    Looks like the Oris Aquis Relief

    Previous version had better AR and an adjustable (ratcheting) clasp - missed opportunity for Hamilton to improve it, this seems a step backward.

      Well said! I can’t believe the strange decisions that these bigger, well-established, watch companies make…. and seem to get away with. In most other genres (such as motor manufacturing) such steps would be roasted as major blunders.

    the VPH of 21600 is reduced for larger power reserve of 80 hours, not for accuracy (H-10 is actually an ETA -> 28 800 vph). Actually the higher the frequency, the higher is the precision ...and the higher is the price ;)

      A lange and sone use 21.6, so do Nomos. The Omega 88xx movement, arguably one of the best 3 hander movements in the world, meta certified, uses 25.6k, so there is no relation between accuracy and frequency

    I really want to buy a Hamilton (Specifically the Murph but this and the Navy have my attention as well) but I hear so many say they are hard to read because Hamilton has really bad AR coatings or none at all. I don't want to drop 1k+ on a watch that is a pain to read due to bad reflections on the sapphire. I love Hamilton's history and I find a few absolutely beautiful but without seeing one in person I worry about the glare I hear so much about.

    I like the old version way better. I like the bezel and dial layout much better and the older version was/is available in a 42mm

    Great styling, but I wish it was more compact. I have Omega Seamaster 300m for my bigger dive watch - I want everything else to be smaller.

      See im 6'5" 280 and love when larger watches hit the market but yeah, if your under 6'2" ish and skinny it could look pretty big.

    I don't get it why watches like the Longines Hydroconquests always get criticism for their crown/-guards, but watches with extremely oversized ones like this, never do.

    • @TexasBulldog74
      @TexasBulldog74 Год назад

      IMO and strictly my opinion, I see Longines as a "Luxury" watch where Hamilton is more of a "Tool/Workers" watch especially with their huge lineup of Field/Pilot watches. So for me seeing a large crown guard on a luxury watch just looks like an odd choice unlike in this case.

    Can someone tell me why diver/sport watch bezels have the micro dots only until 15 minutes? Almost each and every bezel follow the submariner design. Is the cost of adding those dots all the way until 60 mintes marker very expensive?
