If the police had investigated Charles Vallows death the way they should have, those kids could still be alive today. I still can't believe they just took their word for it after Charles contacted police multiple times before his death. It's an absolute travesty.

Lori Phillips acquittal wasn't in the least "shocking". As was said, the verdict came back quickly from the jury. Not Guilty.

This is just heartbreaking and the kids were next until she saw dollar signs in their eyes when they liked her book. That book probably saved their lives. At least bought them some time until they were older and time had passed. Then the policies would have been around awhile and somehow all those children would have died at once and she would have collected those policies. This is by far the sickest woman I have heard of. I really feel awful that her book was sold and helped children through their hard times only because she saw a need in the market for kids books about death. Once these parents found out about the author how could they just stop letting it comfort their children? It had to put so many parents in a terrible place in their head and Amazon did the right thing by not selling it anymore.
