I agree with Andrew on the Santos, I wanted a tank, then I saw the Dumont. I feel it's a great dress watch for specific moments and outfits. Also personally love the Zenith and GS. Great episode from you both!
Great segment! Like others have said, you don't need the music. The content has legs and is strong enough to stand on it's own. Thanks again for all you do here.
"If these other watches are manufactured, these are hewn." Possibly the most interesting take on Grand Seiko I've heard from anyone, and whom else but Andrew would offer it? Great convo again, and I'm definitely checking out the "uncut" version now.
I was so interested in the watches. I read some comments after and I had to go back and watch it again to hear what all the talk was all about. Thanks guys
This video is very on point for me. I’m wearing my Grand Seiko, we have a Japanese house guest, and I just attended the opening of an exhibition of glued together Imari pottery that Japanese craftsmen restored after they had been destroyed at the end of WWII in Austria by Russian soldiers. I really share Andrew’s appreciation for Japanese culture and aesthetics and that’s why I have multiple GS and Seiko watches, having carefully considered buying a wonderful JLC master control calendar.
Blimey how humble is Andrew?! But I get his point. I’m not sure it would suit me either, but on the occasion when I need to look smart and wear a dress watch the JLC kills it for me. Fun interview well done 😊
I love that we now know the face and sense of humour of the talking hands. He basically speaks and tells stories in real life as well as he does in the Watchfinder videos, but with little bits of humour and sarcasm sprinkled here and there.
For the Santos it would have to be the Galbée or Carrée, they are very elegant (or the Santos Dumont of course). The new ones are quite enormous, which will require your wrists to be the same.
I put a dark navy strap on mine, and it really tones down the formality of the watch. I'll throw the black back on if I ever happen to wear a black tux again in my life.
that silver dial JLC ultra thin moonphase is my favorite JLC. If I could pick one watch out of all you've shown in this video and the first video, it'd be that bad larry. my favorite JLC and favorite moophase in the market. The only thing that one-ups it is that same watch but in the pink gold.
This really is an excellent collection. We talk about the speedmaster so much but it really could be the best watch ever made, or at least the top 3. The Zenith is always strong as well.
@@WatchCrunchOfficial Facts, however, dictate that all of the ⌚ in the two episodes reflected good craftsmanship. I do not like the Chronomaster Sport, but Zenith mechanisms have unquestionable sophistication lacking in Rolex or other counterparts. Jaeger-LeCoultre ⌚ have mechanisms that define the industry literally, and Grand Seiko has some of the only novel contributions to the industry in the past few decades. How one perceives the aesthetics and feel is subjective, which is neither harm nor foul. Fundamentally, there is no one ⌚ that defines taste and reflects sophistication of the owner's style. If this were true, then the majority of Rolex owners would not be in Gucci slides and wearing Supreme T-Shirts trying to get season passes to Vegas pool parties. The same cannot be said when evaluating the technical proficiency of a mechanism, though. A good mechanism may not indicate a refined and intelligent owner, but it demonstrates intrigue beyond the heritage of a brand.
@@Greysprunkiyay This is, as you said, RUclips, where clicks are currency. It is often difficult to distill what is worthwhile from RUclips watch videos because subjective views precipitate ultimately. This is by no means a crime, but the less informed viewers who wish to gain knowledge from this media content may leave equally if not more naïve. Though NOT on this channel, there are self-proclaimed "watch experts" that produce RUclips content, who can generate enough momentum to polarize the watch market, such as designating Grand Seiko as pure trash and elevating Casio and Rolex to an ethereal level all while barking pure opinion preceded by a reference number for each model. This philosophical dilemma is not unique to the watch community. Collectors seek like-minded friends only to encounter zealous gatekeepers who may very well be amateurs. An individual identity, not unlike contemporary society in general, only favors the bold, but I can only recommend embracing fact; external opinion is irrelevant. What is frustrating, though, is how some RUclipsrs will jettison pertinent fact and precipitously substitute it with enough opinion to burn out their limbic system: yet another prevailing ailment of contemporary society.
Nice video guys. I really like the metal bezel on the Omega Speedmaster. Way more than the black one actually. And yes Max! Kill the Seiko😂 ( I’m Swiss so don’t be to hard on me for saying that)

Thank you again so much for having me! No thank you for putting me through your gauntlet of misery 😅
That was fun, great video guys! Review my collection next! 😂
"come check out my radiator" 😉

Except for weddings and funerals, I haven't worn a suit in 40 years. I still want the JLC. I think it would elevate my workman's overalls very nicely.
Can't go wrong 😂
I can confirm one does not need a suit to wear a Reverso. Just don’t have reptile skin strap on it
@@b_altmann I'm pretty sure I know a couple of people who would try a NATO strap on the Reverso.

