Woodworking, laser engraving AND disc golf!? You were my first woodworking channel subscription, and I feel like we were practically separated at birth! Love the content, Are. Keep it up!
@@AreBaloni I know, right!? I bought the XTool D1 Pro earlier this year, and absolutely love it! The possibilities with a laser cutter are endless, and XTool has by far the best desktop models around. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
@@awildschuetz1 Aboslutely, I didn't even think about buying one, but know that I have one I'm blown away. Never thought I would make this kind of money with it. Gonna post an update video after one month. Are you selling any laser engraving products?
@@AreBaloni No. I bought it to make fingerprint engraved keepsakes for family after my dad passed. I'm mostly just using it for gifts and personalizing cutting boards, but you're inspiring me to possibly start selling items. Jay Bates (one of my other favorite RUclips woodworkers) and his wife got the same laser engraver as you and have started a business with it. I bet they would like trading ideas and designs with you.
5:06 You are going the wrong direction with the router here, outside cuts should be counter-clockwise, inside cuts should be clockwise. Just a friendly note! 🙂
I’ve had an Xtool D1 for a little over a year. That’s the diode laser. I think the P2 is a CO2 laser. But good for you selling that much stuff so far! I’ve made a few things and sold them, but not much. But then again, I’ve put in little effort into trying to sell and have no real networking. I did get a person to design a file for me though that’s a modular stacking crate system that is actually really cool and I use the crates in my workshop for a while now and they are a great addition. I have them on my Etsy store but haven’t sold any yet 😭
You're right, it's a P2 :) I feel like I was very lucky that I found something that people here are interested in. But as I said, it is christmas times, and I'll need to try and find a way to make some sales after christmas as well. Have you considered selling items with personal engravings? Cutting boards, signs, serving trays, coasters? Maybe some sort of niche products? Seems to be doing pretty good on Etsy. All the best
You said you bought so cheap cutting boards for your early tests. As your sales have picked up is it still the case that you’re buying the board and the just using the x tool to personalize? Thanks for sharing and being so open.

awesome video... been contemplating between a laser and a CNC... keep them coming!
Man that's a tough one. I'm loving the laser, but would also love to add a CNC.
Hi , me again , I'll also be visiting your amazing country soon , well, your Fjords by ship .
What kind of oil are you using on these? :)
I'm using a finish called Rubinol. But the Osmo Top Oil can also be used:
