    Looks like its a great ball to try out no matter what.... should be tested neck to neck with those premium balls on the market. Felt to me that Chris was born to be there with u guys .. quality guy ... with huge knowledge and eye to what could go better in a fitting. Great stuff yet again ;)

    I hope you guys know the influence you have in golf. You guys have the best videos and explain everything in a way anyone can understand. You have opened my eyes to a better way of thinking and over the past season I’ve made some significant changes in my game that has lowered my score significantly all because of your approach to fitting and the entire game. Ian, you are so technically proficient and Matt is just an amazing striker. The two of you paired up compliment each other. So thank you for the awesome videos and please don’t stop.

    I have been impatiently waiting for this video! So cool to have Chris Voshall himself there during the test to educate us and show how much belief Mizuno has in their balls. I was fortunate enough to have a friend that is a Mizuno rep send me 2 - 2 packs of each model. I’ve been testing them at the course for the past 2 weeks. I like both balls and could happily game either. As a natural high launch low spin player (driver CHS 100 mph/ 6i CHS 83 mph) I was interested to see what spin numbers Matt would generate with the balls. My friend said I would benefit most from the X ball. This video supports his contention.
    Now, when will the balls be available in yellow?

    Picked up two dozen of the RB tours, favorite ball ever, it’s taken spin off my longer clubs and I’m finding fairways. I’ve broke 85 four times in a row (first time ever) and my last round I shot 77. That was the first time I’ve broke 80. They couple great with my MP-60’s. When you sweet spot this combo, melts like butter.

    I know I have commented on this video before however I must again. The RB Tour and Tour X are easily my favorite golf balls. I started playing the B XS because of you guys awhile ago and made the absolute change to the RB. I have always like Mizunos fairway metals, wedges and bags. When I saw these and this video it was a necessity to try them, both. They perform crazy different. Feel on both is rewarding.
    If I'm playing a course where I know I'm hitting my driver often or it's a gusty day I will play the Tour. If I'm playing a course where I need a lot of scoring based in irons and wedges I play the Tour X.
    I have never played a ball that had such a drastic difference in flight. They are both Exactly what I want from a ball, depending on the day!
    Thank you so much guys!

    Great informative video (as usual). Picked up a dozen of each to test this Spring. Both feel great off the putter. After watching the video I'm leaning towards the RB Tour. Works great off the tee with a 3W and spins enough with mid and short irons to stop from anywhere. I don't have Matt's swing speed so the slightly lower compression is probably a better fit.

    Mizuno seems to be the company that just quietly goes about its business and doesn't worry about what everyone else is doing. They compete against themselves to make the best products they can, and I like them for it. Other manufacturers should follow their lead.

    • @doug1lau1
      @doug1lau1 5 лет назад +1

      They've pushed up they're marketing a lot more than a few years ago, but yeah, there's just a different tone to their approach. With but one exception, there's nothing in my bag that depended on marketing super selling "the best club(s) ever" to me. Mizuno has always had a great reputation along a number of sports, they make good products that really sing for a number of people, and it doesn't hurt that they make some of the most beautiful clubs by most people's tastes. I'd love for them to find a path to bringing costs down, but at the same time, when you make equipment that lasts and people fall in love with it, the little premium doesn't hurt in the end to have some keepers.

    I hit the RB tour yesterday and loved the free side feel & spin! I pitched a shot that came up short and hit the 1st cut then in one bounce the ball bit hard! I was very impressed thinking it would run out! Downside I hit a hard wedge trying to squeeze every yard out of it and hit it solid but noticed a small cut! The cover is crazy soft and loved the ball but durability it won’t hold up as well IMO!

    Matt/Ian, did you guys test any half swing/chip shots? Did the X having more spin continue on shorter shots? I would assume around the green the softer ball would spin more since you aren't really compressing the ball much from 30 yards?

  • @stlc3415
    @stlc3415 5 лет назад +4

    This appears to be a great option from the big brand ball companies and a quality ball at a reduced amount to get into the ball market. Maybe Mizuno should run a special price for 2 dozen balls to entice buyers to try the balls. When I run out of my TPx balls I will try this ball. Great job on the video...

    I returned to this video for a review. I am gaming JPX 921 irons and T22 wedges. I thought that I would try a softer ball and I bought the RB Tour and Tour X Balls. While they feel good and gave me good length, they are not durable. They scuff easily. For now I will stick with the Pro V1x.

    Great video guys. A quick question, how does GC4 or other launch monitors that work with photometrics in the first few feet of flight show a large difference? My thought would be dimple patterns would affect the entire flight more than the first few feet. Not sure if this makes sense or not so my apologies if it doesn’t.

    Great content and insight thank you for you channel.
    Just asking.
    I don't have a high swing speed about 90 mph with the driver but my spin numbers are high and I get a lot of stalling and drop out with the ball with the driver.(I have a 9 Deg driver and my launch angle is 13-14 Deg)
    I know it's a combination of things but which ball? STD or X to try to help with this I'm currently using a pro v1)

    Step aside Titleist. Mizuno and Bridgestone are pressing hard to deliver a comparable, if not better, golf ball at a cheaper price point. It would be interesting to see how the 3 piece Mizuno RB 566V performs against other 3piece balls
