Today I set out to be a vacation hero. A #MagicKingdom ride master. It’s never been more stressful to go on a WDW vacation. You’ve got to ride it all. Eat it all. See it all. But this trip, I want to reach a #Disney Park nirvana. A place of ride zen. Let’s go celebrate the 50th anniversary of #WaltDisneyWorld and ride The People Mover 50 times!!

Honestly, the cast members are the MVP of this video.
I would have been thrilled to be working the people mover while someone did this. So cool.
love our CM"s i work in HS so i missed all the fun! lol!
Ikr
Facts! They’re the unsung heroes
they're always the MVPs
Hey Dan! My name is Elcie and I'm actually the cast member that gave you the tip to ride again :) it's so awesome to see your videos and to see you share the amazing people mover with everyone haha!
That’s so cool
Hey everyone I'm going to pretend to be someone in the video for likes... Cool - Not. Also, you referred to yourself as a cast member... You have never worked for Disney in your life.
@@tipsysmichigander6483 Hello! Though I don't need to prove to you that I am who I say I am I do have a Disney badge with my employee number on it so I love that you're showing me what it's like to have a hater but try not to be so ignorant from now on, wouldya? Love you Dan! You rock!
Just read your comment as you were speaking to him haha.
@@tipsysmichigander6483 you must not be too familiar with RUclips algorithms
I love Dan's confidence. He struts in like he owns the whole park and take his throne atop the Peoplemover. The cast members could see he was something special.
This was awesome! I was the dude from Guest Relations. Thank y’all so very much for the shout out! I was wearing my spare name tag and my name’s actually Drew. Love everything that y’all and Rob do keep up the awesome work!
Drew! You saved the day!!!! My bad on the wrong name. Oof. Thank you for everything!
Son of a ... Thanks again Drew. You are the best. Sorry I put down the wrong name. I really am a cotton headed ninny muggins. Sorry man.
The people mover people say is a filler attraction but I gotta say that it’s almost my favorite ride in Tomorrowland. Except Space Mountain ofc
it's pretty much my favorite ride in the whole park
Mine is Monsters Inc Laugh Floor! Super funny, interactive, and underrated
@@carlsimpkins9197 I love that one too but I don’t really count it as a ride. It’s very funny tho
Yup people mover is the best. Back in the original fast pass days I used to ride the people mover while waiting on my fast pass time for space mountain lol
My favorite Tomorrowland attraction is carousel of progress
Challenge: Stay in Monsters Inc Laugh Floor for 4 hours.
And see if the monsters notice and say anything about it!
Great idea lol 😂
@@bluegold1026 who knows he might be that guy
All day on the people mover sounds like a normal day at the magic kingdom to me, absolutely adore your tenacity, Dan 😂
Dan, you’ve sold us on your personality and brand. We’ll watch content of you chilling in the parks any day, no need to tackle records or fight the annoying vloggers
That means a lot! Thanks!!!
That was so nice of that cast member to always recognize Dan and even offer to get him a front row seat to get better footage! Wow what an A+ service! All those cast members were extra friendly! This was such a fun idea. If I ever moved to Florida and got a season pass, I’d totally do this! 💗
Cast members definitely notice the regulars. Or if someone gives a compliment, or someone that's interesting
So much love to all the CMs that day! If someone rode my attraction from open to close I dont even know how we would celebrate, but I know my fellow Maters CMs and I would talk about them every day forever.
You work at Mater's? Like Mater's Junkyard jamboree in Cars land?
Lol I love how you included Offhand Disney. I'm just glad you had a fun day. The cast members all seem fun and sweet.
I love this idea. The one ride challenge. I wonder if you could stay on the Railroad once non-stop once that is up and running.
Do. This. #forWalt
I would love to do that!
My son has done this at Disneyland. 8:00-12:30 (sweeper train)
Alternate title: “Dan Groundhog Days away his sanity for 14 hours, but, like, in a fun way” 😂
Erika saying where the hidden Mickey is is everything 😂 you made the cast members day!
Erika was the best.
I know her personally, she (and her twin sister) are the sweetest!
14:03 - “Keep your hands and arms inside the legs. Don’t do the stuff.” Dude, I laughed my drink! I don’t care if it was real or fake, that’s hilarious!!! 😅😂🤣
%100 real. Dan's brain was gone by then.
I love the point when Dan was people mover drunk! 🤣😂🤣
I kind of love how happy the cast members were to see you guys with each new set.
