I think a great idea would be to put clear plexiglass all around the build like a box and then run a smoke machine inside it so the city would fill up with fog. Spray it with water. And possibly run it in the dark with tons of leds.
LEDs and smoke is a good idea, but water isn't the best thing to use with Legos and electronics. If you wanted a rain effect, maybe put a lot of tiny beads of hot glue inside the Plexiglas.
Yeah it's available at your local target for $5000... but you need a pallet jack to move it from the store to the parking lot. And the instruction booklet weighs 300 lbs.
Mackey Whaleboy that sentence doesn’t make sense You said it’s one of the coolest lego cities in forever so Actually you haven’t seen a Lego city before until you seen this video
This is probably my favorite city build so far, the futuristic feel, all the different colors going on, and the shipping container building is awesome! I love seeing builds like this.
Great mix of industrial and organic "junkyard" scavenger feel. Believable feeling that tells a story without needing to be explained. One of the best builds I've ever seen. Really awesome.
My goodness. This is the best and most fun looking Lego fan build I have ever seen. It deserves to become a multi-year Lego theme. I'd be unable not to play with it.
Unbelievably gorgeous. I would challenge anyone to find me a better looking city layout build. Everything about this looks like Lego could have designed and released this in sets.
This is like the most funky, nice and detailed thing I've ever seen made of Lego. Imagine this would be in a computer game. Also like the trains much and how the tracks are just everywhere.
I absolutely love this It is so creative and has so many small details that make it so much better It looks like a mashup of Blade Runner, Ready Player One, and Ghost in the Shell I only wish my mom was this into Lego
Absolutely amazing, they make stunning displays with fantastic attention to detail. I'm going to watch this over and over. Thanks guys for taking the time to show us these mocs.
@1:48 and thats how Taris was made. Or Narshadaa or Coruscant. You could in theory take that awesome Up town down town creation, add some spaceships hanging above, add some gliders in the streets and some droids, and voila its a perfect SW themed city diorama.
I have watched a ton of custom Lego builds and cities and this may be my favorite of all time. AMAZING JOB!!! I absolutely love the attention to detail and the cyberpunk dystopian Bladerunner type feel. I would love to know which sets they turned to in order to get some of those pieces. I will have to follow this mother-son team.
I just keep watching this over and over and I am so blown away by the attention to details and the creativity. Every square inch feels lived in and real. Can I see this anywhere?
In regards to the dynamite.. farmers in the mid west used to be able to pick it up at the general store, useful for blowing apart giant field rocks that couldn't be removed any other way, so i'd say its on point! :D
What really made this great was the street level, you should have gotten a small camera and get a shoot from the street to the top of the skyline. Thats how capture a cyberpunk setting.
I love how she has a story behind everything. I do this as well. I hate when there is no backstory behind creations, it removes a level from the depth.
Scavenger look isn't as easy to make so believable. It's so well integrated into the 20th century architecture and post modern industrial minimalist of the upper city. The whole thing seems like it would be a natural evolution of social and economic development.

These people have so much creative energy and it flows into just doing fun stuff with Lego. That's awesome.
The container stack is really a highlight. Building chaos is not easy.
This is one of the greatest Lego Cities I have ever seen. Amazing job!
It's pretty sweet that this kid and his mom bond this way, and have similar interests towards what they wanted to build.
I think a great idea would be to put clear plexiglass all around the build like a box and then run a smoke machine inside it so the city would fill up with fog. Spray it with water. And possibly run it in the dark with tons of leds.
Water and electricity? Yeah, great idea, what can go wrong... ;)
And: Lego is not watertight, you may end up flooding the whole exhibition ;)
Yes to more leds and smoke!
LEDs and smoke is a good idea, but water isn't the best thing to use with Legos and electronics. If you wanted a rain effect, maybe put a lot of tiny beads of hot glue inside the Plexiglas.
This is the COOLEST set I have seen in a long time.
It’s not a set
Yeah it's available at your local target for $5000... but you need a pallet jack to move it from the store to the parking lot. And the instruction booklet weighs 300 lbs.
This is one of the coolest looking cities I’ve seen in forever

Broguy 22 ikr

If LEGO makes Ready Player One sets, they should add the characters to this layout
yes totally!
My thoughts exactly!
My mom looks at me like she lost all hope, everytime a new Lego Set is presented in my living room...
This build is so crazy! the amount of detail and work went into this is amazing! probably the best lego build I've ever seen!!!!
Amazing set with beautiful monorail system. I love the theme and details.
I can't get enough of that graffiti. It's so well-done, especially when it takes into account the texture of the wall "beneath" the "paint."
Love the little lights and details! Wow!
WOW. This build really deserves the time of the video
Wow this is one of the best lego cities ive seen.. def got the blade runner feel. Awesome.

I can't get enough of this super cool MOCs. Love the originality and little details that make it come to life.
So cool that your family does this together! Really love the Ready Player One section.
Great mix of industrial and organic "junkyard" scavenger feel. Believable feeling that tells a story without needing to be explained. One of the best builds I've ever seen. Really awesome.
I love it when they tell a story. You could make movies with this stuff.
My goodness. This is the best and most fun looking Lego fan build I have ever seen. It deserves to become a multi-year Lego theme. I'd be unable not to play with it.
I love the optimism of this reporter...amazing! keep up the fantastic job!
Unbelievably gorgeous. I would challenge anyone to find me a better looking city layout build. Everything about this looks like Lego could have designed and released this in sets.
It’s so nice how him and (what I’m guessing to be his mom) built this together. It reminds me of when my mom and I used to build LEGO sets together.
This is such a creative build, not to mention all the colors and how fun it's to look around at it. It's really interesting and original.
This is like the most funky, nice and detailed thing I've ever seen made of Lego. Imagine this would be in a computer game. Also like the trains much and how the tracks are just everywhere.
This is beyond cool! This mother-son team rocks! Good way to bond, too!
This is my favourite moc ever
Just can't stop thinking about the value of the monorail-pieces...
I like the way they made the little bridge in the garden, it's so smart
1138 in orange on the side of the building was a cool Easter Egg that mom never mentioned.... But definitely a very subliminal nod to dystopian films!
This is bound to be one of the most amazing LEGO creations I've ever seen.
in love with this build I wish my mom was this cool!
This thing was one of the best and fantastic moc ever seen
I absolutely love this
It is so creative and has so many small details that make it so much better
It looks like a mashup of Blade Runner, Ready Player One, and Ghost in the Shell

i personally think that cyberpunk needs to be built much more often on this scale...it looks amazing
This is friggin awesome!
Coolest Lego build i have ever seen.
A LEGO cyberpunk theme would be so rad
