I can't believe how well this works. I did it a few hours ago in the mold is 100% gone. I can actually reuse paper towel strips on other parts. Thank you!
I tried this today after several failed attempts at scrubbing and using magic erasers. Left the paper towels on for 3 hours to be sure. Everything came off clean. Thank you so much!
You didn't leave it on long enough, I did this today, sprayed it two more times and after 10 hours, from black to ultra white, no scrub and I am now a hero at home, thank You very much👍🍀
TBH, I almost cried tears of joy. I thought I was going to have to live with that nasty moldiness for the rest of my days. But no! This works!!! Thank you! Unbelievable.
I'm putting my house on the market next week and had planned to spend my weekend scraping out and re-caulking my bathtub because no amount of scrubbing made a dent. It was a solid line of black, MUCH worse than yours, and it only took an hour and it's all perfectly white now. I wish I had taken before & after photos, it's such a drastic change. THANK YOU for saving me so much time and effort.
My wife showed me the video just yesterday and I tried it and boy did it worked 😲. I never believe in these life hacks but amazing, everyone needs to try this and I was about to rip the grout out and put some new one in. Wow. Unbelievable. I'm going to do the other restroom and I'll put before and after pics. Thank you so much 😊🙌
I was cleaning my tub today and saw those little mold spots along the caulking. I tried getting it off and nothing was working. Then I saw your video and tried it and now my caulking looks so clean. Thank you for this video!!!
Thank you for sharing this- I have a very small bathroom with only a very small window for ventilation - make sure you have adequate ventilation, open whatever windows or vents you can and put an electric fan in there to air it out because trust me bleach fumes are overwhelming!
Listennnnn, I went to the store & bought a wired brush, a scraper tool, & some wired pad thingy that attaches to a drill in means of getting rid of the black grime, mold, & mildew around my shower faucet, handle, & drainer. I also bought some mildew/mold cleaner & mean green. Needless to say when I got home I told myself let's just try this hack to see before I open all this crap up. A few hours later & maaannnn, ALL of it is gone. All around my faucet & other areas I only see the actually caulking, like clear caulking, I'm sooo excited & stoked 😁😁😁😁 Thank 👏🏽 you 👏🏽 😁😁😁😁
Yes I definitely plan to make more videos! I’ve had to take a temporary break since we just moved and have been working on remodeling our house. But I hope to get back into the swing of things soon even if I can’t upload every week :)
Well said!!! Every video I have searched is so wordy and they lose me in translation. These days - Im like a kiwi, simple words and to the point. 😂 cant wait to show my tenant so she can leave me alone lol
Me too - now for future, safety first, avoid mixing chemicals unless you research what’s in each product. For example, ammonia and bleach creates an awful gas - uh-oh! Great vid anyway :)
Worked like a charm, thank you! I'm in the UK and used thick bleach slightly diluted - it took most of the day (perhaps I diluted it too much) but got everything off - hooray!
I watched two youtube videos, one with Clorox bleach and one with the Clorox gel and thanks to your video I know which one I'll be buying tomorrow. Many thanks !!
Thank you! Just the video I wanted to get rid of black mould in my shower.. I was going to the extent of using a knife to remove grout and re-do it. This is a very good hack and thank you again for sharing! 🙏🏽
I literally just did this and the mold is gone, I used a brush and it came right off. Thanks for the tip. I wish I could post before and after pictures.
I just tried this and it worked wonders!!!!!! Only left it on for 2.5 hours and my gosh what a difference!!! Thank you the only con is that my washroom smells all bleachy now🤢🤮 but really good hack!!!
I was surprised how well this worked. I saw another video where baking soda was mixed with bleach to make a paste, then applied to the grout for same results. Hope it works as good as this.
I'm about to. We have an old tub and I have had no luck getting the black stuff out of the grout. Cannot take a relaxing bath looking at that nastiness.
Well, Christy Lyn, this is MY story. I had a black strip about 4 inches long of this hideous mold. I tried EVERYTHING including bleach and NOTHING worked! I KNEW one day I was going to have to remove the caulking to get rid of it. Then my neighbor put cat litter down the drain and it came up my drain!!! I unplugged it and knew the bath/shower was going to need disinfection before I ever got back into it. But when I removed the shower curtains, with the added light I could see the black mold all the way around the tub and partway up the wall!!! I looked on RUclips as normal to see if there were any new ideas and saw the toilet bowl cleaner trick. I was going for it then I saw your idea and figured that can't work, I've tried bleach before. BUT NEVER THIS way! So I tried it. After almost two hours I peeked to see the long-term one that was there for years under every kind of chemical. and it was still there. It was near bedtime so I decided to just leave it on overnight. First thing in the morning I checked. The more I uncovered the more I was dumbfounded! IT WORKED 100%!!! ALL THE MOLD WAS GONE!!!!! You're a jewel, Christy Lyn!!! I'm in a place where this will be used hundreds of times!!! This is going to change my whole community's way of life!!! (I live in a complex of hundreds with the same problem)!!! As Gomer Pyle would say; "Shazam!"! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Christy Lyn!!!
What an incredible transformation! Thank you very much for taking the time to come back and share your positive experience! I am so glad you decided to leave it on overnight!! Shazam indeed 😉
@@SimpleMomming Your mold hack still keeps me talking about you pretty regularly. In fact today I was explaining the whole thing to my sister who is a professional house cleaner. She was also amazed and will try it the very next time she runs into another mold problem which she says is very regular!!! Do you have any idea just how many lives you have seriously helped?!!! Shazam!!!
Just an FYI, mixing bleach and ammonia creates a gas that will kill you. Use this paper towel and bleach method, but be careful of what you might want to add to it. Does anybody even sell or use ammonia anymore? If not, this would be the reason why.
Thank you so much for this video! I had tried everything and nothing worked until this!! You are awesome and I love your video on how to clean the jet tub too :)
Thank you so much for such a helpful video Christy! I was about to buy the toilet bowl cleaner with bleach as per another youtube video, however when I saw your suggestion on just using straight bleach, I tried that and it worked perfectly after letting it sit overnight with the paper towel trick! 😊
I want to try using a long strip of cloth next time for the floor grout. I just tried your method it worked the best! Thanks so much for uploading. 😃 While I was throwing away the tissues, I realized I wished I could REUSE them for grout in the kitchen tiles... so maybe I'll try long strips of cloth from an old shirt...
I am trying this RIGHT NOW! I will update my comment with the results in about 3 hours. :) Addendum: I left it on for 16 hours and the silicone sealant is as clean as new. ^__^

