This is a great method using the soaked tissue. one thing to be aware of, bleach doesn’t kill mould, it simply stains it white. So it looks like it’s gone but it’s still there so the spores are still harmful. I only learnt this recently after using this bleach method most my life. The best thing to use is white vinegar as the acid in it actually kills the bleach. Just make sure to wipe off with wet cloth/tissue gently and throw away so the dangerous mould spores doesn’t dry and float around in the air. You can also dilute some tea tree oil and spray that around the wall afterwards and this can help prevent the mould coming back.

Chlorine kills mold for sure. It's highly alkaline (ph ~13) and will start killing spores on direct contact.

Omg this hack definitely works!! I had a few mold stains built up for months & if u leave the paper towels drenched in bleach for exactly 3HOURS this will remove off all mold ! Thank u for the video ☺️🥳

I actually used this method a week ago and the results were amazing and in my case took less than 3 hours. I had not seen your video before I cleaned my shower. I cut strips of paper towel and saturated it with a spray bottle of bleach, I like your method better. I can definitely confirm this method worked well. I have a few places where there is hard water scum so I am going to attempt this method with lime away and see if it works well for that too.

Omg I cannot believe it would work but it didd. Thank you so much i scrubbed it so hard with soap to no avail and this worked within 2 hours!
PenglingWhisperer is correct. Also, you should never wipe mold without gloves. In fact don't even do that, you can get ringworm if the gloves get a small rip. You can spray white vinegar directly. Just don't use too much because vinegar is strong and not sure what damage it can do to pipes and such. I spray lightly and its gone, then I just use a scrub brush or a small broom to finish it off with some Dawn and baking soda to get any leftovers.

I’m here to tell whoever is wondering if this actually works that..... IT DOES WORK! It was already starting to work after just 10 minutes of sitting on the mold!!! I am in shock! I was getting ready to tear up the caulk and everything!
I def recommend ventilating the area as she suggested because I was feeling lightheaded after about 10 mins of sitting there applying this bleach 😂😂

@@Stircrazyy10 really?? This is what i do everytime now for my bathtub. It works really good and doesn’t even take long, maybe like an hour or so. Maybe it’s just time for new caulking for your tub!
@@Imlilmizzswagger I left it on for two days. When the paper towel dried I put more bleach on it but after two days I took it off and the mold was still there :( I didn't want to have to do the caulking. I wonder if it's the bleach you used. Might be stronger than mine?

I called the police about 2 years ago, bc someone had broken into my house. They didn't take anything, but they did remove the horrible mold around our bathtub. Now I know who that Masked Mold Defender was!!!! TY :D

I got mold growing from the bottom of the bathtub where the water drains into, will this method work?
may the bleach be only discoloring the pink and not really removing it?

Me too. This method works for me for a couple of weeks and then the mold comes back. I’ve done this about ten times. Any suggestions??? I even ripped out the old caulk and still comes back.

I have to agree, it looks completely new to me.
You can pause, screenshot and zoom in to see the details of the caulk. I do not know how to recaulk, if I do, it won't be free anymore for me to do. Lol. Thanks for watching.
Wow... Talk about skeptic. THIS REALLY DOES WORK! I was about to rip out the caulk in my shower this weekend until I came across this video. Decided to give this method a shot first and HOLY CRAP. This saved me hours of work!!!

How do you clean the side walls since gravity will soon cause the soaked paper towels to fall off before 3 hours are up?
Use painters tape
Will painters tape hold the wet bleach paper towels in place?
Put all the paper in then use something that presses on to it like a tarp or mesh anything and tape it to the wall that's dry just make sure u don't use any tape that rips the drywall. You're going to be there all day if you tape them one by one and most the time the tape won't stick
Can you that in between the wall grout too? Will the paper towel stick?
I suggest you use a thinner piece of paper towel if putting on the wall so it won't fall and press it well on the wall grout.

When doing mold removal, wear a proper respirator. Personally, I'd consider this biohazard situation, and go in, with no less than a full hazmat suit. While your methodology works, I prefer to do a bit different. Stay safe though, and protect yourself when working in hazardous environments. - Immaculate Cleaning

This didn't work for me at all! After I placed it on it looked like I couldn't see any mold so I was so happy that I was finally going to get it clean. I left it for over 24 hours, maybe even two days and when I removed the paper towel the mold was still all there. This did not work and I'm really disappointed because I really wanted an easy fix so that I don't have to redo the caulking 😞