This is the video we never knew we needed. I LOVE The PeopleMover, but 50 times in a row might fry my brain lol.
Very nice! Myself and two others did Carousel of Progress for 14.5 hours on March 9th, 2022, setting the the record for most times on Carousel of Progress in one day, 36 times
That was going to be my suggestion. The WEDWay is my second most favorite recovery ride in the Kingdom. Carousel is my first. Some of us sleep on that ride. I imagine that after watching that 36 times your mind would be even more blown than with the Peoplemover. My personal best is riding the Rockin Rollercoaster 7 times with no line. I did have to make the long walk around, but it was September 11 2002, the 1 year anniversary of 9-11, and the park was empty. After 7 times, the walk was not sufficient time for the motion sickness to fade enough.
Looks like a very moving experience.
12:20 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The Offhand Disney reference!!! This video was so much fun to watch!
No one in my family has ever wanted to stop and ride it- I've been there 17 times and STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ON THE PEOPLE MOVER. (My almost husband and I will be going sometime soon- he's never been so maybe that'll be my chance 😂)
I went when it was shut down for a million years right after covid. I was so excited to ride it and it never opened 😭
Honestly its probably because the people mover is such an underused ride that they let Dan stay on multiple times at all. The cast member manning the Winnie the Pooh dark ride let me and my family stay in the car so we could ride it something like five times through, but only because there was no one else. For one of them we had to cede our car to a group who was waiting in line and then get into the next car that arrived shortly after (they're staggered). No one felt like riding that ride that one afternoon so they relaxed some of
the rules.
I also learned about the wait time inflation, although the CM obviously didn't explictly tell us about it. We did learn that they apparently don't have a placard to let them list wait time as less than four minutes (or they aren't allowed? I didn't really understand the answer, or I'm just having trouble remembering).
As long as you're having fun, and everyone's safe and taking care of themselves, I'd love to see more challenges like this! It really does put a fun spin on the parks.
I've actually never ridden the peoplemover so was thrilled to live vicariously through you and your slight descent into madness
Erika (hidden mickey cast member) is one of the most amazing people ever! she's such a sweet gem!
“In the final stages, the subject became erratic, violent and really funny to watch.”
Thank you both for the People Mover awesomeness, but also for bringing along Rob Plays (and the cameo from Offhand Disney, sort of 😂). Y’all are at the top of my Disney vlogger list.
If you sit on one spot for hours, you might get a Thrombosis. So getting off after every 4 rides does make sense for your health, too.
I could honestly do 14hrs straight on small world. I love the opportunity to do so.
You and me both, man. I adore Small World but we have to be some of the strong but tiny minority of people who can put up with the song that long 🤣
@@2doot I’m very happy to say I’d happily join you on this one ride challenge! I always find it funny how annoying everyone finds the song since the song was made specifically to not be too annoying 😂
I love Small World because of the art and the fact that if I had basic mechanical skills I could recreate a lot of it in my backyard. Like unironically.
That would probably drive me insane.
If you actually wanted to pull it off though, I'd recommend a rainy day. At least in Disneyland, because there's an uncovered section of the ride at the begining, as long as the rain is light enough, they'll keep the ride running but people won't want to use it because the seats are all wet. No or little line means the cast members will let you be on the ride for 14hrs straight. I visited Disneyland once when it drizzled, and it was the best. (It being a Sunday in February probably also helped). Many people stuck to all indoor rides, but it was light enough they didn't shut anything down. So if you braved the outdoors, you got greatly reduced lines on many rides.
As someone who doesn't like walking around much this sounds like fun lmao
My crew used to ride around the people mover in Anaheim near Disneyland(they call the area Downtown Disney) on the tram because it was free.
Was at Disney last week and going back in a couple of weeks (I live in the panhandle of Florida). Minus a few bad apples, Disneys cast members are amazing. Glad you were able to do this without a hassle
At this point Dan should be a cast member for the ride
Petition for merch that says “keep your hands and arms inside the legs. Don’t do the stuff. Behave yourself.”
The absolute chaos this video has is incredible, I love it. This feels like something Dallin would have done lol, glad you got him to cameo at least!! Also, I actually know the Cast Member who told you about the Hidden Mickey (well, my girlfriend does and I've met her before lol), she's super nice!
Thanks for keeping your sanity for our entertainment Dan!
