Nettle infusion:
Nettles have a lot of good benefits and they are therefore ideal to make infusion of. They are great for skin problems, elevated androgen levels (male sex hormones), PCO, etc. Nettles are packed with zinc, which is good for our sex hormone and our sex drive. Just as they are filled with iron, which menopausal women are often in deficit of, which can make you feel tired all the time. In addition, they are also rich in B and C vitamins, Calcium, sodium, silicon, etc. - a pure health bomb!
Due to the base-formed minerals of Nettles, your skin will get plenty of nourishment and the herb can also have a deep cleansing effect on your organs and skin - therefore it is ingenious for skin problem. It also has a blood sugar regulating effect and can therefore have a good effect on your androgen levels and for PCO.
Here's how you do it:
1 l boiled water, preferably cooled to 80 degrees
4 tablespoons dried stinging nettle
Drizzle the stinging nettle with boiled water, do it in the evening and leave it on the kitchen table until the next day. Drink half in the morning and the rest during the day.
Try doing this for a month and notice the difference in your skin.
Tips:
- Feel free to add a little stevia, or something else for taste
- Put it in the fridge overnight if you prefer to drink it cold
- You can buy dried stinging nettle in most health food stores

Oh Christine, we always watch your and Kalle's videos with my husband. And this video in particular brought up so much memories, when we used to live the same way you guys do, for 5 years up in the mountains, without water, or washing machine , or all the comforts for that matter..We used to wash ourselves on the balcony with a few jars of water in the summer, and brought clothes to wash in town, and we didn't even own a car for the first few years, and brought the water up on our backs every day.,.. It is not an easy way to live for sure, but it has it's magic. And the quietness is priceless. You guys are doing awesome! Wish a beautiful spring for you and the pups 🥰
Christine, My friend candled my ears once, I think I was around 50 years old. So much came out I couldn’t believe it. On examining and contemplating, I realized the very fine inch long hairs had to have been from a baby brush used on my head as a two to three year old! No other explanation fit!! Candling wonderful, protect your ears from wind and cold after.🦋 I am loving your videos🙏💗

Another wonderful video Christine, thank you for sharing 🤗 I went back to Scotland for 3 weeks in March. Whilst the trip was under extremely difficult circumstances, I was grateful for the break in this Northern winter. I swam in the sea and felt sand in my toes ... It was bliss. It’s not a scam. We do it every so often… the heat produced causes a drawing force to pull wax and any other gunk. You can use a large tin foil pie plate instead of the little disc. You feel more protected. Use scissors to cut the candle to see the debris. We do it on my mom and helps her hearing a bit.

Ear candling is a beautiful and relaxing ancient holistic treatment. It works on a chimney principle...the smoke warms the ear wax and loosens it drawing it out ‘up the chimney’. The sound you hear is like a distant ocean.
I did mine the other day again, its a lot safer than sticking ear buds in that actually push any wax back down the ear canal.

I love those ear candles (yes, that's what they're called in English). They really help when I get ear infections or blocks in my ears. They can be pretty gross when they remove the blocks but it feels amazing!!

I'm glad to see both of you have a critical mind about the ear candles. Once a year or every 2 years I do it as well but I have twice burned candles without using them in my ears, to compare them to those I have used instead and when opened afterwards the amount of stuff I found inside and the colour was similar to the one I burnt in my ear so despite I do it I'm still skeptical about it. Also I did some research on them and there have been cases where the wax has been leaking down and people burnt their ear canals, so always be careful. Finally they recommend not to use them if people have ear infection or inflammation as could actually cause more harm, making the problem worse.

Spring is such a sacred time - it's constant fluctuations are like being in a simultaneous space of expansion and contraction which is both the struggle and it's teaching/medicine. I make RUclips videos in a similar spirit to yours and I kept waiting to film the "spring" (I was thinking: green, flowers blooming, etc) but finally realised that Spring isn't really that way at all. I laughed so hard at the part about you and Kalle trying ear candling - your reactions were *exactly* how my partner and I were when we tried it the first time. p.s. The best way to see that ear candling really does work is to cut the circle in half - you get to see the stuff it pulled out and it's amazing how much it really gets!

Ohh, how cool to see you doing the ear candling!🥰 I used to offer that in my organic skin care salon! It’s really effective for removing ear wax and can actually help with a lot of conditions! Most my clients came for sinusitis, but it’s also just so relaxing, I love putting on Native American music while doing it, and it’s like you go into a meditative state with the sound of the flame 🥰
(Just a tip, when you want to check how much ear wax has been removed you roll open the bottom of the candle, remove the filter, and there you can clearly see the difference between earwax and wax from the candle!) (Of course there are different qualities of candles to consider)

Will the candles help ringing in the ears?? I have had my ears done two times !!
@@ChristineKjaer I use Biosun and think they are the best and most efficient ones I’ve tried. It’s also really important to get them pressed good in place in the ear, so that no air can come through on the sides, can be a bit painful if you have a small ear opening, but it passes once it’s in place!
Also important to know I offered the ear candle treatment as a relaxing meditative treatment, because it’s no scientific proof it can treat any medical conditions, but my costumers came back because they felt it really helped them with different ear problems as well!😍
(I always put a towel covering the hair and part of the face, for extra precaution and it helps relax even more☺️)
(And never use it if there is an active ear infection)

Hi Christina - yes, my family used these as well. We used to make them by melting wax and using old sheet strips, winding them around a pencil and then doing to ear burning. My moms mom taught us how to make and use them.

love this! A little tip, remove the net from ( talgbollar ) the bird feeding balls.. haha sounds so weird, no clue the name of it haha. But not only birds get stuck bit if u have deer or other animals around they can risk to eat it. :( so it u could find another way like a feeder would be perfekt!. :)
Yes we know ❤️ Kalle have been in so many shops to search for a feeder he like, but could not find anyone of good quality. Then all of the miscarriage happened. So next year, I hope we can order a feeder online, and have a better solution ready for winter ☺️

Thanks a lot, Christine, for sharing the nettle infusion recipe! Could you also share how to pick the stinging nettles? In the video it looks like you could touch them with your bare fingers, just in the middle of a leaf without getting stung…
Yes I pick them with my hands 🙈
I heard last year, if you touch the nettle with a loving attention and in a soft way, they will not burn you.
I had so hard time believing that, so I had to try it out - and it actually worked 🙈 and I can’t explain it.
But yes, you can always touch them in the middle of the leaf, they will not burn you there either.
Otherwise, back in the days, I use some tools to pick the nettles with.
And remember to pick the new leaves and not the old, for tea. ☺️❤️
