This is a really good piece of advice, and it makes a lot of sense, because, once it gets crowded and you keep planting on the sunstrate, then the new cuttings will get stunted because of the lack of light, but if you just plant them suspended between 2 stems, you fix that. Awesome advice sir!
I’ve been working on my bush. I tried some of your ideas and it’s really become a nice dense bush. I’ve even shown my friends how to grow and trim their bushes. Thanks
Hey after all the video browsing pon trimming stem plants. U just save my life. Easy to understand and straight to the point. New subscriber from Malaysia! Going to try your method thxzz
Can you go over the different varieties of rotala and your opinions on which variety is better for a bush? I cant find any videos on different varieties of rotala. I'm trying to find which variety I prefer more and need a second opinion. And also how to make them grow vertically instead of all over the place. Thanks!
Aquascape Gods very humble LOVE IT ❤ just got my Rotala flown in from the Netherlands because getting certain plants is near to impossible 😢 when you live in Aruba. ps can I order that shirt ?
do you plant rotala hra each stem individually or 4stem at once a bunch? and each, how far apart from another? because i have planted 4stem at once a bunch as instructed from somewhere, but the rotalas are struggling, lacking water flow, less exposed to light, black spots on leaf, and some algae, fuzz algae i think, but the grow is still there, but never reddish, my ludwigia mini super red is indeed super red, please help, thank you in advance
Question, after 6-8 months, I get green hair algae in my stems bush, because under the healthy top it’s too shady and no flow. Any solutions? I see that Ada replant the whole bush when it’s too dense?
I've had that issue once before, after a big trim, I used a toothbrush to get all the algae out and then it didn't really come back. I've never replanted the whole bush before and don't think that's totally necessary but when you do water changes, you should be siphoning inside the bush if you're not scared of sucking up any shrimp or anything!
@@uraninite8151 maybe more flow towards the bottom of the rotalas? I usually get hair algae when there's a fluctuation of co2 or not enough co2 in one area
I'm kinda new to this. Question: What becomes of the plants that were topped off? Will they continue to grow from there or just look like a headless plant?
@Dear Leader mine don't seem to be growing that fast. I think I cut them twice since I planted them about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I see that my water wisteria does grow new leaves at a joint (I don't know what it's actually called, it's where the roots come out of it, too), just below where I had cut it.
Hi mariela! We actually made an updated version of this video which we think will answer your question! If it doesn’t let us know and we will get back to you ASAP! New Video: ruclips.net/video/5CK6EpQvVXM/видео.html
Great video thanks. Working on mine now!! I have been using glue to attach them to my pond gravel i have in my tank to keep them in place as they seem to break loose once in a while. So far so good.

Greattt video!
Everyone likes a lush bush😅
I've recently removed ALL hardscape to focus on plants....so much more room!
What should I do if the stems are crawling instead of growing upright?
Reduce lighting

Great video! My stem plants seem to be growing roots mid way up the stem...why does this happen and where can I cut them so I can replant sucessfully?

So glad to hear that! If you need anything else we are here for you!
Is there any chance this plant can be grown without CO2 and keep its pink color?
Sorry just seeing this! Yes definitely, just won't grow as fast or bushy
He said "lush bush" lol
Oh yes he did! haha

My rotala blood red now is not doing great and it is very frustrating 😔
Mine is crawling
@@TheVoyagers. it’s bald now, no more leaves but it has roots and pink stem underneath
So the key is plant a lot of them all together.
Love from bd
bro put some shots of the actual plant. I've been skipping through the video and I only see you.
