I am wondering is there a way to talk to the Mexican embassy here in the US and explain the situation. This is bad publicity for them so maybe the embassy could deal with the government agency holding your van and facilitate recovery and payment for whatever fees need to be paid. Give it a shot. As for what RUclips pays us some people are Delulu about what we actually make. Even my videos that seem like i’m facing some sort of adversity get way more views than the ones that are just normal lifestyle/decor videos. That’s not our fault. And there is nothing wrong with having your community help out if they can. These channels and videos are expensive to make and at this point we are paying to bring these webisodes to people. It’s time consuming and a labor of love. 💕 love you guys 😊

First, please accept my apology for chiming in on this. predicament that you are in. If you owe payments on that van technically it's not your van, It is the property of the lien holder. If you look at it that way. Then it would behoove you to call them . The lender wants their merchandise or the balance of the loan. I would also call the insurance company and report the car stolen, That is essentially what the police did. They stole your vehicle.. The insurance company is liable for replacing your stolen vehicle . I would not let them take my van and still have to pay for. You pay insurance premiums for your van . Perhaps involving these two entities into the situation would make the Police think before doing this to anyone else. I wish I knew how to let you contact me . Even if it's to say mind your business. I'm praying for your victorious outcome!!

I told them the same thing you said about two weeks ago (except for the insurance part because that's not accurate information), but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. US insurance does not cover vehicles once it's in another country, however, some policies cover the drivers when driving in other countries, such as renting a car. Once they notify the insurance company, they will immediately cancel their policy because they are in violation of the terms of the contract, and what they should have done was purchase auto insurance in Mexico. I also recommended they contact a US attorney, which they probably have not done.
They don't realize by not informing the lienholder and insurer, they are making things worse and making themselves look bad because they are continually violating the terms of both contracts; they have had plenty of time to contact both parties. Sometimes you have to pay whatever the cost is for violating laws, especially in another country. They are attempting to continue to do it their way. Honesty is sometimes the key. The Mexican authorities know they don't own the vehicle because to bring the vehicle into their country legally, they would have needed to provide the title, which they do not and can't provide until they pay the vehicle off, or, they would have had to "show the credit contract and notarized letter of permission from the finance company giving permission for the car to be driven to Mexico," which they also did not do.
If they contact the lienholder they would contact the Mexican authorities to inform them that they are the lien holder and Mexico may return the van to them or the owners. Mexico is probably going to charge the owners all the fees for storage, violations, fines, etc., so the sooner they contact the lienholder the better. I wish them the best and hope they get their van back but it's probably going to require more than just sitting waiting on a Mexican attorney.

I'm not even an attorney, and I know this is not true, 'common sense' the van was not stolen, simply US laws vs Mexico corrupted laws...tourists that encounter these situations just gives up because our government doesn't waste time on small issues involving corrupt governments, that why Mexico gets away with doing this to tourists 🥴

I'm so sorry this is happening to you both. It's truly heartbreaking, and I can only imagine what you're going through. I'm praying specifically for your situation. As a fellow RUclipsr, I know that people often look at our channels and create their own narratives, thinking they know us and judging us based on that. I also see the MOST responses when something negative us happening in life. How toxic is the internet, right?!? Please don't let this get you down (as I know you won't). It happens to the best of us. The ones who can hold their heads up high through all the negative remarks are the strongest and can make the most impact on the world. I love you both and will continue to pray for you, my friends.

If anything you have brought a lot of notability to what happens in Mexico. Something has to be done because this happens to a lot of people. Not sure what can be done because that country pretty much runs on corruption since forever but hopefully more people will see your story and something bigger and better comes from this. Life happens. You learn to continue. At 24 lost my 1st pregnancy at 32 weeks gestation. My 2nd child was diagnosed high functioning autistic, with many education and speech challenges. We sadly found him drown at 30 in bath tube post seizure. Over 40 ish years marriage we stressed about spouse job being sold and job loss. I went to nursing school when my son was toddler age 2 and no family babysitters. So stressful. .I’m grateful for my only surviving daughter. Life gives you shit. You decide to remember and embrace the life well spent or wait in the sorrow. If it doesn’t work out.The van is only a possession. It can be replaced. A life lost is a lifetime of lost futures. Enjoy each other. Embrace your memories. Fight for van but do not honor Mexico with your tourist money. Too many missing people and murders

