    Thanks! Now I know your secret...keto! I started recently and hope to look as good soon. 😃 It is good to know you can follow it there. I’d be interested in a video about following keto in Malaysia. I look forward to returning to Malaysia next year, and possibly moving back for the long term. I love your videos!

    Thank you so much for all of your posts. I have been watching your amazing posts for a while. As soon as I found out I would be on an expat assignment here I looked forward to every new post. We love Penang. I agree it's a great place with some amazing seaview condos, fantastic international schools, diverse cultures and more. I will make sure to share some of our journey. Relocating from the states was definitely an adventure. We dont regret it one bit! Thank you once again for your stories. You have helped so much.

      @@TenajTino Actually, TM does offer UNIFI which is actually Fibre Optics High Speed Broadband. Like Amir said, yep the normal package is up to 100MBPS.
      But you can also get the UNIFI Pro Plan which is about MYR 199 per month, but you can get up to 300 MBPS on that, unlimited downloads, plus free calls to all Landlines numbers and up to 600 minutes of Mobile numbers talk time.
      I'm guessing you got ripped off. Somebody gave u Streamyxx instead which is SUPER SLOW !!!

    Thanks! that was very interesting.... sounds like one person that doesn’t smoke/drink/no luxury shopping could easily live there comfortably on 1K a month. If that’s the case, I could retire today! 🤔 .... although I would go to KL, would you say there is a big monthly difference in cost between KL and Penang?

    • @TenajTino
      @TenajTino  5 лет назад +4

      Hi, KL is a bigger city so prices will be slightly higher but it would not be noticeable...if we had to guess it would be 300-500 more a month. The different between KL and Penang at you will notice will be the traffic and pace of life. Penang is completely different in that aspect. 1k for a simple person is feasible.

      I think you have to keep quite a bit in the local bank to retire here + visa fees. I had heard 80k from an elderly expat who wasn't able to after he no longer worked. Other than that it's dirt cheap. Plus the 80k is still yours, just kept here. Higher than many Asian countries but worth it. So safe in Penang. And beautiful.

      Yes, that is one way of being able to live in Malaysia permanently. There are other ways you can live there permanently also. Another way is to start a business, starting a biz there is very inexpensive and easy. We meet several expats that have done it, it doesn't have to be a multimillion dollar business either. But when i see u have to pay more than RM250 per month with the sluggish speed internet sounds crazy actually.
    One of the best that u probably not notice in Penang is , that state don't have so many crazy toll compare to where i live now in KL/Selangor .
