We have had a Tag and now have a 2018 Tab. The Tag worked for a few years. It was light weight and easily pulled behind our Tacoma 4 cylinder. The main problems we faced were 1. no bathroom or shower, not a big deal unless you camp in a state or federal forest campground, and 2. As you get older, the Tag is harder to get into.
We like the Tab better because you can stand up in it, you have the bathroom, the heating system, although the Aldi system takes awhile to warmup the trailer, and you have more storage. It pulls easily with our 6 cylinder Tacoma although the gas mileage drops about 4 mpg. We have to store it outside, the Tag fit in the garage even with the truck and Prius. I wish our Tab had the cassette toilet.
There are many more reasons we like the Tab over the Tag. They both are built well and require minor maintenance.

Thanks for the comparison. As a single traveler I think the TAG XL will work for me and my Subaru Outback can pull it without a problem. I loved the ending of you video, too funny!

Didn't realize the beds were that much different. We're both under 5'5" so we fit just fine sleeping wheel to wheel in our 320CS-S. The big factor in us getting the 320 was being able to eat, dress and use the bathroom inside and there was no need to setup/breakdown/store any other tents which is what we wanted to get away from, being former tent campers. If it weren't for you're sleeping situation I would highly recommend you try a 320CS-S which give you the best of both worlds and then some. BTW...the Alde control panel and Jensen entertainment system have settings that will turn off the lights. It's just not a default setting. I believe the AC control panel goes dark by default.

Thanks, a video that shows real world use of the campers is to rare here, this is valuable. Looking to pick up a tag 320 at some point - bathroom, fridge and I am only 5’6”. I wish it would fit in a garage - only downside for me. The new tag barefoot looks great, almost same floor plan 320 so I am not sure you’d sleep better in that and I don’t think they are available just yet. Thanks again!

Thank you for this in depth comparison. I'm actually visiting an rv dealer and will test a tab and a tag to see which is a better fit. The inside bathroom might deal the deal. (But wish the toilet was cassette...) Cheers and happy travels.

I'll be buying a real mattress for whatever model I get, sleeping on thin pads is for younger people. I was surprised to learn how many companies make RV sized mattresses. Definitely an important upgrade.

You. absolutely can have a mix. The T@B 320-CS has the outside kitchen with the bigger counter and tons of storage inside. We also had a T@G and LOVED it but.... we are older enough we use the bathroom at night a lot and so have upgraded to the T@B 320-CS because I love cooking outside Thanks for your comparison

We're trying to decide which one is best for us, we currently have the Tag Boondock. Awesome video with honest Pro's and Con's for each. Thank You.

Thanks for the video. We just bought a 2018 TAG that was never used. Ready to figure out how to doing this in the winter and gear up to see if it it for us next Spring. Looking for some great close locations to explore.

We have the 320s BD. The stove issue. There is usually a glass top on that but looks like taken out. Can use as counter. We have a special flat cover on top of glass. We do not cook much inside. The bed we find if you open the cabinet in back it gives you not such a closed feeling. Some have taken them out. We can also sleep wheel to wheel. But yes still working on finding the best most comfortable way. All them light issues can be solved. We are in total blackness. Radio light can shut off. We use a power strip in outlet for microwave. You can keep it off or just pull plug. There is a switch you can get that you can hook to back of tv and then you can turn that blue light off. The compartment in the very back. Took off that one piece door and custom made three separate doors. Did not put them on hinges. Just finger lift them. Or just don’t have a door and use little baskets.
I agree with garage issue. I think you have two kids. In that case I would look at the 400.
We like the ability to make twin beds also with the 320. We also have other brackets to locate lagun table in different spots but it can also hook up outside. Made another table top for that. The BD version also gives you places to set stuff.

Simply open up the roof vent when using the stove. Alde controls can be changed to night mode. We use the Tab as twin beds. We take off the backs cushions. And love the wet bath. And simply we can stand up.. Basically it would never work for you anyway, since you live in an HOA. Unless you rent storage? The Tag is a coffin. Listen that rear kitchen is awful on a rainy chilly day. Much rather have a Aliner fold-up camper then that coffin you stay in . Both have small fridges; We own two Travel Trailers a Grand Design couples couch and the Tab 320. Will be changing the Tab 320 for a Tab 400. We use the Tab for our winter camping outside of Florida. We had to spend 1,800 customizing the cushions in the Tab 320 for better sleep.

How did the Tab 320 pull compared to the Tag? Have you looked at the Tab 400?

You can modify the sleeping but you can't fix the garage fit.

The big advantage is the bathroom, funny how you just glossed over that and said you didn’t get a chance to use it.
