Eejanaika. X2 is a beast, cant imagine it even 50 ft taller
Love your vids!
And steeper than x2
Oof I didn’t realize this was you until I came back to the video
That was my first thought! Holy crap!
Love your content!
“X2 is my favorite coaster at magic mountain”
Twisted colossus: “I thought you loved me”
Owen Wege Me too
He said he's been so disappointed by TC not dueling that it now interferes with his ability to like it because he just consistently feels let down while riding it.
Mine as well be two different coasters
I don’t mind tc not dueling but mm needs to fix that
Anti Vax Mom
Well it is two credits
...If you’re magic mountain fanboy
When I went to Fuji Q, on my FIRST ride ever on Eejanaika, I GOT ASSIGNED BACK ROW! It's an insane experience and that zero g roll is wack!
Me: can we get on eejanaika
Mom: we have that at home
At home: X2
Dexter Frebish's Electric Roller Ride
At home: speedy Gonzalez
Invisible yikrz at home: magic flyer
X2 is better
This is literally just The smiler for Taylor because can't stop laughing
Except it’s a million times better
@@peters9889 you right
Nah it’s like Laff trakk😼😼
@@peters9889 no
@@pootisman7846 I went on both soo
I'm going to start chanting "Eejan X2 Eejan X2 Eejan X2" at SFMM now.
Eejanconda X2
Lol
Xjanconda 2
9:45 spin cycle type ride in the background is in sync with the train, what a great shot
It's my personal favorite coaster I've ever been on. It left me absolutely speechless.
I've ridden this on the back row - number one for me. It literally ragdolls your body around the track.
Maybe one of the most instense coaster I've ever ridden !!! I loved it :)
Eejanaika alone makes a trip to Japan worthwhile. Your description of the Zero G Roll is so satisfying!!
My number one bucket list coaster. S&S needs to start making more 4D coasters that are based on their assets acquired from Arrow's closure.
I imagine they would build more if the parks asked for it, but because they're so expensive and maintenance nightmares, most parks probably don't want one.
I live in Japan and this coaster is my favorite one, period.
I had the same reaction when I first rode it back in 2019. Both my friend and I were uncontrollably giggling as our first ride came to end. We immediately got back in line because we were in disbelief as to what we had just experienced.
i went to fuji q highland about a week after you and eejanaika was my favriourite coaster i've ridden
still waiting for that new gen 4D 👀 S&S please?!
That’s called the free spins 😂😂😂
@@ObvPhotography true but it would still be cool to see a non-clone upgraded version.
OneAndOnlySound yeah it would
can we all agree free spins don't count :P
never gonna happen. neither is FreeFly2.
S&S just perfected the Arrow 4D coaster, and for them to acquire their assets to build this is amazing. I love how S&S is keeping Arrow's legacy going on for as long as they can~
I have well over 100 rides on X2, and I can't wait to ride this thing. Looking at a Japan trip in either 2021 or 2022. Eejanaika, Hakugei, and the Do-Dodonpa launch are the 3 biggest bucket list coasters for me.
Thank goodness it's only in 2021, I can't imagine your disappointment if you planned it for 2020
@@AlexandreSantos-yv2tj what xDD
I’ve been to Fuji Q a lot since I lived there for 3 years due to the army, rides are great
Flying Dino at USJ bro. Do that. Also Fujiyama and Takabisha at Fuji-Q are nice as well. Do-dodonpa, jeez I'm not riding that again. Definitely a must ride but its so crazy, you feel like you're getting murdered in 1/2 second. Eejanaika is such a beast too, those inversions are insane.
@@mrccapalot5864 does eejanaika run consistently everyday? would have to go next year and have it not running... went to six flags 2 years ago and X2 was closed for the day... i felt scammed, they should announce such things :(
Yes!!!! I’ve waited so long for this review! Thank you
I'm 58 yrs old and laugh my ass off on coasters. That will never end for you young man! Keep riding and keep the videos coming! I still ride any coasters I can!!! Thanks for riding and sharing coasters I know I'll never get to ride!!
I fully agree with you, this was by far my favourite ride in Japan and my favorite ride I have ridden. The ride is just crazy intense and is the first ride to leave me just speechless after getting off because it's just so intense. My experience with the seats however was the opposite to yours I rode it 8 times in one day however every single time was in the back row all through single rider, so I can say it was very intense there but I can't compare it to any other seat unfortunately.