Ignore the trolls and there's no need to explain and show your YT income to prove anything to them. Neither is there a need to spend your time addressing them. There are more people here for you and wishing the best for you than the few naysayers. I still believe you will get the van back. I enjoyed your travel ventures around the world. Bless you both. I have learned a HUGE lesson traveling out of our GREAT COUNTRY. My situation was not a vehicle and not in Mexico but in Peru. Me and my hubby traveled to Peru with my daughter and her wife 8/23. We had a wonderful time. 6 hours prior to departure we dined at a wonderful restaurant. Upon leaving my husband missed a step and fell and broke his hip. The first hospital claimed they could not verify our insurance and demanded $30,000 to perform the surgery. We we finally able to purchase X-ray and pain medication for $1500 and get an ambulance ride to a different facility. The Doctor agreed to accept a credit card and charged $7,000. The facility charged $6,000 on a credit card. THE FACILITY WAS SOMETHING OUT OF A HORROR MOVIE. The lessons learned 1)ALWAYS PURCHASE AN EMERGENCY MEDICAL INSURANCE for the country you’re traveling to. So if we travel out of the country by vehicle we purchase car and medical insurance for that specific country and purpose. We are back in the USA now and he has recovered. Unfortunately Medicare/medicaid do not cover out of the country. We are responsible for those bills.

I was curious and hoping it was just a temporary thing and you actually already had the van back. But when I saw the end and that you were still in limbo I subscribed because I was curious to see if you’d get it back…but I don’t like subscribing to ppl for only one video, so I started watching your older videos and I love your vibe so much!!! @@TenajTino I bought my 2o15 ProMaster in Nov2o20 and have done minimal building. I Divorced Jan2o23 (after 29yrs), was still working until Sep2o23 and then retired from the workforce then moved from CA to MD early part of this year; 2o24.
I've done my hardwood flooring last summer and some small desk/cabinetry work. I bought everything for the build-out (heater, roof fan, solar panesl; batteries etc) but still have to put the work into action.
Had some setbacks as a result of life transitions and my timeline for plans got moved down the line. I also just bought the EcoFlow Wave2 air conditioner coupla weeks ago.
I'll be traveling beginning in Jun2o24 so I'll make my way back to Cali sometime in late July, hitting various states along the way. Hopefully you guys will have resolve by then. Keep your heads up. Stay optimistic, Be SAFE and Thank you for sharing. 😎

I agree with what yall are doing, you have to wait for the call..... until then, do NOT give up hope. That is your home, that is what you built to be able to travel the world........ yes, think about a future without the van, but at the same time, remember that you are doing all that you can.... if the Van comes back, then awesome. But if it doesn't..... then little by little, you can rebuild. I will hold on to hope for you guys, I will hold on to the idea that the Van will be back in your hands..... With respect to your membership, I understood that you were releasing the full conversations with folks from Mexico, recorded conversations, etc. basically to give people the full story of what is going on. And for me personally, I won't pay or subscribe for that type of stuff...... if you share what is going on publicly, then why charge for the full story after you gain the attention needed for the effort? Especially because others may be suffering the same circumstance as you..... I just can't "buy" or "charge" people for information that may help others. That is what is shady. Not that you are offering "behind the scenes".... *it is that you said that you will only release these Mexico related conversations for pay.* Behind the scenes to me is sharing what you really go through, what costs are associated with being a youtuber and traveling..... not charging for conversations that you already partially leak. Folks are smarter than that.

The phone call didn’t have anything that would help someone else. We never said, nor gave any inclination that the phone call would help. We mention med how the call was very strange and not help full. Yes..I did say I would release the full 8 minute conversation..and I did. We also said and released unseen footage of us packing up the day before, eating with our neighbor and other things that happened 2 days prior to our incident. That footage was good but not great so we post it publicly.
Do y’all! Don’t listen or even react to the negatives! I got put on to y’all shortly before the van incident! You guys are amazing and in my opinion you don’t need to explain to anyone what your motives or plans are! See y’all out there one day! Im just starting off with nothing but I’m gonna live it! Much of your information is completely or partially incorrect. Toll roads are safe, during the day. You always needed the temporary import documents, for everything RV,van, expensive motorcycles it's usually pay @$400 dollars for a RV type van and you get $340•360 back when you cross back into the United States. The main question is what did your lawyer say? Everything in Mexico everything involves a lawyer, buses are the way of Mexico,
