Dr Dray has truly been a gamechanger for me. I get the same feeling when I watch your videos, nobody is trying to sell me anything or get me to consume, but rather choose wisely and stay simple ❤️.
Dr. Dray is great. A no nonsense channel with worthwhile information and science to back it up. I learn so much from listening to her. Like a trip to the dermatologist.....for free. So glad you are recommending her, Audrey.
Great video! On a trip to Arizona I met a tour guide whose wise saying was, "as soon as I've stopped having fun, I know I'm dehydrated." He said the residents there know all too well about the effects of the dry desert sucking the moisture right out of our bodies fast. He said people will just instantly drop to the ground because they haven't been drinking enough. It's so important.
This was truly refreshing to see because lately I've been feeling very bombarded with products and active ingredients on the market, especially when everyone claims its the miracle product! It brings me so much joy to finally see your routine because I've always admired your skin. Simplicity is Luxury. I've seen people who have used tons of products and then their skin has accelerated aging, sometimes your routine just needs to consist of the basics, that a fundamental principle of the japanese, along with their famous fermented foods, hydration and exercise like you mentioned. On the other hand, your video was very helpful to bring clarity to my mind!
Thank you, Audrey. It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. Your delivery is just amazing. My tip for glowing skin is drinking lemon juice every morning. It is a liver tonic and as you know the liver clears toxins from the body. And the lemon purges the liver. You will notice the effects almost immediately. It will give you that shin from within to your skin. I have been doing it for the last 20 years and I could not live without it. Other than that I recommend that whatever you find that works for you, to do it regulatly and consistently. That is how you get results for your skin.
Good video. I'm in my 60's and have used high-end and other products through the years. A few years ago I made a commitment to cruelty free beauty products - you can find everything you need to suit your skin needs - the options are growing larger by the day as manufacturers are changing due to client demand.
@@tinekejoldersma Einstein was also an outlier in terms of his level of brilliance. Most people haven’t tapped into that, so I wouldn’t use him as a good comparison, though I think 7 to 9 is a bit much.
Lovely video as always. As an older subscriber, I can attest that consistency in our skin care is the best thing we can do for our skin. Never go to bed without cleansing your face. Always listen to your skin. As we age and change our skin care may need to change as well. I’ve been enjoying several Drunk Elephant products over the past 3 years. At 59 I get compliments on my skin often. Aging gracefully with diet and skin care starts when you are young. Thank you for sharing Audrey.
The acceptance of things I cannot change , the avoidance of stressful situations & problematic people, plus a simplistic daily skin routine have worked wonders for my completxtion. 56 yo and I have the best skin of my life!
so bizarre seeing a RUclipsr I go to for style advice sudenly talk about skincare (it's a topic I'm personally involved in off-YT haha)! always in love with your voice and clarity, Audrey :) and I love that hairstyle on you!
I recently had an appointment with a dermatologist for my 29th birthday and came to just about the same routine! Cetaphil bar soap, clindamycin, La Roche Posay sunscreen moisturizer, Retin-A, and Cerave PM! Time will tell as far as results go, but it's nice to have a simple routine and not have to guess on expensive products anymore!
I also like La Roche Posay products, and I find I get good results using Avene products. I regularly use both in my routine, and I have used them for the last few years.
You look particularly beautiful with your hair like that as it does emphasize your glowing skin. Thanks for focusing on the principles and not the name brands of the products. My skin gets me underestimated several years. Cleanse/gentle exfoliation - moisturize - protect and the three big ones!
Hi Audrey! I’ve been watching you for ages and even though our styles are quite different you’ve inspired me to start my own channel on conscious fashion and styling! Thanks and keep up the amazing work! ❤️
I love the blazer, tee-shirt combo, the casual tousled up-do, and simple gold hoop earrings. Very French! And thank you for promoting a simple, effective skincare routine and catering products to your own needs instead of trying to sell a bunch of products (not that this is your style anyway). I finally started listening to the experts and keeping it simple, and my skin is as good as it's ever been.
Whenever I see you , I can’t get the words “so classy and elegant “ out of my mind !! I LOVE your sense of style and demeanor ! Wish I had even a fraction of your ability and talent to look the way you do all the while remaining down to earth. ❤️
You are so right . I think the main problem with skin is that so many people do not get a good diet. One needs the fruit and vegetables and good oils to get good skin.
I’ve been anticipating this video forever! I love how you keep things simple and never play into gimmicks in anything you do. This is such a trustworthy channel! I know that one day I’d love to see a video on how to adjust your wardrobe when moving to a new climate- I know a lot of people going through that right now (myself included- going from the southwest to New England is a big jump 😬) You put out such great content- I can’t wait to see what you do next!
