    Can't go wrong with either of these razors. The Timeless has the price advantage and also will accept the slant head. But the Henson has a more luxurious feel and look to it and the color options are a nice bonus.

    I can’t believe I’m 15min in and still no shaving… I’ve learned nothing for that 15min 😂….
    Great video still 😁

    Great comparison video👌 I have a few ALU razors, I like their lightness and value for money for CNC quality. I don't have the ALSB45 yet but do have a AL13+ & a AL13++, I prefer the "++" for slightly better efficiency than the "+" with not much more aggression.👌😎👌

      i have both the al13 mild and medium to try them out comparatively and like the medium's aggression. How you considered trying out the AL13-aggressive?

    Thanks for this interesting review/comparison, Heiko.
    According to Henson's website the razor is anodized. "It is economically machined and coated with Type II anodize, which gives this razor the looks you want with the protection you need."

    Great video Heiko, as always! Can I suggest you try the 'WINNING' razor by Yates Precision. It is my favorite. If you like mild and efficient, this is the one.

    My Original Henson doesn’t have any +’s on it. It the mildest one . Very nice Video Heiko .

    I received the Al13-Medium and did my first shave today. It was surprisingly good-more aggressive and efficient than the mild AL13. It removed more hair on the first pass, required fewer passes overall and didn't need multiple strokes per area. There was no discomfort and it felt just as smooth as the AL13. The end result was noticeably better. I will continue using it as my daily driver to test it out further.
    I'm now also considering trying the AL13-Aggressive, which is only available at boutique stores and not directly on Henson's website, to see how it compares.
    Wondering if you had any insights on how the aggressive al13 compares with the mild/medium?

      The only one I have tried is the mild one. I have no experience with the aggressive AL13. Let me know how it goes.

    Great comparison Heiko. Henson was one of my first DE razors and is version 1. The sharp edges got me a few times and it would clog a lot. I understand these were fixed in version 2. I love my timeless aluminum razor and it gives a great comfortable shave. Have a great week. 👍

    Great comparison. Both are nice razors, though I much prefer the Timeless Slant over the straight bar version as it has a wider gap, less exposure, and it seems to just shave smoother.
    I think the Henson Mild is the best seller mostly because the Henson is the most advertised razor around, and new wet shavers usually consider themselves to have "sensitive skin" and go for the most mild version available. Just a hunch though.
    Love it, and keep up the good work Heiko! How's your stock of soaps looking like these days?

    • @Heiko-shaves

      I like the slant too. It is very nice, efficient and smooth.
      I see Henson ads everywhere. I am not surprised they sell a lot of those.
      I have enough soap for a couple of years 😉 but I always want to try out new things. It is a real problem.

    Great shave Heiko! What is your favorite metal for a razor?I put the Timeless matte steel 85mm barber pole handle on my Timeless aluminum slant head..great weight/balance with efficiency kicked up a notch. Looks fantastic too!

    • @Heiko-shaves
      @Heiko-shaves  2 месяца назад +1

      I think I am leaning towards stainless steel due to it's weight. I like the heavier razors. But I am not going to look down on any well performing razor.

    The complaint about the Henson dragging was from the first version. The second version, which you have in the video, is version 2. Version 2 fixed the drag problem. I have version 1 and version 2, the version 2 shaves much better. Do the blade tabs show on the Timeless?

    • @Heiko-shaves
      @Heiko-shaves  2 месяца назад +1

      If mine is the 2. Version, it still has a bit more drag than the Timeless. Not an issue though. Yes, the blade tabs are showing a little.
