Louis is even more fearless than he is mild mannered.
@@Marcellus-Wallace he's asking these questions, to obvious killers, as matter of factly as it can get without any hesitation, or front. Cameras or not his resolve and interview technique is, and always has been, astronomically brave yet polite. He's literally the master of this. I've been watching him since the start, and have grown up around a lot of Africans from all over Africa. I may not be from there but I'm far from as naive as you suggest. Not that it's relevant to the initial comment I made.
@@WallKenshiro thats the thing. You're not African. You wouldn't know. Your idea of what you think it is, is the 180 of what it really is. Its simply one of those things you have to be to understand. Sorry, maybe in the next lifetime...if there is one. 👋🏿
because people are people and he is giving them some sort of "fame"
Swear to god most of these guys would die to defend Louie, just because he's "telling their story and focusing on them"
"You're a woman. How do you stop someone taking your spot?"
"My number 2 is a soulless monster from the depths of hell."
"Fair enough."
Lmao basically had that look about him. He'd kill for her
Literally! One look at that guy and I was like, 'Oh, that's why no one takes her out. She's got a terrifying beast on her leash'.
You know that !
I'm scared of that number 2 guy. He looks someone who'd burn down a whole street just to light his cigarette. His head already f*cked up.
If dave is scared then we all in trouble
Dave it the first I've heard that one !!!
Dave Partner 😂😂😂
hilarious !! lol
Kkkkkk kkkkkk
It's crazy how direct he is, and that people are willing to talk to him. Normally this sort of thing is never spoken of openly.
That's his talent
love the guy at the end saying 'maybe the past is haunting him"
so many of these louis interviews reveal articulate people caught in inarticulate situations. The philly documentary where everyone had something verging on intelligence to say while, they themselves were identified as the precipice for a nonsensical-violent dynamic between each other and police
Nobody asked to be born. and that fact that you found yourself in the western world as opposed to someplace else was stroke of luck. People are born everyday into brutal situations without end. I dont feel like i was one of them, but even still many would consider my upbringing somewhat unfortunate. Acknowledge your hand friends
well put
I was pretty astounded by his knowledge of English especially since he is unemployed. He even understood the word euphamism. I know some native English speaking adults that don't know what it means.
@@BaldMancTwat Nigeria is English speaking though as a former British colony. It's the main language.
I think this is my favourite documentary of all time, Louie Theroux is an absolute genius at what he does
Genius in showing d world shit about Lagos....? If no be poverty if fit be Agbero... nonsense
@@yemmymoore 😂😂😂😂
AK 74 he’s just being white... where’s the genius in that lol xD
@@yemmymoore Maybe if you write it in proper English I would understand what you are trying to say
You know the guy with no shirt on is a real g 'coz when Louis asked him how he got the scar he just said it was an accident, most guys would be bragging how they got hit with a machete or shot ect but this guy kept stum like he didn't need to brag, definitely wouldn't like to get on his bad side
BiggieBigLnPac true stories this man doesn't see it as a issue his seen worst sort of thing
He probably just slipped on a banana peel and cracked his head open.
+innit tho horrified? Oh man. This is quite common enough. Enjoy yourselves though.
A badass nigga really
Maybe it's really a accident
How the hell i end up watching a female gang leader, i never searched for?? RUclips take note pls.
Maybe Nigerian pastors should stop praying for other countries and start praying for their country
fool.
Exactly
Exactlu
we are only helping you people by praying the devil out of you people😂😂😂
Not maybe.
This is not a gang, this what we call unemployment
Silent Reactor true it seems they are being forced to gang up.
No, it's a gang.
Nah it not
Showing ID
True unemployment not a gang
louis with his socratian guestioning. you got to have respect for his kind of journalsism because it's one of the few kinds of journalism that truly matters.
TheAdekrijger that's true he demonstrates why Socrates method is so good
Especially in the worst journalistic era in history. The shit I see in mainstream media nowadays is like being back in the Soviet Union, it’s a joke. Louis tries to keep it real which is probably why we don’t see much of him anymore.
Liar
They are proud like a tiger and forget they are only human,
The spokesperson appears well-spoken, and rightfully so I suppose 🙂
lol! duhhh
during whatever fracas... you can sustain a bump
lmao
As is the case of many . He's misplaced despite his basic education and language skill. Obviously educated to a certain level probably with an o level but couldn't get work and too poor and unconnected to havevanybkind if career and so resorted to the streets
Lighton Phiri in your country how are they
If only the spokesman can get it together, he would be their leader. Surely, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding differ. Whether he has any is doubtful.
That guy saw a white man and changed is accent
Am so ashamed of him
I tell you. He was trying to form European.
This is a big problem self hate.
Lolzzz
@@stanchauke7332 I don't agree. English isn't our language speaking it in the first place is self hate.
"[Points at the visible dent in the man's skull] That looks painful..."
Yes, Louis. Quite.
Seriously though, Louis knows all about that kind of hardship, having sustained many serious injuries during his badminton days.
LOL to be fair that's what makes him brilliant, his style is to ask lowkey questions like that, often with silence afterwards, where the interviewee usually feels the need to divulge more, which in turn gets the most out of the interview.
I laughed way too hard at this. xD
The guy with no shirt is her number 2. 😂
Cate A Whys that funny :S?
Cate A I'm scared 😳
1 brains
2 muscles
Gromit Pesley Because "Number 2" is a euphemism for poo.
British best investigative journalists how did I missed it.
SCHEVCHENKO FOR PRESIDENT
Let's rewind and try to imagine that "Number 2" ...in another way. Without the missing front teeth and "accident". Lol. With a loving father, an educated mother and pretty sisters. Behind a computer designing interiors, making his city a beautiful and classy place. Just imagine if you can. Life is simply a refelection our experiences...anywhere in the world.
Yours, is an imagination of a visionary. You are a very unique individual.
@Jai Rey you're an ignorant sweaty peasant
Thoughtful comment
It doesn’t have to be a reflection of our experiences though, everyone even the ‘privileged’ have bad experiences this sounds like more of a excuse for making the wrong decisions in life and not taking personal responsibility..
@@Joelpittman84 yes but people have to learn somehow they grow up going through certain experiences that teach how to live and what decisions to make in the future many privileged have bad experiences and become ‘bad’ people we as humans have created a vicious cycle where people go through tough experiences become ‘bad’ people and cause bad experiences for others repeating this cycle
Louis just goes to show that questions themselves are not “rude.” However, leading, ignorant, or passive aggressive questions are easy to recognize, and unfortunately a lot of interviewers use journalism as a pass to confront/judge others.
Protection racket, pay or I won't protect you from myself 🤔
Lool this is funny. Poverty really makes people delusional. That spokesman really taking his job seriously lol
This fucking embarrassing. It shows just how much we need to be in control. Unfortunately, we going about it wrong.
You dont want to mess with that lady.
This was his best documentary 👌🏿
No one:
Literally no one:
RUclips: Female Gang Boss
Detroit is looking great.
I'm sure impoverished parts of Russia and the Balkans are looking just as better.
John Doe - yah, socialism can do that or any other leftwing ideologies like Maoism, communism, Marxism, Leninism, Trotskyism, Chavista, Sandinista, Khmer Rouge, and the Castro’s regime. All Yuden based ideologies, a skunk by any other names still stinks.
I'm mostly creeped out about the weird statue in the background
1:46 Louis putting some area boys into an awkward position... their quick answer is priceless
How about doing a documentary on Law and Disorder in London too? Every City has its downtown!
Boohoo. I know which is better and it ain't this dump. Cry salty delicious tears. CRY THEM.
The dude with the scar on his head is how she stays in power he is her muscle. Without him she would be lunch meat for those dudes.

