Well, here we are. TWO YEARS LATER. And Honestly, I think it's about time I threw another tier list at the wall. What do you think? Also I didn't include Shades of Green because that's a gray area. Shades of Gray. Hahaha- WAIT

Haunted Mansion is now an honorary "Polynesian Village Tier".
Can you sleep there now too? 🤓
Is there wifi? 🤓
Are the toiletries bolted to the wall? Perhaps just suspended in the air by one of the 999?
@@Mike_Plays I just have been there since flash back past life look back at movie made into store story about driving Disney world and Disneyland Disney company class starts at VIP tickets tour New oasr awesome picture awards TCM hollywood netflix original email to the bank of America picture awards TCM channel on money and the best part of the same history of power outage map money made Disneyland hotel room like being back in time to talk about it take care cost and pay pal picture day away magic morning online free
Don't forget Pirates of the Caribbean!
I was once stuck on the tower of terror with one of said cheerleading groups and the *moment* those doors closed, they all started screaming. It was so. Loud. Loud enough that apparently the cast members outside heard, because when we were getting off the ride they pulled my group aside, took us to the front of the line and let us ride again 😅
He forgot tree house villas😎
BAHAHA THATS AMAZING
I dont think you give Animal Kingdom Lodge enough credit. An extremely unique experience, beautifully crafted architecture, and some of the best food you can find on property between Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa.
I second this. Now granted, it was my first time staying on property, but it was such a smooth and awesome experience, that it was just a rush of awesome for me.
I have never stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but Boma has been a must-visit on every trip.
Definitely agree. I’d personally give it Atleast an A tier. Love the resort
Ah but consider this: Boma deez nuts
I agree! I have my favorite two, but Animal Kingdom Lodge is easily my number three. But just barely below my number two. I have stayed there twice and both times were excellent experiences.
Fun fact, if you go to the bar at port Orleans river side and ask nicely for a mint julep they will make you one, and oh man is it good but good lord is it strong, I just really wanted to try one and the nice lady said “strap in”. It was well worth it though.
Not to mention if you go on a Wednesday night they have Yeehaa Bob, probably one of the best performers at any Disney resort
@@palmickey420 wasn't he laid off?
@@jasonwebb5964 he was brought back about 6 months ago.
@@palmickey420 Definitely agree. Yehaa Bob is amazing! His show may not be for everyone, but no one can deny the man is an incredible performer. The talent, enthusiasm, and effort he puts into each show (a show that's free!) is truly incredible.
@@axh114 did they bring back the Grand Floridian orchestra too? I stopped following Disney closely the last year or so. They've lost me as a fan and it'll take a lot to get me back.
Dallin your writing just gets better and better. This was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the bit when you placed the Boardwalk on the list. This whole video was definitely worth the effort imo.
Completely true!
I've only ever stayed at the sports resort because I was one of the cheerleaders and definitely the only way I could afford to go to Disney. I hate loud noises too so it constantly was overwhelming. On behalf of all the cheerleaders I apologize for the loudness lol
The cut to sleeping beauty castle when you said "splendor, perfection, mastery" was just ..... *chef's kiss*
Indeed
With its Victorian architecture, the Grand Floridian ought to turn one floor of one wing into a Haunted Mansion theme
For those who don't know, back in the he 70's and 80's the Contemporary Hotel did NOT have a 13th floor. When riding the elevator the numbers skipped from 12th to 14th floors. I don't know if it is still like that now though.
It was very common before the 90's to not list the number 13 as a floor number in buildings.
China does this a lot too with the number 4
The old Downtown Athletic Club in Lower Manhattan instead of a 13th floor and an "H" floor because it was on that floor every December that the DAC was the focus of the whole sports world. One word: Heisman.
Most buildings don’t have a 13th floor.
Yeah its still a very common practice.
@@Meatball2022 They just said that
Boardwalk, when in full prime time, when all the entertainment, restaurants and bars open are the absolute tip top of Disney hotels. I loved how it was almost it's own mini Downtown Disney. It's definitely been toned down since the pandemic, but when it was in it's peak it was absolutely the best. Plus a walk way away into the World Showcase (the best part of Disney World) is a big bonus.