I've been so looking forward to this review! With how much I love X2, Eejanaika is absolutely my # 1 bucket list coaster worldwide. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
I just went to Fuji-Q today and had to look up reviews for these coasters because they all were amazing. I gotta say, I'm team do-dodonpa but eejanaika was good too. Also, you didn't mention it in the video but ええじゃないか (eejanaika) literally translates to "why not?" and i think it describes this ride very well lol
I had no idea that's what Eejanaika meant. That's cool!
@@CoasterStudios ええじゃないか (eejanaika) is a crazy mind which is like "You could have only one life, so care nothing and do what you wanna do".
The announcement before launch asks "Is it okay to go round and round~?", so think nothing and just reply "Eejanaika" untill the drop. So that you can truly have fun with "Eejanaika" XD
A bit late to the correction, but ええじゃないか does not mean "why not?".
It's a pun made by the fusion of いいじゃないか ("isn't it great?") with the sound ええ (used to express surprise or amusement). A good contextual translation is "isn't this amazing?", with "amazing" here taking both the meaning of "something that is great" and "something that amazes you".
@@demetriusmorgenroth2835 Wrong. Eejanaika is a very old religious ceremony where people would chant "yoi janai ka, ei janai ka" while partying, getting naked, etc. It was meant as "let's do whatever we want" or "who cares if we get naked", basically an old form of YOLO, just like Nebuzoku said. "ii" doesn't only mean good/great, it also means okay/fine/acceptable. "ee" doesn't only express surprise/amusement, it's also another way of saying "ii" in other dialects like Kansai. Therefore, the contextual translation is indeed "why not". At the beginning of the ride, they say something like "is it okay to go round and round", to which you reply "it's fine, isn't it!?" (literal translation), or with smoother english translations "of course it is!" or "why not!?".
@@UnknownString88 Fair enough. I don't know enough 関西弁 to disprove that statement, and a precursory research on what you said seems to be confirmed by historical records. I assume that this would be a more modern word play on words (particularly when I have a recollection of reading there somewhere when I was researching Fuji-Q), but I definitely see how the historical angle makes sense as well.
i did ride it 2 days after you have been there and gotta say it. This thing was the most terrifying thing i have ever experience ... ( never rode a 4D coaster before ) it was so intense that my legs somehow crossed over the middle harnest thing at the G roll . it was the only rollercoaster i've ever thought midway trough '' i want this to end '' . will i ever ride it again ? yeah ! but maybe only once per day ...
looks-like-kristoff my legs did that too!
looks-like-kristoff X was my first I think the worst part is the first drop. The way you face the ground and flip back over is wild. But on this I think that Raven turn looks insane
This thing almost gave me a heart attack. Call me pussy or whatever but I'll never ride it again.
@@lutherblissett7873 bro same here. I've never been scared of coasters before but after riding this thing I was traumatized
Absolutely the most scariest roller coast I have ever been on 😱 my sister & I are from Australia where we don’t have anything that comes close, we waited in the freezing cold for 2 hours, we were definitely not prepared for how cold Japan could be in March. Just as we boarded it started heavily snowing, we had never seen snow before so it made it really magical going up the steep incline getting covered in snow 😲 honestly after that first drop I couldn’t help but scream for the whole duration of the ride, most terrifying exciting roller coast ever!!! If your visiting Japan this park is a must seen 😆💖
Eejanaika means "Ain't it great?" Yes. Yes, it is.
Going to ride this next summer, can’t believe how hyped I am for that trip!
Wow! Ive ridden Eejanaika several times today and I’m still amazed how ridiculously good it is. This and Hakugei at Nagashima Spaland are so good🤩
This ride is in my top 5. Absolutely love the intensity. We immediately ran back on after the first ride
ahhhh i went on eejanaika in july and it was the most intense ride i’ve ever been on!! personally it was too much to do more than once in a day but definitely an experience lol
LOVE your content.
I just got back from Japan and visited this park. I swear to god during that zero G roll i was facing sideways looking away from the coaster and I was screaming "HOW..." I got off and was smiling so big. Great coaster, not my #1 but such a great ride.
good review love to see you get out and rate these coasters for us
Great review and great footage!
While it was technically made by S&S, its basically Arrow's Ghost. An Arrow concept, arrow design (the mechanics of the ride), arrow track, designed by Alan Shilke just like X2, especially considering S&S hasn't used anything from Arrow for anything else this was essentially an arrow coaster, just paid for by s&. I miss arrow lol.
my favorite roller coaster to date! rode this on a cold winter day. 'twas unforgettable!
