    Paltrow trial was NOT true crime, lol. It was a civil suit. Glad she won though. It never should’ve never been allowed to go to trial. That guy had just been wanting a payout.

    Ok I don’t know the whole story, but from this video, it appears that the only “crime” Drake Bell committed was wanting to spend some time away from home and not answering his phone for one night …? Even if cops were concerned for his well-being, that’s just a wellness check. That’s not a criminal offence. Why was he trespassed from the hotel when he seemingly did absolutely nothing wrong? Wtf… leave the poor man alone

      When this was happening I was reading somewhere that they couldn't reported it bc they were still in the scientology church and he was a big influence in it I understand that part so many victims who were religious do come out and other members actually bully even threatened them and do other messy things towards the victims

    The Danny Masterson verdict really shocked me. Namely because the statue of limitations was well past and they still convicted him on something that had no evidence and it only had the hearsay of a woman who accused him of a crime and that to me is a dangerous precedent that has been set going forward

      Scientology hiding criminal evidence in “Knowledge Reports” is a dangerous precedent.

      I agree,I still can't believe they convicted him with literally no evidence 🤯

    • @lilly-uy9gq
      @lilly-uy9gq 5 месяцев назад

      1. The testimony of the victim of the crime is not hearsay 2. It doesn’t matter wether or not these women were under the influence of a substance as people under the influence cannot give proper consent. 3. There was evidence- victim’s testimony. That is considered evidence 4. The rates of false reports of this type of crime is only 2-8%. 5. Meanwhile only about 31% of cases are reported, for context 62% of assault/battery cases are reported. 6. The top reasons crimes of this nature are under reported are fear of retaliation (from the perpetrator, bosses, society etc.) shame and fear that nothing will be done because they won’t be believed, or because of a lack of evidence. That-along with victim shaming/blaming us what is truly settling a dangerous precedent. The fact that if he had beat up a man and the man later came forward after all injuries had healed we would be having a very different conversation is what sets a dangerous precedent, not survivors being taken seriously.
