It's sad to note all this is gone! Railways should have retained this all lines. Should have runned the same as heritage special with modified interior and better catering and promted tourism along with state tourism department. Sadly we will be missing these trains .All new Trains have no charm.
Such a priceless treasure lost forever.a RAILFANS dream to travel in such a beautiful terrain dotted with river's and picturesque views,so calm and soothing that can't be described but felt...alas remains only in memories and videos as this one.... DHR or the darjeeling Himalayan railways or any other philanthropic organization could have come forward to keep it for generations to come

Railway deptt.should preserve some narrow guage trains for a rourist attraction like recently mailani dudhva nanpara behraich metetguage train so that our future generation may see the past of these menorable trains and enjoy the history of these train services