This is comedy and Dan content gold
Full Fear and Loathing and Tomorrowland for the last few rides.
The people mover is my favorite ride behind pirates and space mountain. The nostalgia and relaxation this ride brings is like nothing else.
I would totally do this because the Peoplemover is one of my favorites & was the first ride I ever went on at WDW. But now I want to do something like this with like Carousel of Progress or Country Bear Jamboree. LOL!!
Now I know the place to be when I go to WDW for the FIREWORK SHOW!!! Thanks for the inspiration, DisneyDan.
When Kenny edited in the Twin Peaks theme I died lmao
"Keep your hand and arms inside the legs" is my new motto.
Challenge: Use and rank every hand sanitizer station in the park.
this is a great idea!
Challenge: 4 hours on Under the Sea. Easy peasy mermaid squeezy.
Love how cool the cast members were
Reminds me of when you could hide out in a movie theater all day. Bring your own candy and popcorn.
When I worked in Tland in '18-'19 there was a group who did this and it was so much fun getting the updates on them from the rocket tower CMs! I'm sure there was similar excitement over this!
completely lost it when the twin peaks music played
Hey that's me! Thanks for riding with us!
Dan, you have one of the best laughs I've heard in my life. Your laugh always makes me smile. Thank you.
This is the Disney park video I didn’t know I needed in my life! Well done! Can’t wait for more all day challenges. 🏰💫
I once did Space Mountain 52x in a day. Would have been more, but I took a 3 hour break to see characters and eat something (other than trail mix I slowly ate to prevent nausea). I tried a bunch of random stuff like looking up, looking backward, closing eyes, feet off floor, hands off the bar, etc for entire rides. Cast helped me cheat the line a bit because that walk out of the ride and back is murder (they let me use the kid swap/wheelchair access to reset for a good portion of the day). They signed my shirt, cheered me on, and it was a heck of a day. I haven't attempted a record that long before or since.
Awesome! I rode my favorite ride at Walt Disney World 41 times for 14 hours straight too!
and I thought the time I rode Under The Sea Journey Of The Little Mermaid 15 times in one day was nuts you sir put me to shame.
HAHAHA the twin peaks music!
I’m surprised Space Mountain wasn’t down on any of your ridethroughs on the Peoplemover! It happened to me my first (and so far only!) time on the Peoplemover where we got to see an empty Space Mountain with all the lights on, it was pretty neat.
Is this the chilliest Disney Dan video ever? Why yes I think it is and I loved every second of it!
Although I am left with a gnawing question… did Kenny get his dole whip?!?!
I got one FINALLY at the very end of the day - like 20 mins to spare before the park closed. But I still got charged for the one I waited 40 mins on and apparently canceled...
@@kenjohnson1028 You're the best part of these videos.
This was a great video, very well put together and you “kept it moving” (sorry) throughout with nice commentary and guest appearance. Hope it gets a ton of views!
I remember back when they had Disney Quest my cousin and I spent an entire day making rollercoasters and riding them on the rollercoaster maker ride thing. It was a blast and something I'll always remember. It's definitely a nice feelings when you're not feeling pressured to 'do' or 'see' everything just because it's there and you just do exactly what you want. Makes the experience a lot more fun! :)
Dan, Rob and Kenny , y’all made me laugh, great content and editing skills. Thanks for the fun video 🎉
The ride stop announcement gave me flashbacks to my last trip. The Peoplemover stopped three times, and even when it said the ride would resume immediately, it still took a moment for it to start again. It was past 9 pm, and we were all tired.
And here I was, proud to have rode Incredicoaster 12 times in one night during a Disney After Dark. Good stuff, my dudes.
EVOLUTION OF GODZILLA PLEASE!!! I'VE BEEN ASKING YOU FOR AT LEAST HALF A YEAR DAN!!!
Going on the people mover 40 times made him drunk
I'm a former CM and Dan at around 9:40 ish sums up about why I liked working the Disneyland Railroad so much. There's something about going around in a circle over and over that makes the day FLY by. Days I worked the train were so much more chill than days I worked other rides.
Great video! This is my favorite ride at the park. When the parks reopened, it took the Peoplemover another year to come back. To celebrate it coming back, I rode it 10 times in a row, from about 4:30 - 9pm. It was awesome.
Awesome…seriously fun to watch. Thank-you for all your hard work, just to make our day. -Love you so much!!
