"I don't really give a crap about the left wing or the right wing... don't crap in your backyard... we're goddamn entertainers." THANK YOU, MARCO! I really wish more celebrities understood that!
I love the fact that Marko says that Tuomas doesn't really adhere to the rules for the mainstream creative process. Which I already knew -- and why Nightwish, in my humble opinion, is already Rock N Roll Hall of Fame-worthy. The fact that they haven't released an album in 5 years? Not bothered by it. I'd rather have good, quality music to listen to, rather than the processed, assembly-line crap that gets put out in the States, any day.
I personally thought the album was great, it's different, but if you have an open mind you'll love it! You can check out more about what we thought about the album on our website 😊
I read the article about the first hearing and I was enamored! That was really well written (like a tale) That article plus this interview and the short preview clip of the album together make me unbelievable giddy inside!!! I can't await it 😄 This band seriously hoards the talent and chemistry! Thank you!!
Oh thanks! Glad to hear you liked our article about the prelistening experience. A little bit more waiting and you get to hear the first single too ;-)!
love the las part 🤣 hey I now you said that you only heard the album just one time and also I read the review but I have a question ... all those who have heard the album say how good are the vocals parts , the cool parts of emppu with his riffs, kai drums, the voice of marco in endlessness etc But what about Tuomas and his keyboard? nothing to say ? 🤷
Maybe it's like this: When you appreciate a painting, you talk about the colours and drawing style, but not about the canvas, right? But without the canvas, the painting could not exist in the first place. Maybe Tuomas' keyboardism is the canvas, so to speak. It's maybe not so notable for people, but without it, the whole songs would fall apart.
@@TuonelaMagazine In Kiruna, I once asked a Swedish businessman what language he utilized when doing business in Norway...Swedish, or Norwegian. "Neither," he told me. "We all speak English."
@@alanfoster6589 Yeah, even though for example the Scandinavian languages are super close to each other, they do have differences in vocabulary and pronunciation. So a Swede, a Dane and a Norwegian wouldn't understand each other 100% if they all spoke their own language. And then there are languages like Icelandic, Faroese, Finnish and Samic spoken in the Nordic countries that are even more different. And to top it all off these languages have offshoots, dialects and enclaves in different places. For example Finnish has offshoots like Kven that is a minority language in Norway and Meänkieli that's a minority language in Sweden, there are Swedish dialects spoken in Finland etc. so it's just generally easier for people to just default to English if they don't have to spend a lot of time in the area. But if people move countries or have friends from the other nordics, then we stop using English and make the effort to find a way to communicate with the local languages.
@@Doomin-c2m Nice analysis (and I appreciate your runes). Most Americans, alas, never try to speak a foreign language. Fortunately Nightwish's language is understood everywhere...and Floor can manage all the dialects.
I read your review 🙌 I am very curious to listen Music and Procession I read in several reviews that Music is something strange in harmony and I love that kind of things, and many say how beautiful Proccesion is. very curious about this album .
I think both of those songs, in their own way, were my favorites - but this is based only on listening to the album once. It's "Music" that had those Simon & Garfunkel-like harmonies :-), and "Procession" was otherworldly. The upcoming single is also a banger though and probably the catchiest song on the record.
Marko often hands stuff he has written to Tuomas and some of the songs make it on new recordings ("The Islander", "The Crow, The Owl and The Dove" (as a co writer) ).. but I think in this video he reffered to his solo album (Pyre of the black heart) that was released on January 24th.
@@A.HollerMusic Indeed, he mentioned in our previous interview that he often slips folk melodies in Nightwish songs, and since the new Nightwish album is a bit more progressive, we asked if there was a link between the songwriting of "Pyre Of The Black Heart," and the new Nightwish album. Marko mentions the songwriting process briefly, Tuomas wrote all the songs, came with demos to the band, and then they arranged them together.

some fans are a little worried about the fact that cd 1 apparently had nothing of orchestra but the reviews says that the music and the vocals parts made almost unnecessary the orchestra so I am not worried 😉 besides hear the same thing in every single symphonic metal album is very bored sometimes .
I personally feel that using orchestrations in the first half of the album would have been a bit too bombastic, it's already impressive as it is, so you're right, no need to worry ;-)
I don't really get why people are so worried about not having a full orchestra on disc 1. Nightwish never brought in a full orchestra until Once, and look how good the pre-orchestra albums are!
@@LordAmerican that's the same thing i say.. He is listening to Kai's answers and thinking what he is gonna say next on his turn. He's a person who can't always hide his feelings or thoughts, they're out there on his face.

I was so waiti for 10th April..thank you Marko and Kai..🤗 and yes i agree Tuomas is a Genius 1🤗👍🎁
Brilliant lyrics, brilliant musicians, brilliant vocals, brilliant arrangements! Nightwish forever!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Marco Hietala ,Nightwish mentioned, and for reasons!: "TOP 10 BASSISTS THAT CAN SING! KEN TAMPLIN VOCAL ACADEMY"
Both Marco and Kai seems like great dudes that would be a blast to hang out with, to drink some beer and talk about music and everything else.

The real question here is....is that a picture of two dogs having sex in the top right corner?
Correct! It's the album cover of a Finnish band named Kotiteollisuus. Album is called "Sotakoira II" ;-)
I thought it was a dinosaur having sex with a dog. 😂🤣😂
Love these guys! Can't wait for the new album! Thanks for posting this.

About last night...
U heard Floor will use Growls and Opera in this album. Is it true!?
Correct!
She growls awesome! Yours is an empty Hope is a shining example of Floors growling prowess!
That's one of the great things about Floor, she has such a powerful and diverse voice that she can sing in any style.
LMAO, the ending is funny.
