We all know how these shows work, but at least try to be a little subtle or just skip the whole final act of the episode and kick him out like they knew they would regardless of performance.
Toby should have went on to be a super star! He has a great tone, entertains and it factor. Many of the singers screamers are a dime a dozen that sound like everyone and anyone else. Only 5 of them actually have potential

Watched this series for the first time, as of date. I can not belief that Jill was in this group of those who were to be done away with. She is super talented, with a natural rock presence on stage. For Chis to be the one tossed out after his performance on this round; rigged.
Jill's first song she did wasn't very good. That's what landed her in the bottom. Zayira did the same song 2 nights in a row and was f'n terrible. Really bad. Chris' Tonic song was easily his best performance and he shouldn't have gone. However, neither him nor Zayira would have lasted much longer anyway. Does it really matter what round they get voted off? That said, this week did seem rigged. Only thing I can figure is they wanted a goofy female like Zayira on a little longer strictly for comedic and weirdness value.
Zayeda,really should have been cut before Chris. She didn’t do her homework, had to do a repeat and screamed to make up for style and understanding. It wasn’t really singing as much as it was a sing-song-ish talking. She stayed bc of her being female.
I can't believe they kept Zyra, or however you spell her name, after she went and did basically the same exact thing (that they didn't like); she is soooo NOT rock'n'roll! She is, however, great comic relief! ;)
Because english isnt zayras native language ita always going to sound off when she sings, its like that with most people that have a heavy accent, when she does her origin later on she sounds fine. I always enjoyed the arrangements of the songs she did especially this one
Look at Gilby’s discography, no one owns most of the albums he’s been on and the GNR albums, he did not play on those as he was a hired hand. He comment was asinine towards her.

15 yrs later I'm just as annoyed that he got the boot over the other 2. He wasn't gonna win for sure c'mon that performance earned him another week.
They kept her for her looks and comic relief. Got to keep the male viewers happy, got to consider their previous fan base.