Hi Dan. I’m Australian & I don’t think I’ll ever get to any Disney park but I love your videos & you always put a smile on my face. I have fun watching your videos , I thank you for sharing with us ♥️
Alt video title: “Becoming a Hero”
imma give y’all a little tip, RIDE JUNGLE CRUISE AT FIREWORKS just trust me here.
If the Stitch ride was still open, you’d be hearing “I don’t think so! Hahahahahahaha!!!” Lots of times.
Great! Now ride Space Mountain all day. 😈
Dan's loopiness reminds me of sleep deprived Kevin during Charityland "Mickey Mouse...sucks!"
i just found you, i love your humor, and i love disney. this makes me so happy omg
I've been wanting to do this sooooooooo baddd. My cousin and I will sit there and ride men in black at universal back to back. I want to ride the people mover like this so bad
I'm obsessed with Haunted Mansion, I'd love doing this on that ride. Just a pure day of nothing but the Mansion. I'd never get sick of it, just kind of sounds like paradise to me. I'm sure it's hell to someone else though xD
I love how nice Disney cast members are!
like 20 years ago me and three friends rode it and napped on it for a few hours. I was the first to wake up. My mom said she smoked a joint on it with her friends in the 70s. Love this ride!
Great video, great ride, and great to see Rob! (And the head of Dallin)
I've been in love with your channel for a long time now, but you have just gone up a tier for keeping the Tails plushie back there. The comfort of DisneyDan, Disney, and my childhood plush is an indescribable feeling ☺️
Great video, Dan! You truly are a gift 💕
I have chronic health issues and the people mover seems like it would be a nice place to rest if I tire out (but it's too bad they make you get off every 4)
Love this ride could do it over and over. When you’re spending all day high energy in a busy crowded park, it’s so relaxing to just sit for a bit on this ride.
I love the cast members! I bet weird things like this make their day. I honestly adore the mild and gentle chaos of this one.
Total ride time on the Peoplemover for me : 0 seconds
Honestly when I go to disney, I don't ride the scary stuff. (Splash mountain, space mountain, etc.) I JUST do the peoplemover. I've been an uncountable number of times. JUST THE PEOPLEMOVER.
Wasn't expecting this video to make me miss the Starlight Café Mission to Mars Burger. To respond to your annotation, I ate it. Me. AND IT WAS SO GOOD.
"ayyyy it's you again! wait here, I'll get ya front row." -best cast member at Disney world
Here's your next challenge, one I plan on doing myself someday:
1) Go to EPCOT
2) Purchase and consume an alcoholic beverage
3) Ride Mission: SPACE Orange Team
4) Repeat 2 and 3 until close or physical inability.
I call it the TANG Challenge because it's "Orange/Drink"
Omg, it's absolutely one of my favourite rides... it's such a nice break after walking in the hot sun all day. But I have to admit, my butt would be DEAD after a full day of the peoplemover !! lol
I was…moved. We’ll have to start calling you Disney Dammmnnn!
It's not quite this level, but my first time at WDW as an adult, I marathoned PotC for about 2-3 hours on my last day there. I think I rode it something like 15-ish times in succession. Good times. People Mover seems like a good one to stay on all day though, since you don't have to keep getting off and on and since it's so relaxing. Though I would have preferred this with the OG voiceover track from about 10-15 years ago lol.
Mad props for using the Twin Peaks theme, damn fine ride!
Me: imagine being on a ride for 14 hours straight
Dan: is that a challenge because challenge accepted
Me: uhhh I didn't expect that
thanks for hearting
Wow guys Dan's people mover adventure
Is going to be in history books
It's that glorious
I've always wondered if they'd let you do another lap on the Peoplemover. Pretty cool that they will let you go again! I'm sure if it's really crowded they'd probably make you get back in line, but on a slow day I certainly wouldn't mind three or four laps around the track! The Peoplemover is one of the hidden gem attractions in my opinion.
That MainStreet to Blubber guy just keeps growing! WOW, destination 400 lbs.
You may have rode 50 times but we managed 8 grown adults sitting in the car before a scavenger hunt years ago. Good job Dan!
THE TWIN PEAKS MUSIC LMAOOO
What an achievement! You're a special kind of crazy to attempt this and I'm all for it! The PeopleMover is my favorite ride at Walt Disney World and it's one of those rides that I just have to go on as much as I can. Long live the PeopleMover!