The soon we nigerian begin to understand that the so called poverty in that country is artificial or man made and come out in mass and end it the better . The world is wait for the masses to take action before they can interven.
You travelled all the way to Nigeria to interview gangs...that's what you want the media to see isn't it?..smh
please help me ask him , they always like to make us look bad
He travels around the world not just Nigeria talking to gangs and other people including murderers
@@tee-rai Dont be naive...you ever been to a country without gangs
How am I being naive Luis has interviewed gangs in north and south America even in Europe he has been to Kenya south Africa so what's the issue of him going to Nigeria
@@tee-rai Not saying he is biased in what he is doing , my initial comment is based on the general observation that there are too many documentaries such as this when it comes to Nigeria. The diverse culture is not explored...the people..fashion...music...food...all they ever talk about are issues that depict the country in a bad way.
Q: "How do you control the men?" A: "Na God o..." Almost had me doubled...
What does it mean?
@@TS-jd9qs Basically saying "I control the men through the power of God who strengthens me" literally "you don't want to know"

Louis Theroux is no reporter he's Kaiser Soze pretending to be Verbil.
The only one I saw is that guy forming accent;
One-eyed man in the town of the blind is king
Love to see women take active leadership roles in their communities!
feminism 101
Equality.
A female leader is unusual but it's not all that far fetched. Most people in positions of power have certain core traits in common and for whatever reason its mostly men out of an already small percent of people. So her leadership isn't any different from a man, she actually succeeded at it in contrast to most women.
Shevchenko
She's not in charge
dis thugs don smoke pawpaw leaf
Perfect. This really proves that women can be in power and can have really influence if they give it their all😅.
Bullshits
Gambu...you keep telling yourself that stupid lie while in your comfort zone. I know I will never see your swell head behind at the battlefront
Hahaha people, don't be hating on women leadership. What's wrong?
@@gambu4810 being a parasite and fronting a bunch of weakened dysfunctional, traumatised, poor, uneducated and disconnected to further parasite from them and them in turn parasite from other weak is what you call leading? Take a seat bitch. You, her and the rest of your ilk are only good at one thing. Being a parasite. Not a leader. Yes there are women who can lead. If this thuggishness is your example the only thing you have achieved here is exposing you just another dysfunctional thuggish bitch with a swell head and a long tongue
No need for equality. The guys harmonise very well with her authority.
Good job👍
Queen Cerci and the Mountain vibes
Wow d spokeperson is absolutely fantastic.. Is he one of dem?what a pity
I really do not see the point of the interview...because I do not see a thing changing ever ever ever....

Why dose he Neex a translator ? Nigeria Is A English speaking country !
Not all have a good command though
But the English is totally different in dialect sounds like another language!
The English language is a second and official language in Nigeria. There are over 360 indigenous languages and over 1000 dialects in Nigeria. If you don't have a western education, you can't have a good command of the English language.
Inappropriate title
Her man is probably a leader of a large powerful gang lol.

This is propaganda
The real lagosians have become miscreants and area boiz courtesy of Tinubu. While Atowunrinwa (non lagosian) has become the Kingmaker dictating the do and don't to the real sons and daughters of the land. Such an irony.
See Agbero de twist tongue 🤣😂
The disgust on the reporter's face!, Now go to the Queen of England and ask her to return what she looted from Africa.
What is the statue in the background? Why the sheer draped over holding a stick?
It's an Eyo masquerade - one of Lagos's cultural symbols