I never really do much for my skin. Which is what has lead me to question my routine. In the morning I wash with a cleanser from Pacifica. Either I use Pineapple or the Kale. And when my face is extra oily I use Thayers facial toner. I finish my cleansing with sunblock. I use Purito Centella Green Level Unscented. I love this product. It does not leave any white cast. I don’t wear make up since the Covid so I don’t really need to do mask or peel at night. I do drink fruit infused water. I make sure I always have different fruits. I prefer berries, coconut, and Guanabana, I am going to watch the RUclipsrs you recommended. It will be helpful.
So glad I found your channel. At night, without fail, I always use nivea cream under my eyes, my forehead and eyelids and swear by it! I’m 45 but look 25. Love your videos! 😀
audrey, scarf sos!! 😂I have watched all of your videos and have added scarf to my wardrobe. i shopped online for vintage scarf, and i can't stop thinking about it and even dream about scarves!!😭😭 the design is so classy and versatile, and they fit my colour palette 😭 now 1) how do i stop scarf addiction, and 2) how often you wash scarf and how, 3) what cloth is suitable for a scarf on the neck? (turtle neck? boat neck, formal collar, asian round collar, tees, etc), how loose or close to the neck for each collar/cloth types? help😭😭 thank you so much 😭💖 ps: I'm sorry i repost my comment here, but i hope you will see this 😭
I am new here, and I am realy happy that I found this channel! You are so sympathic and ... soft! The way you smile and speak and even your style! I realy like that is so simpel and still looks so good! Thank you!
What I do is, right before I leave the shower, I turn the water to cold and quickly rinse for a couple of minutes to stimulate the skin blood circulation. This may be painful for most of the people, but I am loving the cold water stimulation in these hot sweaty days!
I used to spend a lot of money on expensive creams and have found that I now only use CeraVe moisturizers (love the PM) and their Hyaluronic Acid, Eucerin Intensive Repair Lotion for my body after my shower and Clarins SPF 50 (my husband loves the Shiseido SPF Lotion because it is smoother to apply). I also use prescription Retin-A at night (which is the only thing that is expensive) and people often ask me what I use to keep my skin so clear and with few wrinkles and they can't believe it is pharmacy over the counter products. I've taught my daughters and son (men need this too), who are in their 30s, to start early with using daily SPF (it's a mantra at our house) and moisturizers and eventually Retin-A (I don't recommend it if you are of child bearing age).
Your tips are so helpful Audrey. I definitely made the amateur mistake of trying a lot of new products at once and my skin certainly let me know that it was not happy with the changes. You are so right that less is more.
Good morning Audrey, thank you for an excellent video! Your information and direction for turning to the experts and emphasizing over and over again to identity what is best for us are pieces of advice that are certainly appreciated! Your logic, sensibility and practicality rule! Stay safe! 🇨🇦
My prescription Retin-A is one product l wouldn't go without! CeraVe skin care products line is what l use and Coppertone Pure and Simple sunscreen each and every day cloudy or sunny.
If you are looking for a good active for morning times, I can recommend you look into Niacinamide, since you have an oily t-zone. It is supposed to be good for controlling oil production, and The Ordinary has a good one I hear lots of dermatologists talk about. If you want a Vitamin C, I can personally reccomend Timeless Vitamin C +E+Ferulic Acid. It has L- Ascorbic Acid, with lots of evidentiary support to show it works, and is cost effective. My skin is brighter, and it also helps with hyper-pigmentation. I would start out every other day, after cleansing, and before moisturizer.
I also love Dr. Davin Lim here on RUclips ☺️ I used to have soooo many skincare products, but now I only use Cerave Cream and Tretinoin 👍 Paulas choice is also a very good Option.
A really good night time moisturizing “sealer” is basic vegetable glycerin. It’s lighter than castor oil and works very similarly. I buy it from Whole Foods. It’s very inexpensive and works well.
Hi Audrey, first of all thank you so much for sharing your skincare routine again, last month I watched your previous skincare routine video from there I have minimise down my skincare products from 11 to 7 products, and i notice my skin have improved drastically since then, I really appreciate your adviced and will continue doing so, as always loving all your videos, Stay save and take care. 🥰😘
I have been using coconut oil to moisturise my skin and to remove make up too. You are correct with less is more cause it works for me too. Eating healthy, exercising, drinking water and using sunscreen are the best ways to be honest. And oh, stick to products that only works for your skin and use it forever. Haha
I’ve been focusing on “clean” products for skin care products (including makeup). I’m currently using a few items from the Drunk Elephant line. Like you, I’ve focused on just a simple routine using cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreen, and a couple “specific use” items in the case of specific needs dictated by my skin. Happy with simplicity. And castor oil is part of my line up too! Very happy with its results.
