Thanks for all your support this past year! I have no idea when the next vid will be out or even which game it will be on! Gonna be jumping into Armored Core over the next couple of weeks whilst trying not to get sidetracked by Todd Howard (...so the next vid will probably be a 6 hour Starfield review in mid 2024). Still have plenty of Elden Ring build guides on the list and I have another DS3 guide already filmed to edit at some point. I also really want to do an Elden Ring Player's Guide to Bloodborne too. I'll be dotting these around the other games I wanna try over the next couple of months (AC6, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen). So, sorry if the upload schedule gets a little choppy, but hopefully it'll be fun! Check the description for console-friendly alternatives to this guide. For those wondering why I didn't use the Clarifying Horn Charm - it was originally my intention to go grab it but it wasn't necessary for this one. If you were doing Frenzy only though, it would definitely be worth it. Hope you like the vid!
I’ve been following your videos since the start, and your help is the reason I can help other tarnished; thank you for all the tips and tricks you’ve shown us all
I got into Elden ring a little late (Started sort of November last year), a combination of the beautiful world, incredibly difficult to not get annoyed at way souls games work - but incredibly rewarding, it being my first souls game, the lore that requires actual work to learn and just as importantly, your videos helped keep me hooked for months straight of playing nothing else but. Just wanted to leave you a massive thank you Mr ThingFishy, every video is well edited and organised, with beautiful music and an absolute brick ton of helpful advice, thrown in with a smidge of comedy, while helping others creative sides be inspired while playing the game - I literally have played 5 themed builds for pvp now, a long with 5 or so for PvE just because I've had ideas while watchings yours and Vaati's videos. Keep up the good work mate, you deserve way more attention than you get.
for those like me who are bad at parrying, for draconic tree sentinel you can grab the poison mist spell from outside castle morn while you're getting the golden seed and somber 2 during set up as per the standard set up guide (which has been a life saver btw Thingfishy, thank you so much for making that), just sneak behind dts with poison mist incantation equipped and keep recasting it every time it wears off, he won't agro you and he'll eventually just die as long as you have enough blues, it'll take a lot longer than the parry strat to be sure, but it's a lot safer too :)
Can confirm that it still works. But watch a video while you do it. It actually take ALOT longer. But Easy kill. I needed like 2 Flasks. Poison doesnt stack, so 1 cast at a time
Man I did not realize it was the year anniversary. I just want to say that though you don’t know me. Your content has been such a blessing to my life. I’ve had some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing through your guides and watching your vids, with all the great cinematography and editing. You are an artist and I love your work man. Thank you for all the hard work this year.
After 9 months of watching your content, at long last I finally get to watch you do a Frenzied Flame build guide. 😭 I've never been more excited to watch one of your videos!
Frenzied Flame ending is by far my favorite ending. It's just so badass cinematically and morally (as in you could play it the hero-turned-villain story, or anything really) and realize the pure madness behind it all. The lore interconnected with it and the merchants, and everything else in the Lands Between it's just so... *chefs kiss* Perfect.
Love your builds. Again, your great axe build last week was a blast. I tried it and had fun even though fighting Malikith was like trying to swat a Hornet if said Hornet had bazooka instead of a stinger.
Fantastic video. I did a Frenzy Flame inspired Sauron build as my first NG+ playthrough, just because all the good FF stuff is so late game, and it was shockingly overpowered. Used a Fire Great Mace for melee, plus a bunch of FF spells and it steamrolls everything so hard. I do love/hate that FROM keeps up their tradition of hiding the best weapon for a class behind a boss that is super strong/almost immune against that class with the FF Seal being behind Sewer Mohg's almost complete fire resistance. Also, the Dark Moon Sword being behind Astel's almost complete magic immunity. True FROM trolling at it's finest(worst)
You’re guides have completely changed my understanding of what Elden ring is and can be thanks to you. I think it’s actually possible to become elden lord…fingers crossed!😊
It's slightly frustrating that every time one of you videos come out, I am then forced to replicate your amazing builds as you always articulate the wonder and joy a run through of Elden Rings brings. Also the intro to this video was on point, well done
Great vid as always! Frenzy builds are always super fun, great damage on most bosses and rediculously OP for any humanoid player style character. Can't wait to see your Armored Core stuff, i'll be playing that when it hits too!
hello @ thingfishygaming, an incantations only run is pretty cool. i used your video guide for faith after not being able to beat malenia. i finally beat her yesterday and the game today
When I first found the Beric sliders, I saved them specifically for a frenzied flame run. As I pushed it back, I ended up using them for the pyromancy and rage vids, but couldn't resist bringing him back for the original purpose. Thanks for watching!
Nice video again dude. Thanks for your Elden Ring Vids, they are amazing quality and such fun to watch!! You helped me so much get sorted early game for all my runs, makes the game so much more enjoyable! Keep it up ma dude!
I got elden ring a few days ago because my friend told me and it's been very fun, the only problem I had were with bosses. After watching your boss guide vid I feel like trying radagon/elden beast once more. Thanks😁
Love your videos, they look so good since the move to PC! Great video, love all the bugs and glitches, worked well for the build style. Will absolutely be here for more from other games, really looking forward to Armored Core too!
Color me confused but I seem to recall almost everyone else posting builds that a madness build in PVE isn't viable ... thank you for proving, yet again, that with careful and appropriate planning that not only is it viable, but .... DAMN!
the editing is absolutly top notch, as always. thank you for this build video. sadly i'm on ps5, sooo no glitches😢 this is one of tje reasons faith is so annoying. many good incants are late game. until mountaintops of the giants, dragon incants are the best choice i guess. i'd love a pyro build right from the start. sad
Hey, lovely vid man. I can remember your first build guide. Loved it and the quality has always gone further up and up. I recently finished my ds3 base game and the first dlc and it was lovely, im excited to try and fight gael. For now every boss has been easy even the nameless King, He took me the most tries and he took me 5 tries xd. Anyway, id appreciate if you can do a Dex build next in DS3. Id love to see that :D
You can use the rot lake bubbles, right next to the grace to kill O'Neil. It takes more time than any other method but you can also kill the axe summons. Just gallop atop of Torent.
Dang 😂, idk how to do ( zip glitch ) on ps5 but I’ve read that it’s harder than on pc bottom line your vid’s always inspire me and it would be fun to see you do ER from backwards except for EBeast 😅, gg dude.
Congratulations on a full year. You make the game so much fun to replay and inspire me to try and make my own fun little builds. However they do not get as op as yours 😂. But I was wondering in your guides it seem to know the right time to level vigor and endurance. When I make my own builds I never really know when to pause my main stats and level my health and stamina. Is there a specific time/reason you level those two stats?
Wow! These videos make faith builds look so amazing. I've tried building my faith/strength character based off these videos. He's level 114 and does very little damage. He can't carry much weight, is slow casting, and dies so easily. I'm very disappointed in faith so far. I don't understand the point of casting when enemies can just stop it with their attacks. It's very frustrating.
You and random people who make moonveil dmc5 vergil builds are the only Elden Ring vids watch anymore, thanks for covering my favorite playstyle. MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!!!
I am a little late but I think the blue dancer charm doesn't work on incantations and spells. only works on physical build. even there, there's a percentage curve in damage. the lower the weight, the higher the damage.
Damn you. Every time I think I'm done with Elden Ring I see one of your videos and am like, hey that looks fun! But seriously love your work I've been watching you since you started and love your videos
Hi Thing, not sure if you've done a build for the weapon yet? But could you possibly do a Blasphemous Blade build? I would really appreciate it, it's my favourite weapon in the game. And I'm struggling. I've heard that it's really good at completing the game?
In consoles even skips like the one in ordina are such a colossal waste of time. I can complete the gaol faster than it takes me to get the stupid jump right. Zips is the same, even if you hit one, by the time you realize it would have been as fast to do the game as intended :) PC folks have all the fun especially if you count cheat engine so you can experiment with builds in 5 seconds.
amazing as always. One question the mushroom helmet only buffs with poison or rot in the vicinity not madness. What is the reason behind this unless your self poisoning when we didnt see.

