@a person she put them in to go to an event because she didn't want to wear a wig and have it get snatched and then she took the braids out afterwards.
Ok I did braids 20 yrs ago, got them done at a punk salon with cool colors added (purple and reds). They did an amazing job, not tight or anything... they were noisy and too heavy for my head! Plus I’d roll over on them while sleeping. I cut them out after a few days. I thought I was the only one to just cut them out myself!!!!
*When I post a comment 5 seconds after the video is uploaded and get 0 likes 1 month later, and someone else who is 2 weeks late to the video makes a comment and gets 70 likes*
Take it from a license hairstylist yes take it out if your scalp is red that's how you become bald she did them too tight for the texture of your hair.
@@Emma-dx8ys yes it does she has thin fine hair and it's also bleached you shouldn't braid fine bleached hair tight and she could also be allergic to the dye that they use to color the hair that's why when you color hair you should always do a patch test on that person to see if they will have a allergic reaction all hair color is not the same and that dye that's on the hair could be irritating her scalp that's why her scalp is turning red.
When you take braids out, don't wash it right away, at least I don't. I like to wash my hair the next day, to let my scalp breathe and heal and it won't Sting in the shower, also your hair stands are real fragile after having it in braids for a while. I coat my hair in coconut oil before washing, then condition & detangle, shampoo, and condition again. I find that this always gives me minimum shedding! 💓
I had a really bad headache and I took all kinds of medication but it didn’t help,so I turned on your video and once I heard your voice it immediately went away😊😘
Hi love, my scalp used to get itchy too Here's some advice: • The oil you are using may not be working for you, try using a natural product such as african shea butter, cocoa butter, or peppermint oil. •Try to do them yourself, that way it is looser or tell the braid to make it looser in a triangle pattern. ♡ •Get them as big as possible or use the rubberband method so the braiding hair is not rubbing up against your scalp. • Research the hair you buy!! You may be allergic to the fibers that make up the hair, especially if it synthetic. Sometimes the fibers are made of chloride instead of from yak or horse hair. • Give yourself a good oil and conditioning treatment every other night before you put the braids in. • Lastly, don't worry about taking them! Like you said it's your money sis ♡ Keep grinding. 😊
blue lover true but she’s given multiple explanations to why she doesn’t leave them in for long so people don’t need to keep commenting on it. saying “you should keep them in for longer, that’s a waste of money” isn’t gonna change anything anyways 💀💀
You may be allergic to the hair you should try washing the hair first before applying it to your hair because I have to do this to a client I have, because their is a chemical that they use to dye the hair and you may be allergic to it I know washing it with the same shampoo you use on your natural hair will help with getting rid of the residue of the chemical they use to dye the hair.
She's gotten that advice last time and even explained in this video that she soaked the hair in apple cider vinegar to remove the film and residue and then washed it before braiding it in. Maybe the tension just isn't good for her scalp. I'd really want to know why her head rejects protective styles so badly.
My scalp used to be so sensitive to braids. I always had bad flaking sand dandruff, my braids never last a week or two till I found a product called “Canviiy” i put it just before or after I get my braids done, it helps stop the itch and flakes now I carry my braids 4 weeks less itch no flakes
Kahli Crosby washing with shampoo is not the same as acv. It can prevent the irration she got better than acv since obviously the acv did not work or she could do both...
Lisette vocals 😍 & I love the fact that she’s so happy around her bf even when she was otp with him, she was just smiling so hard 😊 so happy for her! And she looked so pretty at the end ❤️
I've been there! BUT I pushed through JUST because I needed that hair growth. It got better after a week. It was painful though. Worth it in the end though.
Maybe you should try knotless box braids next time that way the synthetic hair isn’t touching your actual scalp. Check out ‘braids by Josette’ on RUclips she did a wonderful job on her clients hair.
she should try maybe learning how to do them herself because she could control the tightness and be careful towards the areas she knows are super sensitive, but she might not have the time to
I agree with you!! A few AA hair sites have advised women to be leery of protective styling in general and stay natural. They’re finding these styles cause baldness in us and then we waste so much damn coin on this stuff. Many women will ride that last dollar for a style they spent so much money on. So your advice is spot on!!!
@Luhhsetty Is there a protective hairstyle that you would recommend trying for someone who has a sensitive scalp like yours? Personally, I've been thinking of getting box braids but my hair isn't very thick, I have a bit of a sensitive scalp, and I can't go that long without washing either because my scalp starts to itch like crazy
Try crocheting box braids onto cornrows. You can get close to the same look but it isn't nearly as heavy. Also stylists usually charge less for crochet
You can try non itch hair and also soaking that in apple cider vinegar and getting knotless braids, that’s helped me a lot and I was able to keep them in a lot longer.
WOW YOUR NATURAL HAIR IS SO PRETTY!!! I literally felt good for you when you were scalp massaging lmao. I loved seeing the process of removing the braids and even how you applied your shampoo and conditioners for your curly hair. I have naturally flat straight hair & don't have any friends with this hair type, so it was really informative and eye opening to see the different challenges and types of care that you need for curls!! Mad respect girl!
I bet this is really liberating. Personally as a white girl I don’t have my hair in the same hairstyle for a long period of time so I don’t know the feeling of being able to take braids out.
You should wait until you shower or condition your hair to detangle your hair because you lose more hair when you comb it dry and twice . Plus you save more time . I learned this the hard way .
aguilari carilus she does it because when you get braids your hair gets matted. i’ve heard a lot of stories about people waiting until their hair is wet to detangle after braids and it gets so matted (because of the buildup) that they have to cut their hair off :(
i used to do it that way but it’s harder to get the build up out after your hair is wet. it’s way easier to wash and brush through if you’ve combed it through earlier
You should try knotless braids. They are SO light weight and those sleeping and scalp problems will be much less of an issue. I got knotless braids and knew halfway through that I would never got box braids again.
