      I just bought a X570 Taichi and it shipped with BIOS ver. P3.80. And I bought a Ryzen 7 5800x to go with it. Does anyone know if it will post without changing anything? The website says the boards BIOS has had support for the chip since P3.40. I'm pretty sure it will post with no problems but I'm only asking cause the guy who helped me when I bought it said I would have to update the BIOS.

      what asrocks puts into their bios is anyway too much for daily use and if you dont know what your doing you are lost in a second in this bios, like linksys vs cisco routers ya know that kind of thing =P

    @Giles Coolen - The SB fan is LOUD... but only because, at least on mine, the X570 Taichi after a clear CMOS sets it to maximum speed by default. HOWEVER...
    It wasn't shown in this video but you can configure the profile for the SB fan with the same Silent, Normal, Performance and Max settings as all the other fan headers. For whatever reason it is not listed in 'Fan-tastic Tuning' but it is last on the list under Fan Configuration at the bottom of the H/W Monitor tab, he just didn't scroll down all the way to it when he went in there at 8:45
    All I currently have connected to the SB is a couple of SATA devices and the built in USB/sound/Ethernet etc... it runs around 60-65C when set to SILENT and sitting under a PowerColor Red Devil Vega 64 2.5 slot cooler.
    Silent and Normal make it almost undetectable... Performance and Max are ridiculous.

    Thanks for this overview! I have just changed from a Intel system to a AMD system and bought the X570 Tachi Razer edition, my bios is pretty much identical as this. My motherboard supports 3x nvme drives but although they all show on the drives screen, no boot option is shown, I know they all work because they came from my Intel machine. taking them all out and using plug in SATA drives I can then select the boot option, but not with just 1, 2 or 3 nvme drives installed, it just bios loops on startup and pushing F11 says no boot drives available. Edit my system now is AMD Pro 4750G on Razer edition with 32gb from Gskill, corsair 1tb nvme

    • @nxk5116
      @nxk5116 4 года назад

      well for one i guess just a speculation, if you have good enough cooling solution on your cpu like good thermal and cooler, be that a beefy fan cooler or water cooler, it will automatically oc you cpu to the highest stable frequency, for example i have a stock cooler on 3600 and temperature is 50 degrees in bios (not good actually) and it goes to around 3.9GHz on auto, i can tune manually however i want, but with better cooling and lower temp, the overclocking on cpu will get higher

There's no Infinity Fabric Frequency and Dividers section in the OC Tweaker. Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the processor? We are using the latest 3.80 BIOS. I'm thinking it is a processor issue and for the time being we can't run the RAM at full speed.

    Just built a nice rig with this mobo. My issue starts within these settings and I dont know why or how to fix tho. I changed to xmp profile, saved profile, then saved and exit and it runs flawlessly. Then if the pc shuts down or goes into sleep, it resets my settings back to default without xmp profile and starts to boot loop until I shut it down, restart n get back into uefi and manually put xmp back on. I wish it would just properly save it and load it every time so I didn't have this recurring boot loop issue

      There is no onboard graphics/integrated graphics. Motherboards haven't had integrated graphics for a long time. They got integrated with the CPU. Very few AMD CPU's even have integrated graphics though, only their APU's and the Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G. So unless you have a "A series" APU or one of the few Ryzen G CPU's you do not have integrated graphics.

      This board uses T-Topology, which is a way the RAM interacts with the CPU. It generally runs better using 4 sticks of RAM. Most other 570 boards use daisy chain topology, which generally runs better with 2 sticks of RAM. I have bought G.Skill X 3200 CL 14 to run with my AMD R5 3600. This is one of the highest performing RAM with this CPU depending on what you're looking for. RAM with 3600 CL 16 or CL 17 will perform well with gaming and applications. Mine is centered for gaming.
