Hey! Just wanted to say how fantastic this video is. The quality and how thorough the overview makes for such easy and informative watching. It's one of the best I've seen for any Disney resort overview and definitely the best for Riviera. Fantastic format and a fantastic video!
We are travelling over from the uk in August for a 3 week stay, we have booked a preferred view studio for 6 nights, plus 2 other resorts. If you had to choose between Riviera or wilderness lodge, we've never stayed at ether resort, what would you go for ?
They are both BEAUTIFUL resorts! Depends on what you enjoy more...the rugged wilderness, or the sleek euro-feeling riviera? Wilderness Lodge feels cozy, serene, remote and relaxing. You have the convenience of boats to the Magic Kingdom and I love the outdoor bar, Geiser Point. The Riviera is more hotel-like with lots of marble and stunning, bright rooms. The convenience of being steps to the Skyliner taking you to Epcot and the Studios is fantastic. Topolino's at the Riviera is a really good restaurant too. But if I really had to choose, I would go for the Riviera because Epcot is my favorite park and the Skyliner is so easy. But truly, they're both amazing experiences. I don't feel like you can go wrong with either choice. Hope this helps! Thanks @Disneydan864. Let me know what you choose and your opinions on it! I'd love to hear your opinion.
I love the way you took the video from one area to the next. Especially the way you zoomed out so you can see from a distance and then closer up and then inside! Thank you so much!
Became a DVC member last year and I haven't had a chance to go yet... which means I got to book double the time this year! Staying at the Riviera in a 1 Bedroom for 10 days in September and couldn't be happier. So excited to have yearly vacations here now and I can get work done if I need to!
Wow! That will be wonderful for you! And, I know about working while on vacation. Been doing it for years. Hope you have the best vacation every Funnythings15!
Thank you so much ARXV Photo! I recommend any of the resorts around the Magic Kingdom. Bay Lake Tower, Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Any of these with a theme park view is great for fireworks. Best was Bay Lake Tower, even though I didn’t like the studio. Maybe a one or two bedroom villa there would be better however. Hope this helps! Thanks again. :)
Thanks for the video! I set up a week in the fall to give as a gift to my daughter and her partner for their honeymoon. I'm super excited because I wanted to give them something special - and this resort looks fabulous.
Stayed there in spring 2022. Clean and nice. Not over the top with Disney stuff. Lower key and luxurious. But if you’re little kids want to be “in it” probably not for them
Oh wow, congrats! I REALLY love the Riviera. If I were buying points right now I would definitely choose the Riviera! Welcome to the troop Adam. Thanks so much!
the food at riviera (i ate at both bar riva and topolino's while staying there) is the best i have had on property, and ive been going for many years. doesnt seem like this could be by accident - i have to think disney really wanted this to be upscale and offer great food for those that value that over the typically highly-themed approach (which riviera definitely lacks, probably by design). couple all that with the skyliner access and the nicest looking rooms i have seen in disney, and i think they really pulled it off with this one.
Hi Jay: I certainly agree. I loved staying there and look forward to staying there again. Wish I could afford to buy DVC points there, but they're over $200+ per point. Yikes. Thanks for the contribution!
@@TheMouseScout the resales are VERY cheap at riviera, due to the fact that the points can ONLY be used at this property (something theyre doing for the first time with riviera). if youre fine with only going to riviera with these points, there are great deals to be found.
Not for me. I believe they're using 3 sheets now days. One for the bottom, one on top of you and a third on top of the blanket. Clear as mud? Wish I could describe it better. Thanks JT!
I see this comment often but many would argue, including myself, that I rather they just complete the parks the currently have and add new rides (not remodels). It's certain a new park would make transportation impossible based on current issues and would add infrastructure cost. Truly just need more park capacity which is what they probably know themselves. Hence MK announcement and new vision plan for AK.
Great overview of the resort. We're staying here for one night next month before boarding the Wish, but haven't been there before, thanks! BTW, kudos for the following things in your video: Showing what you're talking about, doing a VoiceOver instead of having a bunch of background noise you're talking over and a thumbnail that isn't a contorted, overacted mugging face with a clickbait title.
I only have one question. What is the standard room that can sleep up to 4? I entered a contest for me, my partner and 2 friends. All of us are adults and we don't wanna lay on the floor in a tower suite 😅
Deluxe studios sleep up to 4 adults. It has one queen bed and one pull-down queen bed. It also has a pull-down bunk, but that would be very small for an adult. Be sure to watch the video I’m posting tomorrow, it covers all the rooms at the Riviera. But the Tower Studios are only for 2 people. It’s only 255 square feet and very small. Thanks BulletBader Games!
Gone are the lobbies of Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Grand Floridian etc. DVC is all about the towers now..Baylake, (Baylake 2 In 2029) Riviera and future Poly 2. Small lobbies and underwhelming deluxe studio villas for the value crowds.
It certainly feels like it but if you look at a map, it's just across the street from Epcot. Funny, huh? Distances are so deceiving at WDW because of all the trees. Resorts are hidden everywhere. Thanks Mrs Thomson!
Stunning-thanks for sharing
Thanks so much @lydiaalmafitano!

I’m so glad you found it helpful. I appreciate you’re letting me know. Thanks!! Ked
Fantastic and thorough video of this resort. We’re going with our toddlers. Which wing would you recommend for the best firework views?

I love this resort! Thanks so much for covering it so well. I can't wait to go back and stay there again.
I love your videos. Keep at it.
Thank you so much! I look forward to returning there again too. I REALLY like this resort.

I really love it there. And it’s so convenient being next to the Skyliner!! Thanks for your input DP!!
Great video. Just found your channel and immediately subscribed. We just joined DVC with this as our home resort. We cannot wait!

My ranking for this resort (Out of 21 WDW Resorts):
Location: #4
Theming: #10
Layout: #10
Room: #1
Staff: #19
Recreation: #21
Dining: #6
Transport: #5
Overall: #8
Very interesting, Landon. Why did the staff get such a low number? Did you have a bad experience? thanks so much!
Great video! It doesn't look like the beds have duvets. How does this impact sleep quality?
Not for me. I believe they're using 3 sheets now days. One for the bottom, one on top of you and a third on top of the blanket. Clear as mud? Wish I could describe it better. Thanks JT!
New subscriber 🇺🇸💥
Awesome thank you! Welcome to the Troop!
I realize that DVC is a huge revenue source for WDW, but to me they desperately need a 5th gate to tamp down the extremely large crowds.
Agreed! They certainly have room for it.
I agree, totally unacceptable.

OMG! You're so funny. Thank you so much! My goal is to showcase the hotel or my subject matter, not me. :)

@The Mouse Scout no, no, thank YOU for that helpful tip!
Any character dining at this resort, my granddaughter is turning 3.
Hi Teena. Yes, they have a character breakfast at Topolino's with Mickey and friends. I have not had a chance to try it, but I hear it's really good.
man- salut-Omg. you did great ~goodbye!-=))
I appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Yeah, so true. My Aunt and Uncle went to Aulani and said that the lobby there was also small. Kinda sad.
Nice resort but feels in the middle of nowhere