This is by far one of the best videos I came across! It pushes me towards to go for frenzy and melt everything down😂
It took me about 15 hours to get to Ordina, but I did all the skips! Thanks so much for the guide, Im having a blast playing through this character.
You in console?
If so how did you do it?
All new footage cinematic as ever. I adore hyettas voice lines Great stuff as always man
Haven't played Elden Ring in months, still get pumped when a new build guide drops!
Love your builds. Again, your great axe build last week was a blast. I tried it and had fun even though fighting Malikith was like trying to swat a Hornet if said Hornet had bazooka instead of a stinger.
Thankyou for all the fun builds and the year of guides and insanity! I enjoy watching them repeatedly.
I mean you are the reason i still play Elden Ring so thank you very much for the last year. Keep up the great work.

Epic opening Thingfishy! I’m returning to Elden Ring after 9 months of not playing. Had to see what builds you made during my time out

Nice. I like the comment about the setup taking longer than the run. I think that's Elden Ring to a T. Not complaining. That's totally how I roll.
that one tap phase 2 fire giant was extremely satisfying to watch 😂
YES!!!!! The elden ring movie master has uploaded!!!
The wait is now over!!!!!!!!

thank you for this build video.

Finally someone promotes this incantation. The best strat against malenia. I never tried RoB but i doubt it is better

I love frenzy flame incantations in this game, very pleasing to the eyes

Very pleasing to the eyes and horrible to the ears
