    Best roller coaster Ive ever seen. It uses only Lego existing parts, the carts are awesome and the whole mechanics of it are a beautiful work of engineering! I loved it!

    5:46, 6:00 that’s me in the background with the train t-shirt. Guys, this guy was so cool. He brought his Roller Coaster in during setup right next to me, and I was in awe at the size of his amazing creation. I had never seen anything like it. He said that this was the first time he had had it at a convention in 9 years. Everyone loved it. It brought in crowds, and little kids screamed in joy when it dropped down the slope 😂. I kinda liked have the crowd gatherer near my display so it would attract people lol. Btw Josh I think I was the guy who recommended interviewing him, but you probably saw it before I told you. Again, super nice guy. In the end, he won Second Best in show

    What a marvel, and I'm even more impressed with how generous and humble the creator is; he doesn't come off as overly protective/possessive of his work. What a great AFOL. I am truly inspired!

    My neighbor brought home a Lego railroad kit that had that track when they came home from Europe in the mid to late 70's. I wanted to get a set for myself but couldn't find it anywhere till I saw it on the computer in probably 2010. My friends Lego kit was a brand new kit only offered in Europe and through special order from what I was told. That coaster is supper awesome!

    Technically I'd think the spiral around the dragon wouldn't be legal either, otherwise it would just be a closed circle of thrain tracks.
    They'd need to be inclined seperately and would have a slight misalignment at the joins which may be dangerous for the passengers.

    KNEX is a much better medium to build coasters, but this is amazing. It must be a challenge to transport.

    • @alexlubbers1589
      @alexlubbers1589 6 лет назад +6

      Agreed. KNEX are better for large mechanical things like ball machines ( my specialty), roller coasters, and other works like that. Lego is great for photorealism, but this is just a work of art.

    • @GMoney-B

      Rip screaming serpent knex coaster... that was THE best one ever made for the consumer market. Track and trains were decent size. They actually had trains. And you could literally do anything and any kind of track maneuvers you can think of. I had about 7 sets too. So fantastic. Tons of people still build them and include LEGO mindstorm controllers, motors, and pneumatics. Was sooo much fun.

      Picobit how are the flexi rods? That was one of the reasons I thought of selling mine was because I figured they would not hold up with time and thought I should sell them to someone else to enjoy while they last.
