They're both great tools to learn. WordPress is for no-code development whereas Figma is strictly for design. Generally it's best to learn Figma first as it's easier, faster to create your first project, and teaches you the fundamental concepts of good design. Once you've created a few projects in Figma you can transfer a lot of your design knowledge over to WordPress. WordPress - and other development environments for that matter - become exponentially easier to learn when you have a solid grasp of design fundamentals. Starting with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, etc. will likely result in a lot of confusion, wasted effort, and subpar websites. That's just been my experience, thank you for your question and I'm wishing you the best of luck in your design journey!

Fantastic summary, thanks for sharing!
Perfect is the enemy of Done.
The best way to get started (with a deadline) is to actually start, then iterate to improve.
Sound advice!

You said figma is good but what about Wordpress at the beginning?
