I have the trailers. I just wanted this option to pull whatever onto any trailer. This is perfect! I looked at these same parts and was hoping someone else had done this! Thank you for posting this!
@@chriswinslet6696 I’ve yet to try it out. Man I wish I had my own setup! NICE!!! There was a comment left showing concern for the amount of weight the receiver could handle.(4000lbs) Imma see if I can get it beefed up with stronger welds it reinforce it…💪🏾🏁💪🏾🏁💪🏾
YESSSIRRR! I still haven’t put it into motion. Keep me posted on your setup. The brother that I stitched his vid from was the first I seen do it. Really clean. I’ve had a few peeps voice concern over that hitch and the weight capacity. I may have a shop “beef” the part up some…
YESSSSSIR!!!!!!! Man I was blown away!!! This comes right on time for me cuz I got a slab laid and the #DTOXBU will be here soon! This will make easy work for us..🙌🏾🙌🏾
I also want the same set up just to load my motorcycle. Now I assume the two front forks is the best place to attach two straps that end up at the winch. My plan is to sit on the motorcycle as in duck walking with a winch remote in my hand so I can start and stop. Now I have not done it yet but is that how you would also do it? Or is there a better way yet?
Thanks! All my project vehicles are under that weight. But that info is nice to know for peeps that may want to try this with a heavier ride. When I finally put it to use, I’ll mention that on the vid. 🏆🏆🏆
I was also concerned about the 4,000 lbs. weight limit. I am looking at dual hitch extension on Amazon with a fully solid shank that has a 10,000 lbs. weight limit. A bit pricier, but certainly worth the extra margin of safety.
Yep!!!!! This is right up the “do it yourself” kinda guy’s alley! I try to do mods here in the garage so I can get things going when I need to. It buys me a lot of time to save for the trailer I want also! I’ll have a vid up soon with everything in place and show the 78 #DTOXBU from loading up to pulling her in the shop.💪🏾🏁💪🏾🏁💪🏾
Bro, i put a hitch on the front of my truck as well with my winch rig exactly like yours. I'm in Maine and use it when stuck in mud or snow or a ditch.lol
been looking at buying a parts truck for my own truck and found a ton that dont run and was going back and forth on just flat towing or renting a uhaul... but then how would i pull it ONTO the trailer?? this is just what i needed, especially with not wanting to spend that 5k-10k on a trailer and everything. thank you tons loved the video!
Oh fam I was in the same situation with all my projects.i found the vid I stitched in at the end. Started researching and looking for anyone that may have done it.. I haven’t tried it yet tho..
Great minds think alike I was just trying to figure it out and decided to you tube it then bam another elco brother doing the same I didn't want to weld on my trailer I feel ya I'm a lonesome dove also my trailer isn't a dove tail so I back my truck on ramps to lower rear end thanks gang keep reppin
Fam I said the same thing when I went looking and found bros vid!! I said man there has to be someone that’s done this!! I’ll be putting it all to the test soon and uploading a vid!🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Please be careful and don’t let anyone get behind the car in case the line breaks or some other bad crap happens. Probably a gods idea to have a driver in the car if it has brakes.
Appreciate the concern.. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾the car I’m moving is gutted and falls waaaay under the spec limitations of the hitch. Just going 5 miles up the way. The guys vid I stitched apparently used this method a lot to haul complete cars(vid stitch towards the end)
I will tell you be careful with that winch mount plate if you put a real strain on that it will twist and ruin your winch. I do use 12000 harbor freight winch . Man We Love it , it’s Bad !!!!! Get the winch with the rope it’s well worth it.
🏆🏆🏆 I’ve yet to test it out, but the young bro I mentioned and used parts of his vid has done this many times. I’m currently adding a winch to my garage to aid in pulling the cars in. I’ll be doing an update vid soon!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sorry so late to respond! I’m not getting g alerts and I can’t see added comments in the app. Strange… I’ll be trying this out soon and I’ll upload the vid🏁🏁
To get the vehicle off the trailer get a snatch block put it at the back of the trailer hook your winch to the front of the vehicle then when you pull the winch in it will pull the vehicle backwards
Nice. Only 2 cents I have to add is invest in a name brand winch. You can then transfer it to your trailer and it will last a lifetime. I do want to try that synthetic winch rope too, I can't stand the cables.
Yesssir!!!!! I’ve been researching winches for the past couple weeks. Imma set it up so I keep it all removable once I get my own trailer. The synthetic rope is dope! I worry about it snagging but I guess I could lay something down so it won’t rub and tear. I watched a gang of vids of the Badlandz Apex 12000lb winch. Great review from a former WRner winch employee/builder. Thanks for the tips fammo!! I most likely will wait until around Christmas unless I come up on a helluva deal

Great video with lots of useful information. I really appreciate it. 👍 Thanks!
Appreciate you tuning in fam! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You and the young bro just did me a solid😀 ...... I have the landscape trailer and a tow dolly and this setup will help me on both situations.
I started with this same setup yesterday, glad I found your video. going back to the store to get the dual hitch receiver extender

Definitely changed the game with this one.

YUUUP / This is exactly what I did, but for my Motorcycle, works AAAAAMAZING!!!! Good for you my Homie
BAD ASS!!!! 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

The Harbor Freight dual hitch extender has a weight limit of 4000 lbs. I wouldn't tow a trailer with it. I would use it to load a vehicle.

@@WarrenGBodyThat includes the weight of the trailer. A car + trailer are likely going to be over that weight.

Great video and very informative. I might look into this setup as well. For the most part its a one man show at my house

Would one first hook the trailer up and then the winch?
