  • In this video, we install an eBay "AEM copy" high-flow fuel rail after investigating why the sparkplugs are burning different colors, cylinder 1 is burnt black but cylinder 4 is white. we find out that the cylinders are running at different air/fuel ratios due to the small stock fuel rail.
    We drill out the new fuel rail from 10mm to 14mm to fit the bosch 440cc injectors.

      Hi No Limit, I did check them after and it did fix the issue luckily. I have new plugs going in before the dyno session, that will be the real test is it should not foul the plugs black after the tune.

      Hi Jeff, really nice collection of cars you have had, "clean" hondas from the 90s are getting rare now, and the B Series parts is now getting expensive.

      Hi Frosty, yes plug 1 is the best one, my worry was that they are not all looking the same. I did replace the sparkplugs because they were fould out because they running to rich.

    I have a 2000 Hr-V with a D16W1 none vtec engine. What other Honda engines fit my car? Appreciate any help.

    • @RisingBoostYT
      @RisingBoostYT  2 года назад +1

      Hi Dan, the D16W1 is very similar to any other D15/D16. easiest swop would be a D16Z6, using the mounts (post mount/T-bracket) from the W1 motor. a B Series may fit, however I don't think there is a post mount or T-bracket available for the HR-V chassis. so it will have to be custom fab mounts to make a Bseries fit.

      @@RisingBoostYT I’d probably skip the B series (older engine I supposed) I’m thinking of a Vtec upgrade what would be the closest for my HrV? I can fabricate mounts if I have to, btw I subs, Cheers.

      @@DANIEL-ls5ku budget and goal for your car is very important. That being said, if you’re by the means, I’d consider the K series route.
