I am an Australian guy trying to live on a small footprint. I take in crew wherever I go and go where the wind takes me. I catch and gather food wherever I can.
I have no fridge or freezer, no oven, no aircon, no generator, no water heater, no watermaker ...

wow ...steep wounded bull charges ...lay the mast on deck , anti-foul the bottom , check the sea cocks and check the zincs , start engine and make sure that works , navigation lights check ....launch boat into sea.....cheers

Margarite is so pretty and really fabulous on the boat. You should let her speak more as she is so sweet and really interesting. It is really good when she has things to say about what is happening day-to-day and the adventures you both have. You really take the Captains role too serious when you refer to the boat as being “yours”, and she is just the “crew”. Well done Margarite 👍👏😁

I agree with you...I reckon a good ratio would be 70% her and 30% me but unfortunately Margarida is a very private person and believe it or not it is a struggle to get her on camera.....when I sort the videos, any film with any hint of Margarida is at the top of the list and goes into the video immediately...and since we have to have content then I throw all the rubbish in with me to make up the volume...otherwise the vids will be 30s long

Get those things done on the hard that need to be done on the hard done. Sealing portholes, rewiring, etc. - that can all be done at anchor. That gal seems like quite the trooper - exactly the kind of wife that a sailor needs.

Blisters are only visible if the boat has been in the water, for at least a week, and just taken out! Then the blisters are visible! if theBoat has been on the hard for a while, the blisters have emptied, and are no longer seen! A surveyor should do a sound check, and listen for area's that have hidden blisters!

Bodge. Wow, hardstand costs...omg. Can you find a friendly landowner where you can hardstand at your own pace.
Good channel dont worry about not being on the water. Good to see you guys working the problems.
I think there are a lot of a bad boats out there crossing oceans that haven't been looked over like you are doing...
I DO really appreciate a safe approach. Good on ya.
Rule 1, keep the water on the outside.
    Rule 2, dont fall out.
Rule 3, dont crash into anything. - Oppps sore point, but your boat will be sigificantly safer than a lot of boats on vlogs i follow. And i would do the same. Maybe its an generational thing, baby boomer consevatives low risk approach...
Yer, stays, anchor, rudder motor, through hulls, rigging, navigation, power water, fuel, jackets, comms, raft. You got it all figured.
And a good crew! Good on ya Margaretta. Most important part of the package! Im still waiting to find out why she is working so hard on the boat. Maybe ill check.on patrron for inside info...

Just want to add that no fibreglass boat has ever sunk due to osmosis (pimply bum) nor does water in the rudder pose a problem. My S&S has suffered from these ailments for over a decade and I had no detrimental outcomes. I did panic at first. But then I did some extensive research on the issues.

Don't worry about the $ Geoff we are OK now, certainly not like January, we won't grow on what we have though, we need more numbers....the best thing you can do, is when you watch any other channel be it sailing cooking RV whatever if you read some of the comments, maybe make a comment about us, don't post the link because it will likely go to the automatically withheld bin, simply write our name and say "that reminds me of ----" or check out this one etc etc, work it in to the other comments, if you can do that a few times a week, and I had 1000 more people doing that then we can keep making videos and perhaps repair some gear too and upgrade some gear....whatever you can do buddy would be great...thanks

Trying to find surveyor that is good is difficult. Probably the point to all this is that all old boats are full of problems and you have to be johnny on the spot