Andrew is such a funny man, glad you had him on and thanks for fixing the audio this episode max!

I just love Andrew, his knowledge and humor together. 👌🏻

Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for amzwatch watch makers
I was so interested in the watches. I read some comments after and I had to go back and watch it again to hear what all the talk was all about. Thanks guys
- Andrew is my latest favorite watch enthusiast . Great guest.
This was a great video, good to see Andrew over the pond 🇬🇧👍🏾

What strap is the Grand Seiko on please? Have the same watch and it looks great
Delugs! Sorry many answers for previous people… which strap please?
I'm very jealous of your Omiwatari. It's one of my favorite watches and I may add it one day to my own collection
What would you recomend as a strap for thé sbga413? I love that strap in the 415 but can’t decide on the proper colour
Blimey how humble is Andrew?!
But I get his point. I’m not sure it would suit me either, but on the occasion when I need to look smart and wear a dress watch the JLC kills it for me.
Fun interview well done 😊
Thanks!
For me, it has to be the cherry blossom! Awesome segment!
Thanks 👍
Ohhh...that Zenith... Even the tonneau shape is amazing 😍 nice collection

Great point! Love those vintage pieces
The music is nice. I don’t understand why ppl dislike it. It’s the right vibe.
Think I just need to lower the volume a bit. Depends on the device you are listening on
These segments are great, please keep doing them.
Excellent video, thank you both 👍
Has to be the JLC over the GS - I think you can dress it up/down more than you think!
Pure class 👌

sooo where did you get the band for the GS

You guys are great. Keep crunching or whatever.. ❤❤❤
Ye, part 2 🤩
Emotional damage
😂
another great video! I like these interviews
The ironic thing is that no one would likely notice the JLC at all! Andrew has nothing to worry about with wearing it
Understated 👌
If you don't know whether to buy a SBGA 415 or 413, just get both of em, that's what I did and I am happy that I bought both of them
Job done

Excellent video with talented guys!
Had to switch off half way through. The background music was driving me Insane!
Yep, volume too high
Andew Morgan, what about the Rodania Geometer as the first sport chronoscope?
I will watch anything that has Andrew in it.
Nice straps on the JLC❤, where is it from?
What an amazing collection.
Is that the stock strap on the GS Winter? Gorgeous watch
Delugs 👍
Personally love that Santos 100 on black strap. Looks like something you could dress up or dress down.
Exactly 💯
What a fun video! Love it!
Really great episode Max! Makes me want that Winter even more. Love that strap!
I love that watch so much 🥰
@@WatchCrunchOfficialhey Max was wondering what strap you had there on the GS. Love it 🥰
All the collection pieces are great, but for me that Zenith & the JLC stand out because of their history....
Great strap on the 415, what is it?
Delugs 👍
When I hear ChronoMaster now, I can only think of an high end Citizen watch with a ludicrously precise quartz movement.
1:56 why all pictures from NASA is blurry? why why why, when photography was allready perfected?
Such a great video
Where is that strap on the Grand Seiko from?

„every ten years omega does a reissue. „
and every ten days there’s a special edition…
😂
The Broad Arrow rocks!
What straps do u use on these?
what's the reference number on the navitimer?
Zenith by far the most interesting out of the most boring watch collection posted in a while.
In terms of dress watch, Cartia could be a better choice as compared to the other two brands, as it has a blue ballon serials.
Hey Max, is it just me or the strap on the SBGA415 looks like a curved strap?
No it's regular delugs
for a second, i thought that arm with the tattoos was yours
The 3594.50 is my grail watch
It doesn't disappoint!
This video made me stop and take a moment to become emotional about my own special watches that mean something to me. Thanks!
Let it out buddy 😉

Andrew sounds way better here without that tv voiceover voice. Was wondering if he talked like that all the time.
