good review and nice video. But what about the build in MP3 player? To save battery life: turn off the WiFi, turn off the automatic display on and during the night turn off the Bluetooth. With that you get about 2 days more.

a 'Pebble 2' with GPS and a Runtastic compatibility would be perfect (it's stylish, slender, and has a in sunlight readable display)

gonna save it for one which supports more operating systems..... It supports all android, if u got ios ur not gonna get a SAMSUNG watch.... If u got Nokia ur first priority should be getting a new phone....
Think beyond the phone. Desktop support would be nice e.g. Garmins and the MS band.

This watch is designed to collect your activity data. What OS is supported is up to Samsung. It is nice to have desktop support because you can sit back and analysis all that data on a nice big screen, if you want. It is just another screen, other than your phone. Maybe you lost your phone, it is broken... no problem it is on your computer. Perhaps it is unnecessary but if you want wider OS (mobile and desktop) reach this is not the watch to get.
+wrathchicken no.... if u don't own a samsung, u will not bey it, got apple? get apple watch, sony? sony what ever they got and so on, some things are just made for some things, there is no other phone that uses s health, other than samsung, that is were all your things will be stored and handeld
I get 3 days out of my new one by lowering the brightness a couple numbers down makes it last longer.
Hehe, wearables is another reason I switch to S7 Edge, proud owner Gold Gear S2 Classic and Silver Huawei Watch, love it so much...
I might want to wait till Fit 2 price down a little bit :P

I have a Xiaomi Mi Band 2 for a year and I'm looking for either the Gear Smartwatches and this to buy to replace it.
i don't see the point that smart watch having issues with the battery and no being able to show info on sunlight is a drawback, however ill rather stay more confident on Motorola Smart Watches 360 2nd Gen Work Best and they do have a model Sport that makes all the same and its around same Price on Amazon. 150 to 180.
which one is better, gear fit 2 or moto 360 sport? For fitness tracking and some smartwatches functionalities

this video is WRONG minute 3:58 she said is only "water resistance" if you look on Samsung website it clearly said that this sport band is certified IP68 means is water proof

so ive read multiple ppl say that the band comes off. that its not secure

I disagree with you that it's not a smart watch. A fitness band is a type of smart watch. It tells the time (among other things) which makes it a smart watch.

Out of interest, how did YOU find the battery life ? Does it really die after 1 day ? I can't work out if to go for this, or a Polar M400, with less bells'n'whistles.

Do you have to keep your bluetooth and GPS features active on your mobile device throughout the day... Or while exercising?
My guess is only when you are using said features :)

Just wondering... have you got that heart rate checked? I have been recently diagnosed with sick sine syndrome and I am getting the same abnormal heart rate readings... 49 bpm is not a normal range.

And she didn't talked about how crappy the wristband locking mechanism is broken... unlike most smart watches, this gear fit 2 is easily unlocked with exercise...

hey there something seem to be wrong with gear fit 2. The Cal burnt count appears to be v high always. 2500 steps 1100 Cal! Also every morning before I wear it the Cal count is already 500+ without even wearing it. Is there something I have not set right or not understanding correctly. The step count also seems mis matched. I just used for two days. And not taken in water.
it's going off a base metabolic rate if your not using it so it can best estimate the calories you have burned during your sleep
