I prefer to call mine LEGO compatible. I think it’s misleading to say it’s a LEGO Roller coaster and it’s disrespectful to Coaster Dynamix (CDX Blocks) to substitute their name with the word “LEGO” - It’s just my opinion

Great Video as always! I wonder why Lego hasn't built an "official coaster?" ("Friends" doesn't count lol) It seems that customers and fans have been asking for coasters since the early 70s. It just seems odd why they wouldn't have developed one in 50 years. Any ideas?

jonnycatland1987 if you look at the whole build, it's more than 51% Lego. Using aftermarket/third party parts for me is not an issue if the parts are quality products and Lego does not produce it.

It's no different than using aftermarket weapons, custom print mini figures, or painting/dyeing parts, none of which I personally use. There is another Lego rollercoaster using train tracks that was built last year....that build has melted parts to get the effect, and it jumps the tracks often....in a nice way, is it OK to alter Lego but not use third party. I had to ask myself that question several times, as I was a Lego purist. But when Lego does not produce parts or a system that will allow you to create what you want, that's when I decided that I just wanted to build without limitations, and CDX allowed me to do just that. I fully support the Cyclone kit and many purists have to. I support your view and like your comment, but when I build, I have to be more Lego than not.

Don't worry dude, sticking exclusively to official LEGO parts is a silly limitation, especially when LEGO themselves often make unique parts for their own official sets. So long as most of the built is LEGO or LEGO-compatible bricks the challenge is still there and it's all good.