I swear you are my Disney brother. Haunted mansion is the best and so is the Poly! The constant Hawaiian music, Tonga toast in the morning, Dole whip with no crazy line, trader Sam’s and the white beach to sit at during sunset looking over the water. My wife and I tried to get married there two years ago. Then Covid happened. Was that the boardwalk two weeks ago for the first time. Really liked it! Saw the creepy chairs and went to abracadabar. Awesome! The resorts are another reason my wife and I are trying to move there from Colorado. Great video man!
Finally. My entire vacation is dependent on this list.
Former cast member and currently live and work at the Grand Canyon. My favorite resorts are the Boardwalk and the Wilderness Lodge.
Fun fact about the Wilderness Lodge: It’s fireplace is made from the geological layers of the Grand Canyon. Near the bottom is a fine black layer that Slides across the fireplace. That’s called Vishnu schist and it means exactly how it sounds
I feel that Fort Wilderness should get an A-tier rating. It offers a versatility that the other resorts can't provide. There's space and privacy if you want to rest and community if you're more social. It's more of a neighborhood feel versus boxy rooms with hallways. You can prepare regular family meals, or special diet meals in the cabins without having to worry about expensive restaurant menus. If you have an RV, you can come and go easily. When there's holidays, you can do activities with your neighbors or have a cook-out. Children can run. The air is fresh and encourages you to set your own pace for a vacation.
The recreation is also next-level. Where else can you fill your days with biking, visiting parade horses, kayaks, campfires, nature trails, archery….
My first disney resort was Fort wilderness. Remember crying bc my brother kept chasing the ducks away
Fort wilderness is definitely top tier 1000x better than any other Disney resort
In theory i do agree but the one time we stayed at fort wilderness my cousin got poison ivy. They did give us free reign to skip the lines for the rest of the trip tho so that was a plus
Grand Californian made such an impression on me that I started working in hotels
I'm amused how well you were able to slide in the totally new tier for the list. :D
I was absolutely loving this video until the Animal Kingdom Lodge slander... my jaw literally dropped to the floor when you said that Dahlin...
Right?! He gave a higher rating to the Grand Californian when it is the AKL without the animals and culture.
Personally think that Coronado Springs deserves at least A tier for the sliding barn doors in the bathrooms for the rooms.
I agree but the doors can be a bit loud, no soft close. Also, sometimes you have to "mind the gap" with those doors closed.
Its the best ive been to. And only.
That would be the only light on the place for us. Terrible experience, turrrrrrible.
It would be in the sub-basement of F tier if the F tier was sucked into a massive hellmouth.
I'd rank animal kingdom lodge up there with the Polynesian- they're both the most immersive and unique resorts in my opinion, and I love them both dearly. Also, "slides"✨
Man I almost unsubbed when you put Fort Wilderness in C tier... I am a die hard Fort Wilderness person who likes to Dress up the RV, so much so that I bought a hearse and drove it 700 miles to park it in front of the camper for Halloween. You name me another resort that will let you park your hearse in front of your room and I will submit my stance, but Fort Wilderness is at least S tier (it was A then you gave the Poly its own spot Also the Hoopdee doo review is amazing). If you don't believe me, next time I'm heading to DW I will give a personal tour of the campground in the hearse while blasting Grim Grinning Ghosts from the speaker system.
If the "Haunted Mansion" themed resort you and Dan came up with did open, would it be "Polynesian Village Tier" or have its own tier, above Polynesian Village?
It would be Haunted Mansion tier lol
Our go-to's are:
Beach Club
Boardwalk
Port Orleans
Contemporary
Lol we got the same rotation. These are easily my favorite
Couldn't agree more with the cheerleading group comments hahah
As someone who's never visited a single Disney hotel... yes, this tier list is accurate.
We stayed in the French quarter when I was younger and we hardly made it to the parks because of that serpent slide. Now New Orleans square is my favorite Disney aesthetic and I would love to have the money to go back. And, I visited poly for the first time yesterday and it definitely deserves its own tier!! Amazing video!! They are always the best pet of my week!
He is Natalie. He is!
