    I had the first generation tt and it was fun now I have the mk2 vr6 tt manual and it’s a bit better overall. The ttrs is my dream car 😊

    Thank you so much for covering your build Brian! It's an inspiration to me because I plan on buying a used 18 at the end of the year, and will use it as a template. Will the Nitto 555 be ok for 1/2 mile events? Can you compare this platform to the Corvette C6 and C8? I want your opinion on launch and half mile potential vs the two platforms. I would imagine that the TTRS is more streetable at high HP levels due to AWD. I'm still looking at used C8 if they can ever tune it. Thank you for your future input! 🤘

      @briansaxon  3 года назад

      The 555r have been great at high speeds.
      Unfortunately no experience with a corvette but I do know that traction on the street is much better with the TT

    What will it run current setup full interior?

      I might go with a different piston that's a bit quieter.
      I believe it has a chance for 8's with full interior. After my 8 second run I found out my front driver tire was way out of alignment

    • @briansaxon

      For what I want to do with the car, no. I'm a big fan of roll racing events and just don't trust those small brakes with a 3000lb+ car. Their car does look sick with the setup though

    3 questions
    1. How laggy is it running so much power on a small motor?
    2. How bad does it under-steer given it has a fwd based awd system but you have the controller for it?
    3. Is 50/50 front/rear the max torque split?

    • @briansaxon
      @briansaxon  3 года назад

      The turbo starts seeing boost under 3000 rpm and full boost around 4000 rpm. The car revs to 8000, so with 4000 rpm of full boost it's pretty enjoyable in my opinion.
      With the controller it's much better, the rear end will rotate under throttle now
      Yes, it's a true 50/50 at my current power level now with the controller compared to around 70/30 split with stock controller

    Few questions - what is the switch for above the haldex controller, is the indicator “gauge” behind the controller knob something you made yourself, and lastly - when you say you run at setting 6, would that be at the 1 o’clock position? (12 o’clock being middle between full left/right) Thanks for the video Brian 😎

    • @briansaxon
      @briansaxon  3 года назад +1

      The switch is a manual switch to turn the haldex off.
      Syvecs has them that you can print off, I got this from someone who did that she had them laminated.

    At what builds do you need upgraded clutches? I'm doing 710h 2021 and have been running Stage 1+ E85. Just don't want things to just break when making more power on stage 3.

    • @briansaxon

    What are your thoughts about a TTS in comparison to a TTRS?

    • @briansaxon

      I have a golf R as a daily driver, I'd say the tts is comparable to that. Imo the TTRS and RS3 are just on another level

    Nice video! Gotta admit I love those ceramic brakes!
    Quick question if you don’t mind. Im looking for a new wheel set to replace my current 2018 TTRS O.E.M. The current set is suppose to be 20x9 52ET
    Im looking to get the OZ ultraleggera hlt. With 20x8.5 32ET.
    Since the difference in offset is quite significant, Will this fit my TTRS without adding any spacing, will it rub against anything?
    Thanks a lot
