First of all congrats to the interviewer! Letting the person actually TALK, saying what he wanted to and go into explaining his thoughts. That's why we got such a beautiful view of Kai's personality which is so humble, open and genuine! And that makes you love Nightwish even more! Every single one of them is so special on its own way. It's like the stars aligned in order for us to listen to this greatness of music they make in combination with being inspired by their beautiful personalities!
I knew Kai from Windersun as Yuka and as a NW fan also i was very happy back then. Kai is a very talented drummer,i loved every minute of this interview,i learnt so many news today about the three bands i love,NW,Windersun and Auri. Thank you for this interview !!
Thank you for sharing this with us. Having no musical training, I don't pick out a lot of what's going on in songs, and need to have them pointed out to me; but even I understood how special Kai is when I watched the Nightwish [EDITED: I originally said Wacken 2013, but now I realize I don't remember exactly which concert it was] performance-- despite my lack of confidence, I *knew* that he was an absolute master of his craft. It's really nice to catch up on how he's doing. Thanks again!

I don't remember which live concert I fell in love with Kai at-- I know I've watched a later performance at Wacken, and their show at Wembley, and a couple of others. I knew Jukka had to retire because of health issues related to insomnia. Thanks for catching my mistake-- I got the concert wrong, but I most definitely remember being in awe of his drumming while watching one of their concerts.
So nice to hear Auri will Tour, that's how it should be. Maybe Tuomas is finally ready to let Nightwish go, and give his attention to Auri and Johanna. will be nice to see the Beautiful couple on tour together.
I don't think he's going to leave Nightwish, at least in the immediate future, since as he has said in other occasions, the band is his soul, I don't see him leaving Nightwish...

I will support Tuomas in whatever he wants to do, and I'll still give their new music a chance, but for the first time since I initially discovered the band, I wouldn't be super sad if they broke up or went on a long hiatus. I will never understand why Tuomas didn't get a bass player who could sing really well; I understand friendship and comradery and the comfort of knowing you get along with someone, but Marko's vocals weren't a side-dish or a cherry-on-top; they were integral to their songs and particularly to their live performances.

Kai didn’t play at Wacken 2013, that was Jukka. Jukka and Kai are both amazing drummers. 🙋♀️