I literally just got back from the Disneyland Hotel and lemme just say that this tier list rating is totally true. It was such a good time and I only stayed one night and now I really really wanna go back and that’s saying something
I stayed at Old Key with my wife a few years ago. Has some definite pluses; very peaceful and quiet, with a very mellow vibe. The rooms are GIANT--our one bedroom was on a top floor overlooking a pond and fountain on the golf course. Full kitchen, Jacuzzi tub, and a laundry room IN THE ROOM. Downside was the 5 bus stops; when we figured out which was the first stop, we always went to that one each morning. Pricing is also very very good here, especially if you rent DVC points.
The best Disney resort my family and I have been to is the Yacht/Beach club; nice and close to EPCOT!
Edit: it also has the BEST POOLS imo
Slide: Out of the six times I’ve been to WDW, I’ve never taken the ferries from ttc to MK. Always take a bus to the Polynesian just so I can walk through/ smell the lobby then take the monorail. Polynesian definitely it’s own top tier. 👍
My favorite is port Orleans Riverside because it was so peaceful and magical. Lots of good memories. Can't afford to stay there anymore cause we were priced out.
Great stuff, as always, Dallin -- and fantastic editing! I just might slide this video into my S-Tier!
Looking forward to our upcoming stay in June at Coronado Springs Resort. Really wish that had that Skyliner access but hey, they have the temple slide at the pool and a great roof top lounge with views of both Hollywood Studios and Epcot!
Bus only is a bit of a bummer but it's not too much of a big deal anyway
Coronado is great!
While I love my home resort (Riviera) getting props, I’m also hoping it continues to be the “best kept secret” and doesn’t become over crowded and impossible to get into. I’m also going to say, Riviera having its own dedicated bus route is such an OP trait. Granted we pay for it with higher dues, but it’s worth it.
The walls are very thin... Hahahahahaha, my wife and I looked at each other and burst out laughing. While we haven't stayed at this thin walled hotel, we've been in one thin walled hotel and the kids in the morning said they thout someone was being murdered nearby. Ah, yeah, murdered, not so much, the noises weren't murder kid.
Mr. Tiki looks like what you’d get if one of the Easter Island statues produced offspring with Abe Vogoda. Love the channel, Dalin! Thanks fir all the hard work!🥂
Very well played indeed!
Great list. I would move AK up one. When we were there, we parked in an outdoor lot but that was Jambo House. I would also either move AoA up to A or Pop down to C. AoA is more of a moderate feeling value resort. Those Boardwalk chairs are creepy
Thoroughly enjoyed you “slide”-ing through this list!!
My goal in life is to stay in every single Disney Hotel. Just slide over to each and every single one to experience all of them. Similarly, I want to eat at every Disney restaurant, go on every ride, and go to every park in the world.
love how self aware your humor is. keep up the great vids man. love the content.
Port Orleans French Quarter was the hotel my parents booked after our first trip where we stayed at All Star Sports. (which was a hotel. Put in the right place on this list) the Port Orleans French Quarter is a great hotel.
Really enjoy your videos and this one is no exception. So much fun!
This was great. I was just at Disney World this weekend and discovered that I enjoy just hanging out at the resorts more then the parks. It was so busy that I found myself just riding the boats and monorails around while relaxing any eating at the resort hotels. Your Polynesian hotel relaxing idea was exactly what I did and I loved it. Great job on this video.
Riviera in the Poly tier? Nope, no way, not happening. That resort is a bland box decorated with some pretty paintings/mosaics to distract people that it lacks theming. I suppose it does fit right alongside the new Poly tower though. Oh and slide.
I've been WAITIN for this one!!!!
I say Coronado spirings was fun despite the no direct access to parks outside of the bus. But we did slide on over to the yatch club, got a kitchen sink and walked past the globe.
Dallin: *asking what our favorite Disney resort is*
Me: "well I've only ever been to one and that's - "
Dallin: "Saratoga Springs?? Alright"
Me: 👁️👄👁️
Just gonna slide down to the comments to say how much I love your content!!! Longer videos especially!
They need to do a candle for the Riviera lobby. It’s the best smell on property!
your videos never fail to make me smile. I'm really excited for my upcoming trip and this made me even more excited :)
He forgot tree house villas😎
Wow this video was great, I loved the slides at the different resorts.
