I love how Hannes just really listens to everything she says. Adorable couple, I really wish them the best.
Listening to your partner is critical to maintaining a successful marriage (you don't have to agree, you don't even have to understand...but you do have to listen).
They clearly have great communication, which is important if you are going to have a succes marriage, and especially a marriage where you are apart for lang periods of time.
I noticed the way he looks at and actively listens to her. Too many pretend while thinking about something else. Go Hannes!
The good thing is the fact that they aren't Americans. They don't have that "Diva complex". They look like calm people that love and respect each other. Hannes is that cool guy that everyone want to be friend with. And Floor is Floor, no need to describe. She is the Valkyrie Goddess on stage, and Freya's mum outside. Who likes to be with the family and her horses.
First time I have actually seen Hannes clearly.I usually see him behind his kit hair and arms flailing.

Alas, I haven't been to Grand Rapids yet, but I wish so bad I went to that show. Would have been easier to get to than some of the concerts I've wanted to go to (Metro Detroit native).

Holy...Holy Crap!!! They met in Grand Rapids, MI!!! I was born and still live in Grand Rapids!!! I discovered Nightwish about 12 months ago and have been in love with this band ever since!!! I wish they would come back....what a beautiful couple!!! I would love to buy them some Founders Beer!!! :)

I have met Hannes a few times and he is always really nice and humble.
I liked him the moment, in another video, he referred to Grand Rapids, Michigan as something like "a wonderfully romantic place". These two both have the same dry sense of humor. As someone who has been married for 45 years, I can attest to the importance of sharing a sense of humor.

They’ve been together for over 6 years now and their daughter is almost 4.

Who cares how tall Floor is, what matters is her voice and singing. I am glad Hannes and Floor found each other and appear to be happy together.
From what I've read, Floor is 260cm, or 8'6.5" tall (doesn't look like it though: to be fair, she is a Valkyrie).

Goes like this Floor: They see you on stage and notice that there is something ... strangely elegant about your stage presence. But they can't put their finger on it. Then they watch more, eventually come to The Greatest Show On Earth in Tampere, get to the end and see you next to all your band mates and ask ... DANG, how tall IS this woman?!?

The perfect couple
First time I've seen an interview with them together. Really great questions, It didn't feel like they were being aske questions that were too personal like some do and a great story of their first 'date'. I'm a short woman who married a very tall man and have 3 daughters, 1 who is 5'11, and 2 are 6'. I say stand straight and be proud, tall women have a presence that is sexy and beautiful.

For me she has always seemed versatile in her taste. Of course she's metal, but she can spice it with anything. Except maybe the 'unalternative' :)
Now I'm waiting for her blues blood to kick in, and make her compose - because it touched her so young. Why not play blues on guitar - there are some excellent blues guitarist ladies. For I have this theory that the blue is what gives depth to her emotional diving to the songs.

Huh, this is one of the better interviews I've seen with Floor. It was nice to see her interviewed together with her husband. I've never listened to Sabaton before tho I've heard of them. I'll have to give it a try. I'm not really a big metal fan but Nightwish surprised me so maybe others will too.
You may like sabaton. Their songs are always catchy and easy to listen to, the band members are nice and they have a great sense of humour. Their live performances are awesome, they are a true live band. Their songs always tell stories from military history about famous battles, heroes and other legends, and they may just spark your interest in history. Consider Sabaton to be your musical history book. A good place to start is the official music video of their recent song Bismarck, that tells the story of the German battleship Bismarck. After that, watch the short documentary about this song on their history channel. Other great songs are for example The red baron and 82nd all the way. For both take the official lyric video first. Have fun! I’m sure you will like it!

@@treintje1001 I used to be interested in military history when I was younger. I kind of let that slide as I've gotten older but I do still have an interest in it so I might well like them. I remember some of the Johnny Horton songs one of which was called "Sink the Bismarck". I guess that would be classified as American country and western or perhaps folk music. That was a lifetime ago. It was a little before my time but still popular in the south when I was young.

Really enjoyed this! I’m a big Nightwish and Sabaton fan! In fact, I discovered Sabaton opening for Nightwish in Orlando, FL many years ago (discovered Delain at this same show, too).
Nice how Floor explains how the scene was back in the day here in the Netherlands, it's exactly how I experienced it myself. And how I came in contact with metal and the scene in general :)

Great interview. I caught them on the tour where they first met. Iced Earth/Sabaton/ReVamp in Mesa, Arizona. KICKASS SHOW!!!! Even got to meet Floor after her set.
So cool. And I like Floor even more. I also played the flute since I was a young boy until I was 14 yo and started to get interested grunge, rock and... well... in my case, girls. Difference is my band was really bad and although I enjoyed being second vocalist and bass (big fan of Marko too), it never went anyway but I'm glad to see both their paths. I am a big fan of Floor and now of Hannes as well. Awesomely humble and very cool couple. Thanks for uploading this!

Cousins, man!! I was introduced to Nightwish by my cousin and after that I started listening to metal bands. Nightwish being a favorite til this day. And then I introduced some other cousin to it and now she's an even bigger fan of metal then I am. x'D Guess we all have that one cousin with awesome taste in music, hehe.

I wouldn’t either, but I didn’t feel the need to say so. Heck, if it wasn’t for reaction videos, I wouldn’t have discovered Nightwish a couple of years ago. Everyone has their way of finding something.
I’ve been a fan of both Nightwish and Sabaton for over 10 years now, since before them two were in these bands. Imagine my surprise a few years ago when I found out they’re together 😳