I follow Dr Dray. According to her eye creams are part of marketing and washing face in morning isn't necessary unless you're spot washing problematic acne areas with salicylic acid cleanser. Creams/lotions for face are fine for under eyes. Her skin care advice is by far the optimal on youtube.

Sensible and effective! The DHC oil is my HG! If you're looking for a morning active, you may like Timeless C+Ferrulic. It's reasonable, and I find it helps smooth and brighten my skin. Also, the DRMTLGY sunscreens are quite good :)
There are a few things that I think we all could benefit from knowing about skincare. One is that we don't take enough time cleansing! Taking a full 60 seconds is a great idea. Another is, we have a tendency to not use enough of a product for it to have a chance to work on our skin. Knowing this has caused me to start using too much, haha, you'll know if you have trust me! Then you will be able to find the right amount from there. As far as treatment routines go, the best advice I think is out there right now is to use Vitamin C during the day, and acids at night. Retin-A, retinol, other vitamin A and Beta Hydroxy acid (like salicylic acid) should mainly be used at night. If you do use them during the day, use a LOT of sunscreen! You can layer Alpha and Beta Hydroxy acids, use the Beta first as it penetrates pores & deals with oily skin, and then apply the Alpha. Right now, I am using Paula's Choice 4% Bha in the mornings and AF Adapalene Gel (a retinoid acne medicine formerly Rx only) as I am trying to get rid of some problems with plugged pores. Interestingly, the Adapalene was recommended by a dermatologist over retinol products as it has clinical proof of efficacy, whereas retinol doesn't have the clinical proof that it's cousin Retin-A does & Retin-A is Rx only. I use Canna Cell cleansing foam, Canna Cell Sun Buddy, and have just trialed TruSkin's C serum with hyaluronic acid. It was a good serum and the hyaluronic acid helps with moisture retention. I just today tried their Daily Facial Moisturizer with Vitamin C and B5. Among other ingredients, it has glycerine which is a proven humectant. I also use Andalou's Willow Bark Pure Pore Toner. I have used several products from Andalou Naturals - they make the Canna Cell line - and all are really nice and cruelty free. I too have sensitive skin, and their line with rose extract is very soothing.
Thanks Audrey for this (and all your other) video/s:-). I have a routine that is a little bit different. My skin is also sensitive/reactive and now aging 🙈 I never wash my face in the morning. I worked in the cosmetic industry for years and we don't recommend removing the sebum that protects the skin in the morning. Instead I use a toner (alcohol free☝️). It is always good to use a toner before applying cream as it will get absorbed better. Kind of like body moisturiser straight after a shower. I also apply eye cream before face cream. And yes, there is a difference between the two. The skin around the eyes is much thinner, and needs a cream with smaller molecules to absorb better.😊
Great video. I will look up the dermatologist videos - that sounds good. I use a number of Paula’s Choice products for many of the reasons you stated - unfragranced, factually presented, clear what the active ingredients are, good value for money. The range includes good antioxidant serums if you want to add one to your morning routine. There is lots of information on the Paula’s Choice website to help you choose.
I am 50 years old with sensitive, acne prone skin that has some hyperpigmentation. I take oral medication to control my hormonal breakouts but I continued to struggle with redness, irritation and acne. Kept trying different products to even and brighten my skin tone. I finally stopped everything and started using La Roche Posay Toleriane products exclusively. My skin barrier is repaired and my skin hasn’t looked this good in years. The only non LRP product I use is the Elta MD clear sunscreen. Less is more, “natural” is not always better, and ingredients like Vitamin C are not for everyone. Oh - I also use the LRP Hyaluronic acid serum.
I'm like not a very dedicated person when it comes to skincare but thanks to your simple tips, I can try to start a routine , without fearing much. Thanks. ❤
Hello Audrey, I found you via a friend and your Look Good on Video Calls RUclips. I love your gentle openness and how you present the information. Thanks for helping simplify an often confusing topic. I like to help people think about their skin care routine steps as Cleanse, Correct, Hydrate and Protect (UV protection during the day). That helps to group all the different product options based on function. I subscribed and look forward to what you create going forward. Lovely channel.
From a nutrition perspective there is such a thing as overdosing on water but if my memory serves me well from my nutrition days, it takes about 6-8 gallons and a problem with expelling fluids through liquid waste for that to happen!