Thanks for the video. My wife was just asking for a professional cleaner to come and do the mold on the bottom of the shower (I really didn't think it was that bad). I'm giving this a shot first. I love home remedies or at least life hacks with the things that we have around the house. I hope this works (fingers crossed).

Thank you for sharing this my mum will yell at me if this doesn't work so I'll update u hehehehehe 🤞this works Omfg thank you sosososo much I have been looking for something that works for years and let me tell you guys this does actually work thank you
Didn't work for me at all for either bathtub grout or caulk. I resorted to removing the caulk, entirely, bleaching the exposed areas, leaving it for an hour, then rinsed it off, let it dry for two hours, then applied new caulk. Unfortunately, that tends to last only 3-5 years before the mold re-asserts itself. As for the caulk, I used a Dremel granite bit to remove whatever I couldn't do with a toothbrush (or soft wire brush or well-used soap pad (to avoid scratching ceramic tile)), then rinsed the area, then applied new grout, and let it dry per the instructions. The new grout lasts a long time.
Yes, we still walk on it months later (we haven’t laid down our flooring quite yet!) without any issues. When it first dries it may get some lines in it but they don’t ever turn into full cracks or chip or anything like that. We haven’t had any problems with it at all. Hope that helps! :)
@@SimpleMomming Thank you , but I must have mixed it to thin because it started cracking about 2 days after the pore. I had used it to level my living-room floor and I spent $1,440.00 on 46 bags. The leveler went over wood flooring nice and level but I didn't use primer over the wood. What can I do now?.
Oh no! The only thing I can think of is that it probably cracked because you didn’t use primer. The primer is meant to keep the wood from soaking up all the liquid and drying out the leveler. I unfortunately don’t have experience dealing with the exact problem you’re having, but I hope it works out better with some primer. Just be sure to follow the instructions on the bag exactly and you should be just fine.
@@SimpleMomming Thanks for info I cut out the bad area and mixed some more and made sure I didn't over thin it. I also used the primer that is recommended. I can't believe how well this works. I did it a few hours ago in the mold is 100% gone. I can actually reuse paper towel strips on other parts.

It's temporary. The mold spores run away from the bleach, retreating into the wall. Then will return...even worse. Life experience.