Awesome review, I've never been to Japan but seeing that roller coaster makes me want to ride it, my favorite roller coaster that I have ridden so far is X2 so I can imagine Eejanika is something special!!!
Loved this ride. When I rode this on a clear day you get a good view of Mt Fuji at the end.
Using this ride to dry my socks off after riding cool Japan was absolutely awesome, it sucks I could have ridden the left side more as I only rode it once in my 4 rides and I personally preferred it but it is what it is. Overall though, Eejanika will sit happily in my #2 spot behind velocicoaster but god I miss this coaster.
I had the exact same reaction, the best roller coaster I've been on
You know a coaster is insane when u hit the break run, out of breath, and can’t actually think about what you just experienced
i got to try dinoconda last month. i have to say, i really loved that ride. i was more impressed with it than x2, and this is coming from someone who's local park is sfmm.
now i have to try this one.
That last twist before the breaks!!!!!! Wow!
This is the greatest coaster I’ve ever seen. X is already an elite coaster.
I went to Japan only for this ride, it was worth every penny and second spent traveling. This coaster is easily my favorite in the world, there is nothing like it. The intensity just leaves you completely at a loss to what just happened to you. 11/10
I'm so glad you changed your tune on X2. I'm 55 and have ridden coasters all over the world, and of those, X2 is the king. I don't trust coaster fans who bag on it. It is a unique and ferocious monster and I'm so grateful it's at my home park. Eejanaika is a major bucket list for me. One day. Great video.
This ride + X2's music and special effects = best coaster in the world
Awesome, cool roller coaster rides!!!😄❤👍
"Sit back, relax, and enjoy the thrill"
😆😆😆
Disneyland and Sea...Fuji-Q...NSL....and a ride or two on a Bullet train all bucket list for me. Don't know who I envy more Shawn or Yourself but someday I'll get there. It been great to watch y'all have a blast.
Just got back from Japan yesterday, and I was able to do Eejanaika in both the first and last row. Holy crap, the last row was great!!!
I've ridden Eejanaika once back row outside seat, insane is the only word for it, it was amazing. My number 1 coaster in the world.
I love this ride. Rode it recently
Man it looks good.. let's see when in the hopefully next decade I can get a chance to visit this park!
This is one i could do repeats of, Do-dodonpa is something everyone needs to do once but repeat value isnt overly there for it, plus the chanting for this ride is just so hype
Easily top 3 most wanted! I have always been fascinated by this coaster and coaster type in general. Thanks to the job I still can't say for sure, but I'm still hoping to spend a few months in japan next year and ride this a bunch.
Team Eejanaika!
We went to Fuji-Q two days ago and this ride was just SICK!!!!! The best coaster I’ve ever been!
You rode 4x? You’re as nuts as the ride itself!!! I rode it once and I was cursing the creators for their insanity. I actually laughed (like you) during the ride, because my mind couldn’t take it anymore, I went beyond screaming & getting scared, and left me nothing else but to laugh and surrender. Absolutely insane!
Went on it once last year.... in the rain... and it was still smooth.
Got to revisit this park July 31’st; didn’t do this the first time but I did it this time and was amazed. I actually say pretty much the same thing you said right after I got off on my vlog of the park: no other word to describe it other than insane, and makes you laugh like crazy.
I actually was in Japan and got onto that coaster 2 years ago. My experience wasn‘t so good due to the fact that i was pretty small at the time. In the last turn i bumped my right Rips onto the side of the seat. But the pain was away within a Hour and still was Worth it. It’s a Great Ride. But not for Kids :)
This is honestly the best roller coaster I’ve ever been on! I went on it 4x on my first trip to Fuji Q and then 6x on my second a few years later. AMAZING. Loved the review. 100% agree, except I really don’t like X2. Maybe that’s because I tried Eejanaika first. Guess I better subscribe!
Would love to ride this thing. Part of me absolutely loves the rough pure insane intensity of X2, that back row inside seat first drop and last raven turn are absolute insane
It’s absolutely on my bucket list... X2 is my #2 and at coaster con last year I had 17 rides on it in a single day... I need to get on this thing...
I've been to Japan twice with non-enthisiasts and on both occasions we've never quite made it to the Fuji area due to time/weather. Thunder Dolphin at night with the whole group was a highlight though!
