We each move through the world in a unique way that's expressed through one of 4 Energy Types. Your Energy Type is the underlying deep movement that is in your being and comes out through your personality. It shows up in your behavior tendencies, in your thoughts and feelings, and in the characteristics and tendencies on how you approach the world. It can be found in the gifts and talents that are natural to you.

Your Energy Type is expressed in many different ways. When we're not thinking or worrying about who we "should" be, we express our natural Energy Type effortlessly.

My mother does all of this! If you don't send her enough emojis, she calls to see if you're angry about something. She doodles daisies and hearts, and she "bounces" to places. "I'm bouncing over to the store," or "I'm taking the dog for a quick bounce around the block." Everything is "fun" if it's worthy of compliment. She once solemnly told a widow at a funeral that the service was "such fun" instead of "lovely" and felt horrible for days. I thought it was hilarious.

Others talk about a “work ethic”, and, yes, I have one. But I’ve always said I have a strong “play ethic.”

My mother is 94 and has had dementia for 12 years, but she's a Type1 and still very animated, fun and adorable. The other day she kept saying she wanted a darlet. I kept trying to figure out what she meant and finally said, "I don't know what a darlet is, mom." She smiled and said, "That's because I made it up!"

Oh my goodness. My doodling is always hearts, flowers, stars, and smiley faces 😂.

I always liked to animate words. I feel it as a step beyond literacy.

Type 1s are so brilliant at keeping children entertained. I’ve noticed a lot of kids shows feature a Type 1 energy, but the bright and animated movement doesn’t look ridiculous on them at all!

I am still digesting and embracing my T1. I was typed by Carol and watching the videos to fill in what she sees and to remind me of my childhood. I did doodle in circles and spirals as a child. I saw a woman in college who was a T1 and she was bright, animated, sparkling, and light and I thought WOW.

Before I knew I am a T1 I thought I couldn't be because my idea of 'fun' is not typical and not social. Making my art is fun. Reading a book is fun. Learning new things is fun.

Yay for type 1s! 🤩 🎉🎉🎉 Yes, almost all of what you said fits, Carol 👏 Emojis, laughing while speaking, and I LOVE animation of words! 👍 I don't say "fun" much, but I do say "how exciting" and "wow" 😄 Nickname as a child was Dee Dee 😊💖 Thanks, Carol!

I have had some huge breakthroughs in understanding myself over this year. I wasn't who I thought I was in several different ways. I've been dulling myself down so that I am not overwhelming or too much for others.

I’m revisiting these videos to reassure myself that I’m truly a T3S1. 😂 I think my S1 is trying to take over, especially in these warmer months. I still choose type 3 rich jewel tone colors, but when it comes to prints I want all the Watermelons, lemons, bananas and limes!

I am laughing as I listen to your video on the TYPE 1 traits. Yep, one friend loves that I am fun; another comments that I think everything is fun; I do play with words; I do not have a nickname; I doodle! WOW

I am a type 1 with a secondary 4. When deciding my type, it was very hard because my secondary was so close to my primary. Even my tertiary type 2 is very close. The only one I could definitely rule out at first was type 3. As an only child, I lived in the type 2 and 4 world and it was hard to see my type 1 at first. It was these kind of things that tipped the scales to type one.

As a young child I had issues with some sounds/words and for a little while when I would ask for a drink of water it would come out as “please a wink of water” so for a brief time I was called winky! 😂