The photo with you in your wedding tux and with the Polynesian Village at the "I GOT MARRIED THERE", looks like you got married TO the Polynesian Resort itself lol. Great video!
I love your channel...always fun
The Disneyland Hotel is an exceptional experience. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and The DL Hotel stands above them all. It's only rival was the Actual Hotel del Coronado's Presidential Suite! (back in the 60's mind you!) The monorail SLIDE at the DLH is purty dang fun too! I suggest the Concierge level Adventure Tower Park View! It's astounding! Great video Sir Dallin.
Love The Contemporary, it’s location is great and you can just slide right in to The Magic Kingdom on the monorail. I also really love the Mary Blair inspired mosaic!!
Offhand Disney, or Slightly-Unhinged Disney? 😂 and I love every second! The videos keep getting better and better!
I had an idea for A list I want to see, the Disney CEO Tier List
I got to stay in the Disneyland hotel back in like 2008 and I loved it. I really would love to be able to stay there again, especially since I didn't get to experience a lot of stuff in the actual hotel. The dining, the decor, the pool and waterslides and just so many other things too. I did at least get to experience the executive (I think that's the right term) level.
Ahaha Dallin, the side eye at 0:53 cracked me up!! 🤣 Luv your videos 😀 (btw "slide" lol)
I just realized that you are more enjoyable to watch while being intoxicated. Keep on keeping!!
I love slides they make me so incredibly happy, nothing will ever beat the experience of slides.
have stayed One (1) time at the disneyland hotel when i was like, 8, so i have no opinion on disneyland hotel tier lists... but your writing + commentary is always so fun that i cant help but click no matter what the topic is
Awesome video 😁🥰
We could be brothers! My three favorite places as well- Living with the Land, The Poly, and Haunted Mansion! Great video as always.
Slide. Got to say I love the camp ground. Very slow paced place to stay.
Your channel is Polynesian Village Tier. Man, I love that hotel. I tend to stay at Fort Wilderness, just because those cabins are so cute and cozy and it's unusually quiet, but Polynesian is just.. so, so good.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE POLY!!
I love your videos man, but you lost me when you placed Animal Kingdom Lodge at C tier. The lowest of the Deluxe? Easily the best and most unique Disney hotel in existence.
He has some issues...I feel bad for him
Just spent a week at Poly to escape the Colorado snow for a bit, first time was amazing. Home resort is Vero Beach for 20+ years … it’s my vibe and a solid Poly level. Also love Old Key West as my usual 1st choice, value / quality Ven Diagram … plus Jean LF hides there. Love your channel!
Great job and very helpful. I agree with you on the Disneyland trio, which is my home park. I’m heading to WDW soon and staying at the Polynesian for the first time. Very excited. Thanks again.
We’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time next month, and now we’re extra pumped! ✨💖✨
I appreciate the ride/park entrance music in the background shes so nostalgic🤧
I truly don't get everyone's love for Pop Century-- its one of my family's least favorite places we've stayed. We are big on theme and this theme just didn't feel at all Disney for us. But conversely, our favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think you sold this one VERY short. The architecture and art is beautiful and the dining is incredible. And who doesn't want to roast marshmallows at night while watching giraffes?? Waking up in the morning to see the animals being fed outside your balcony?? Unbeatable.
I’ve been WAITING for this video.
Maybe start a “things to do at the ___ resort” series?
Definitely Awesome
What a wonderful video young man. You put so much effort and care into your videos and it is appreciated. My folks went to Disneyland on opening day. I have some great pics. I also went on Grad night for graduation
The Pointer Sisters played at 3 am. So cool.
Yeah I'm old . 😁
Keep up the great work and best wishes.
A & J. From So. Calif ❤️
Was just at Port Orleans: French Quarter March 19-27, First trip in 30+ years, LOVE this resort. Thought transportation might be an issue, but bus's were fast, friendly and never crowded. Did a Carriage ride from Riverside, best $55+tip spent. So many "Grey Poupon" jokes. Bought a candle for you Mr. Offhand. Keep up the good work. (Slide)
I went to dinner at the restaurant at the top of The Riviera last year for my birthday and got to watch the EPCOT fireworks from the rooftop. It was glorious. My friends and i are staying in a suite there for our DCP 10 year reunion this fall and I cannot wait to be back!