God damn it once Covid is done with I'm seriously considering a solo trip back there so I can get to here and Nagashima. This is a true 'bucklet list' coaster for me
7:04 what is copperhead strike doing there
He was referring to modern common brake runs...
S&S bought the aspects that were left of Arrow Dynamics and named it S&S Arrow
If free spins make me laugh a ton, I can’t imagine this
I was in japan at around the same time, and i live in new zealand so i havnt been on X2, at first i hated Eejanaika but it was night and i was rlly tired, so the next day i tried again and its probably my fav ride in japan
I actually rode this coster without knowing anything about it. We came to the are for sightseeing and had the afternoon free. It was the only ride that you could still get on, on that day (as they have single ride passes) and i was the last to enter the queue before they closed the doors behind me. Also the last train out of the station and i was just floored.
Got to ride this in decently heavy rain, last ride before it closed and omg it is mental in the rain
*Went FujiQ last week. The park has suspended Single Rider line since Covid. Still in the morning it had 0 to 30min line, so got to ride 6 times. Def I like back seat. Like you, front edge seat was rough, still INSANE ride. Must do.
I have ridden this ride and it is f***ing nuts!!!
Its just big and sweeping and amazing and the best coaster I’ve ridden, I’d say. I need to try X2 now
I rode this ride about 2 years ago I absolutely loved it 5 times better than X2 more speed and definitely more intensity I have to agree with you that element is insane I got to ride it three times front third row and back and I waited over an hour in the queue each time it was well worth the wait if you wrote it in the fourth row I assume it would have been the same in the back the reason is there's only five rows so there's not really much of a difference but I have to agree with you the back is super insane wonderful review Taylor
Been on this. Its tied for my favourite.
What is it tied with for you, in first place? For me, my favorite coaster I've ever ridden is Talon.
2:12 you just made my day man
what
Definitely on the bucket list cause x-2 is by far my second absolute fav coaster under Wonder Woman Golden Lasso at SFFT!
Woah. I wish I could ride that!! Can’t travel too far yet wish I could.. looks so intense
I rode it in 2011. Insane is an understatement
For me, X2 > Steel Vengeance, so I’m sure I’d love this! That being said. X2 and SV are my first and second favorite coasters, respectively. I hope I get to ride Eejanaika some day!
I lived in japan a couple of years ago and I had the chance of visiting this park. Sadly though I was only six so I couldn’t ride anything except Fujiyama. Coming back to this it makes me really sad because I missed out
The one dislike is from the one Magic Mountain fanboy that says X2 is better
Ye
MilkDealer12 is X2 bad
X2 is better though, without it none of these s&s 4d coasters would even exist
x2 isn’t better but they’re probably kinda close
@@TheBlashMusic true and it has the effects and the music. I think eeja is top 10 and x2 top 15
Going to Tokyo in march from Australia. I will probably go to this theme park.
This ride is defenitely on my bucketlist, X2 is too
Cool. I want to ride thissss lol
Is there gonna be a silver ticket awards?
I need to go on this coaster.
this coaster looks insane
I was mostly looking forward to ride dododonpa when I first visited the park but takabisha ended up being my favorite
Its my bucket list nr.2 and nr.1 is DoDodonpa so FujiQ is my n.1 Bucket list Park
You're making me so jealous of how much I want to go to Japan.
There is no higher praise for a coaster, than someone coming off of it maniacally laughing and then immediately queuing again, for another ride...!
I rode this and for the people who don't like "don't like" the stomach feeling this is a perfect ride.
This rollercoaster has you feeling like you just walked away from a 120km/h car crash, my girlfriend I where both like "wtf just happened to us" took us both a good 10 minutes to process if we where alive or not..
Definitely recommended lol 😆
Rode this 4 times in a single day, im still picking up my jaw
Went on it today, adored it to the high heavens. I was mixed on X2 but I loved this. I was sorry not to get a second ride on it, but one ride confirmed it as a god-tier roller coaster masterpiece. I'm interested to hear you mention the single rider line; they don't seem to have that atm which is a damn shame.
Seems it was retired during COVID and has not returned.
The best coaster for me so far!
The one day I had to go to this park it was raining... fortunately I got to ride all of the coasters. That being said, this ride is nuts! Add rain and it hurts lol!
Hi Taylor, I love your videos.
You should consider a trip to Australia in the future.
I want to visit Australia one day! It's on the to do list!
