    Tuomas is just amazing. his music is exactly what these times need. The perfect reflection on what it means to be human, on our human history, on the importance of telling stories, on hope. you can write books about it but the truly great capture it in poetry and music. may there be many more albums.

    It's very nice to hear that he's not discouraged by the negative comments about "The Day of...". I love it that he doesn't feel pressured to stick to the same style. There are almost 100 Nightwish songs sounding "Nightwish" and people are complaining about one song not sounding "Nightwish".

    • @Blackwolf.777

      As a true nightwish fan I have the right to tell my opinion about the songs. When I like a song I tell it. When I don't like a song I tell it too. All of you that say that you like all , you are so fake. So stop it. Even tuomas himself have some favorite songs and some not so much. Even tuomas said that he loved a song of his so much but fans didn't Like it. So why tuomas should be disappointed? He knows how it works. I am a true fan and I am waiting the album to listen and to buy. I have all nightwish albums. And yew , I don't like all the songs. Especially from the last 2 albums. Be honest!! Tuomas would like that.
      Peace and love!!

    • @Lotta-t5p
      @Lotta-t5p 3 месяца назад +4

      @@Blackwolf.777 I'm also a true Nightwish fan and not a fake one. I didn't say that I like every song they do. (If you want to check I wrote a comment below the music video of „The Day of...“ writing about what I like about the new song and what I think they could have done better. I also agree with people on the fact that Floor's voice is a bit to low in the chorus of "Perfume of the Timeless". (Just to give you some examples.))
      It's totally okay when people say that they're disappointed, that they would like them to use Floor's voice to it's full potential or that this is not going to be one of their favourite songs as long as they stay kind and give reasons why they think so and how to do it better.
      What I don't like is when people are being rude and write comments like „This is so bad!“ without giving any advice on doing it better or when they want to tell Nightwish that they don't sound like „Nightwish“ and that they're boring.
      All I said in this comment was that it's nice to hear that Tuomas doesn't feel discouraged (not disappointed) from trying new sounds in the future and keep evolving the sound of Nightwish so it's always something new! And that's what I like about Tuomas and Nightwish: They are not afraid to try new sounds even if they probably know that this could be a song that doesn't do well. And the fact that they made the song into a single underlines this statement.
      I hope you understand what I mean and I wish you a great day!

    • @Blackwolf.777
      @Blackwolf.777 3 месяца назад

      @Lotta-t5p I understand completely and I get your point. But for me even if someone say something like(I will use your example) , it's boring, I will except it too. But I will say something else too. When you hear a band you Like their songs and for example you hear nightwish because you Like metal symphonic. And let's be honest. They lost this touch of pure symphonic metal. They are doing something very different now and although I felt very sad about it, i still listen their new songs. But it's not the same . I like them a lot but it's not the same. Just like linking park when years back when their music was a lot pop than before. I disappointed, but I would never stop listening to them. And so many other examples. I really hope you get me too.

    Slightly unwittingly Tuomas reveals how *EVERY* aspect of composing and songwriting is his “favourite part of the process” depending on his particular memory of how each song came about - and that’s exactly how it should be for such an accomplished musician, *EVERY* subtle nuance is orchestrated and memorable in it’s own personal way without having to necessarily run in a harmonious parallel with the fans - yet it mostly does. He is a true poet, musician and deep thinker, a perfect mind for creating timeless music that will live on far and beyond those of us privileged enough to have shared the journey with him. What a great time to be alive, and congratulations to Nightwish as a band for evolving and gelling together - but also to Auri, to Tuomas and his beautiful wife making beautiful music - with a little assistance from Troy obviously, another fine English musician who’s done extremely well for himself, and deservedly so. ❤

I know that when a musical idea becomes such a strong presence he'll find a way to express it, even if he has to go solo again. Also, Tuomas, I would fly anywhere in the world to see Scrooge performed live!

    "The Day of..." for some if reading some comments is anything to go by, seems to be the end of Nightwish, the Nightwish from back in the day. Their Nightwish. But for me this song takes Nightwish to a new EPIC level. I think that "Perfume of the Timeless" was great and now "The Day Of..." Is more than I could have hoped or wished for from a new Nightwish creation. Thank you Tuomas 🙏😊👍❤️

      It's a selfish attitude to have. Tuomas & his hiking buddy Tony Kakko are storytellers. It's their stories.
      It's music. People who are selfish with it are projecting issues they don't want to deal with.
      Life, people & music evolves. It just is.
      To me, they're Nightwish.
      Auri is Auri.
      Darkwoods My Betrothed is their own entity.

    i love nightwish songs, every single one of them. Each song so far has been its own adventure. a product of its own moment. These two updates, a peek into the dreams of past generations and the hope for a better one, and a look at the end of the world, which will inevitably come one way or another. At least on some level. for me these songs represent something new. without the past there can be no future, but the future can be much more than what the past offers as alternatives. that's exactly why I like these new songs and look forward to the upcoming album. what an adventure awaits me. Thank you Tuomas for not staying where you are but creating something new. you never get tired of this new exploration.

    Very ancient fan here, that would like to maybe add something. First Tuomas, thank you. Second, you have the super power of linking emotion, words, and understanding together in a pleasant medium to elevate all that are willing to listen to your stories. This is So important. Third to the interviewer. Being Belgin, you should understand that were it not for the wars, the plagues, the cultural interference, and even Tuomas' creations, you would not be you. How many other potential yous were brushed away, so the best you, with all your contributions, would occupy your place in the great Book of Life. Be the best you. Tuomas is writing guideposts along the way. Not only for you, but for everyone along the way. If I can get the quote right, in this galaxy, there's a mathematical probability of 3 million earth-like planets. In the known universe, 3 million million galaxies like this one. In all of that, and probably more, only one of each of us. Imaging how many unique Souls you have touched, and have yet to touch.

    Thanks for posting this interview. I would like to know if Tuomas would ever consider including one of Floor's solo songs in the set of the next Nightwish tour. I think the fans would love to hear Nightwish support her in this way---I certainly would. Also, I know this is the pre-album media junket for Tuomas and the others. So, for them this is "work" necessary to launch the new album. However, I wonder about Tuomas always seeming to be so reserved. So controlled with his speech. I realize he is speaking in a foreign language (English), and I understand that myself. That could certainly explain what I'm referring to. How much of his true persona is the serious/cautious nature we see in his interviews?