Great video! There’s an amazing balcony that overlooks the pool that’s an awesome quiet spot at The Grand Floridian. I love quiet spots at the resorts.
I wish you were a host for the Disney Christmas parade. Your knowledge of Disney and humor are so fun to watch!
You are so fun to watch and so positive and goofy about Disney Thanks for sharing fun vibes and positivity. Slides rule. I am new to your channel but do you visit the water parks?
13:13 I'm glad I found a RUclipsr that goes to the exact 3 of my favorite spots in disneyworld. thought I was living with the land's #1 supporter until this channel popped into my recommended.
Port Orleans riverside is the worst hotel, the doors are outside and I always get lizards in my room. And if you take the bus from the park, it takes like 50 stops to get to your building.
This. All this totally agree
Fort wilderness is definitely A tier for me; animal kingdom lodge is b tier, animals are amazing, food is really good, parking sucks
Disneys Polynesian Resort and Spa baby! Cannot get enough of it.
Just got back from staying at the Polynesian and it in fact was Polynesian village tier
Great vid! I'm looking forward to speeding down the Poly slide on my next trip. I'll look for you, my friend. 🙂
My favourite is the boardwalk, it’s just a good atmosphere and a good location to the parks. And it’s even better once they got rid of the scary clown slide
I will never agree with any compliments about the yacht club resort because it instantly reminds me of the time I closed my finger on the hotel door and it almost broke them.
My favorite is pop century, I have a lot of memories there and the scenery is really cool
I feel you with DVC. My best friends parents own both Old Key West and Animal Kingdom and they let me stay with them when they head down to Florida. Always greatful for it!
i think gran destino tower and coronado springs should be two different things even though theyre the same resort because of how different the experience is depending on where you stay. ive stayed at both the tower and the actual rooms and hated the actual rooms because of how loud everything was but the tower, oh my god. the smell of it and the lobby was absolutely beautiful and there's a huge mosaic of walt and mickey and! theres a breakfast bar and at night it becomes an actual bar. I love it sooo much more than the original part of the resort.
Coronado Springs was the only hotel I managed to stay at while I was a CM, so I got that sweet sweet 50% discount on a tower room. It was gorgeous. Nothing really special with the themeing, but the restaurant out on the lake is wonderful.
Only been to WDW once and stayed at Wilderness Lodge, absolutely loved it. Being able to watch the Electrical Water Pageant from hotel was awesome as well.
It’s ‘chairs’ … no, no, no, I made it to the absolute end, it’s ‘slide’!
I stayed at The Dolphin resort in Florida awhile back (early 2000s) at my last Disney trip and it’s a standard resort with decent amenities but also its statues don’t look like dolphins at all. They literally look like regular fish and it kind of bugs me.
I’ve thought about this so many times, why did they make the statues look like that?? Feels like a dolphin isn’t that difficult if you’re gonna be commissioning a large fish lol
It's a callback to the European middle ages where dolphins weren't as well known by the public. Various sculptors and artists during that time depicted dolphins as large fish rather than the mammal-like creatures we've known today because they've never seen one in real life and made them based on what they've heard about them. If you go to various European cities, you could see old fountains made during that time that have fish creatures sculpted in them similar to ones at the dolphin resort.
I've only stayed at All Star Movies and Art of Animation, and im gonna be honest: Art of Animation was awesome. Not only because there was Skyliner access, but also because we were supposed to stay in the Little Mermaid pavillion, but we got bumped up to the Cars pavillion (which was much more expensive,) and also we didn't have to pay for parking anymore :D
Pop century>>>
I loved this. It reminded me of a slide show.
We stayed at both Old Key West and The Riviera last Christmas. We loved both for very different reasons.
We stayed at the Contemporary fort years, then Port Orleans (my #1 fave), and Riverside. Maybe a few others, but Contemporary was our family favorite. He died recently and the shot of the silver Mickey on the ears, I remember him taking a pic. It was our first time to Disney, I didn't want to go home. I was maybe 8? I had the saddest look on my face, but it was a great trip. Thank you for helping me remember a sweet memory. 🖤
