A million times I saw this train departing from Akola, but never thought that journey would be so spectacular. Now broadguge line would bypass forest due to environment concerns. (Environment is more important than views.)
It does hurt, but it is better to not bring mainstream trains into the pristine forest. We need to leave forests alone. There is also the possible danger of some wild animal straying into the tracks and disrupting the services. So it's better we leave the environment alone, and let the wildlife live it's life.
I had travelled once in this train, it was my one of the best train experience. I had my journey from Akola to Omkareshwar..The amazing view of these route makes you feel good..
Great route --- We used to travel this route when were small kids --- Ajmer Kacheguda passenger --- used to take almost 3 days. The express was introduced later after we moved back to AP. Brought back childhood memories .. Thanks for sharing.
I used see the meenakshi express running from Madurai to Jaipur since 1978at age 10!. Later in 2006 I travelled purna to Jaipur. In 2008 Jaipur to Khandawa. Due to Gauge conversion, its journey was limited from akola to mhow. Now I learned that the ghat section being converted too! Salute to those who constructed this route in 1951!
@@pankajpathak222 Yeah, it apparently ran from Secunderabad to Jaipur in the 90s, but when gauge conversion began on the marathwada section and the Secunderabad-Purna section was converted to broad gauge, the express only ran from Jaipur to Purna, with a link train completing the rest of the journey till SC.
very nice journey, I also been traveling this journey since 1996 from Purna to Jaipur minakshi express my destination was Ajmer. very nice Thanks. Purani yadey Taza ho gai.
Good and Excellent journey from Akola (Maharashtra) to Mhow MG (Madhaya Pradesh). it`s full of greenery, side seeing and river journey. Now this meter guage has been stop due to the making of broad gauge. it`s remind`s me of my Olden and Golden journey.
Currently visited Omkareshwar. Sad to see Omkareshwar road rly station in a delapidated state only single service per day. Beautiful rail section saw via Bus 🙂🙂 section should have closed after new route is finalised just people are suffering
I trevelled on this route from Ratlam to सिकंदराबाद by Minakshi एक्स्प्रेस in 1991, when total route from Jaipur to kachiguda and upto Tirupati was मीटर gauge, on that time on Passenger train running between Ajmer to Kachiguda by steam locomotive is india's longest route Passenger train, also one past Passenger train running from Khadwa to Delhi via Ratlam, Ajmer, Jaipur, रेवाड़ी full rout मीटर gauge
super se bhi upar " uncut" journey. came to know that i am alone meter gauge train lover. keep uploading such awesome videos. this is my request to all meter gauge narrow gauge train lovers. we are called mad peole by our taste. but let it be. hum tho majje karte hai na !!!
great coverage bro i tried many times do journey from akola to mhow but not possible at that time, but present i am done journey between omkareshwar to mhow only i missed that spiral now in gauge conversion
Vidarbh ko. Jodne ka kam krti thi mp ko yeh train kafi emotions h is se kafi logo ko idar se udar phuchati thi is train k jane bad. Ab long route se jana pdta vidarbh vo bhi bar bar badalna pdhti train
Thank you very much for this awesome upload. Very nice scenery. I felt bad when I knew that this train is closed, otherwise I must have travelled by it once.
You give us 40 minutes of happiness. What a beautiful trip on this exceptional route! The colors are real works of art and especially there is life in this beautiful video. We would like to make this trip in these Jessop cars with metric track. The train is heavy, the engine of the diesel locomotive head YDM 4 "gives voice". Animated train stations, viaducts, tunnels, a mountain landscape: the most beautiful video on this subject. A big thank-you ! This railroad is a heritage: it must be kept as it is.
Very nice video bro good coverage at that time awesome I saw this rail route few days ago now the tracks are destroyed and bridges also broken this train is in history now 🔥🔥💯💯❣️
Excellent journey video. Kudos to YMD4 locos. First time see the complete journey from Akola to Mhow. Can we see the video of train journey on MG line from Jaipur to Purna????
Went to Omkareshwar 2 times, Also went to Mhow Once .... Unique experience. Btw, I am from Ugwe the first station after Akola, I use to watch the levelled crossing daily while going to school in the morning. Bachpann ki yaadein.....best😢😢
17:38 - Great speed!!! IT just amazes me how our country has built the railways. Whether they see profit or not, the efforts taken to build railway lines across mountains and remote areas is just too amazing!
i wish they never stopped such a beautiful track. they could have made a greenfield bg alignment and left this meter gauge for enthusiasts and heritage railway networks
That was impressive! A fine journey indeed! This shows that a narrow gauge can run about as good as any class 1 standard or broad gauge railroad. Would like to see more of these!
+Inonone Hello. Yes, I understood this as Meter Gauge. I was basing my comment on the knowledge that around the world that there is such thing as a "Standard Gauge" for railroads, which is 1435 mm (1.435m), or 56.5 inches in the US and UK and other places. Any size of track which is less than that is usually referred to as "Narrow Gauge" because it is narrower than the standard. There is also a "Broad Gauge" which is wider yet than Standard Gauge. There used to be one in the Northern UK and the railroad system in India uses a track width of 1600 mm (Someone correct me in the comments if I am wrong, please. Thank you.). This is broader than the standard. So in general, when anyone makes a comment about a narrow gauge, they are simply comparing sizes to the standard gauge. Other sizes of narrow gauge that are, or were commonly seen around the world were the "Cape Gauge" 1066 mm, meter gauge (1000 mm), 914 or 915 mm, 762 mm, 750mm, 610 mm and a 500 mm down in South America along the southern most part. There are many, many more. However, thank you for the information. I hope to see more videos of the MG in India before they go away! I like how they fit into the communities they serve. They seem more of a personal touch to those who ride them than the big ones do. Once again, thanks! :)
+John Crawford : Glad to know that you liked video of Akola-Mhow MG line. This is my most favourite rail line. I appeal you should watch the video of " MG Ride on Akola Ratlam passenger by Harris Kiran". & " Reaching Khandwa, Akola- Ratlam MG pass. by Mani Vijay". Thanks. - Rajanish Joshi
there is a heritage run from patal pani to kalakund, the only remaining meter gauge section. I m going to experience my first meter guage in 11 days. It runs every Sunday.. Guys.. please go and book tickets for that train.. if there is less sales, they might stop that as well
Rail authorities hurriedly taken decision to stop Mhow - Akola track for broadgauge conversion and now till date years through years passed away but today this project is still in the depths of mismanagement, delays, poor planning also the representatives of the respective area in sleep mode
Miss these meter gauge trains. Always hoped that Indian Railways convert such lines as heritage lines.. just a wish. What was the average speed of this train. What was the probable speed at 17:55.
I Love You I MetereGuage Train...I miss you......Actually for what broad guage trains? Narrow Guage & MetereGuage trains will promote tourism..........
Thanks for sharing this amazing video! Sheer bliss for 10 mins from 25:25 onwards. Sadly the hills near Choral (22:18)...south & to the east of it (21:30 ?) seem to have been completely decimated going by the latest Google Maps imagery. Hope the same fate is not slated for Patalpani :(
