1982 is why Packers vs Lions is longest uninterrupted rivalry in NFL history. Both Bears and Packers games were canceled because of players strike that year.
Your reasoning is weak and incorrect. The Bears and Packers have been playing each other since 1921. The Packers and Lions franchise have been facing each other since 1930. And from 1930-1933, they weren't the Detroit Lions but the Portsmouth Spartans out of Portsmouth, Ohio. It wasn't until the 1934 season when the Packers faced the Detroit Lions.
@@joespitler3929How many teams didn't even win one Super Bowl? Oh by the way, The Bears have won nine NFL Championships, including one Super Bowl, and hold the NFL record for the most enshrinees in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the most retired jersey numbers. The Bears have also recorded the second-most victories of any NFL franchise, only behind the Green Bay Packers. NFL championships are not lesser than Super Bowl championships and they all count the same. No NFL commissioner has ever come out say that all NFL championship before 1967 are diminished in value and don't count or have meaning. The Super Bowl is NFL championship renamed and that's all it is.
The Bears won 5 straight NFC Central division titles from 1984-1988 and another in 1990. Yes, they won the 1 Super Bowl in 1985 and won 6 postseason games from 1984 season through 1991. How is that falling like a comet?
What a great team. Jimbo always my favorite, going back to BYU...
Steve Young
@@TOCC50 Steve Young?? Young RODE the BENCH while Jimbo played...
You know it wasn't a good year when the highlight film is touted as a preview of the next year.
1982 would be the first seeds of what would be to come of the Chicago Bears in 1985

Do you happen to have the 1982 season highlights for the Detroit Lions?
Do you want that Lawrence Taylor Thanksgiving game included in the Lions' highlights?
@@anthonybrooks5040 Sure! That would be fantastic! Thank you so much!
Green Bay was like:
"Keep me outta your highlights"
Why the video quality like 1952 ahahah
The Bears rose and fell like a comet.
It is mind boggling that they only won 1 Superbowl.