Didn't know you were singer I love singing I was in performance art for two year it was so inspired moving love corrinne my friend I do look after my skin use different one s skin product s as well
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on skin care. Your look is gorgeous as well. Whilst I’m listening, I am sitting thinking, where is my white round neck t shirt, and what blazer can I wear it with 😂😘✨💖💫🇬🇧
I highly recommend the brand Derma E. Their products are natural and cruelty-free, and they're also very affordable compared to a lot of other skincare products. I especially really like their anti-acne cleanser and vitamin C moisturizer.
My skincare routine is very similar to yours. I too have sensitive/reactive skin and am plagued with seasonal allergies - I have an allergy for every season lol. The only thing I do differently is in the morning, after cleansing and my skin is damp I use the Paula’s Choice Ultralight Antioxidant serum - one pump for my face, one pump for neck and chest. I apply before sunscreen, it’s a moisturizing serum, so I skip a separate moisturizer. I use a moisturizing sunscreen too. I use the CVS dupe for CeraVe AM. I love the CeraVe PM but the AM pills. The CVS dupe is actually a nicer, spreads evenly and doesn’t pill (spf 30).
Hi Preston, a good daytime active, especially for under your sunscreen, is an antioxidant such as vitamin C. There are some really good ones on the market, but it depends on your budget and your preference In terms of of the formula: The Ordinary do a powder formula that you can mix with other serums, for example. My favourite ones which are not too expensive are: Timeless 20% vitamin C, ferulic acid and vitamin E; Paula’s Choice C15 súper booster and Garden of Wisdom Vitamin C + Ferulic (I’m not sure if this last one is only available in the UK/Europe). Hope you find something that works for you!
My routine is quite similar to yours, Audrey. I have been using a RetinA cream at night for years and would never want to stop using the product. In addition as recommended by my dermatologist I use a Vitamin C cream during the day. La Roche-Posay has a good Redermic C10 product. Many thanks for your videos.
You always make my days brighter and my smile sparkle️ How can I get gorgeous skin like you? Your charm is irresistible!! You look energetic. You have a great smile.
I had been struggling with sensitive/reactive skin for years. I followed a dermatologist's advice to cleanse your face only in the evenings (I just splash flower water in the mornings) and it has been working for me really well. My skin isn't as dry anymore (yes, I have sensitive dry skin type). As my active product I started using nanoil anti-redness serum twice a day. It actually does what it claims to do. I know I sound like an ad troll but I hope this may help some of you too

Ma'am your voice😍😍😍 oh my god I can hear it for whole day 😀😀😀😂😂.
Thankyou your all videos are really helpful 👍🏼.
Her voice is like a sound massage to my ears
@@Losshe yeah you are right👍🏼
Thanks Audrey for this (and all your other) video/s:-).
I have a routine that is a little bit different. My skin is also sensitive/reactive and now aging 🙈
I never wash my face in the morning.
So much info. Thank you Audrey. Loved the video ❤️💛
I have been using CeraVe for years along with peptides. Very good advice & video 😊
This was a wonderful, informative video! Thank you Audrey :)
Audrey you look radiant!!! You're such an inspiration!!
I'm like not a very dedicated person when it comes to skincare but thanks to your simple tips, I can try to start a routine , without fearing much. Thanks. ❤
I swear by the Toleriane line! It has done wonders for my skin.
Love your channel!! Thank you for your elegance! Please bring more videos on this topic and makeup routines. Thank you!❤️
This was perfect timing as I was looking for a fragrance free rich moisturizer and cleansing oil. Ordered two of your faves!
I am one of those who asked for this video. Thank you Audrey. Insightful.
From a nutrition perspective there is such a thing as overdosing on water but if my memory serves me well from my nutrition days, it takes about 6-8 gallons and a problem with expelling fluids through liquid waste for that to happen!
What is your take on using Gua Sha or Jade/Rose Quartz rollers? 😊
I agree with the less is more skin care tips.
I love your cropped white t shirt. Where did you buy yours from?
Thank you! Your skin is so lovely! 😁
Huge Dr. Dray fan right here! She helped me save my skin.
Hi Audrey, try Paula's Choice Power Berry Serum as active for your morning routine. I think you may like it.
Didn't know you were singer I love singing I was in performance art for two year it was so inspired moving love corrinne my friend I do look after my skin use different one s skin product s as well
i absolutely love your take on this and your recommendations!!
A ponytail style along with side bangs looks stunning on you. You look like someone you would bump into on the streets of Paris ♥️
My skincare routine is very similar to yours, simple and effective. I’m also interested in using an active in the morning. Any recommendations?
Love the grey blazer.
I would love to hear you sing a song !!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Me too! 🎵💙
Can you do a makeup routine video too please? You’re an olive like me :).
I love your voice its really soothing
Thank you so much. I ordered a sunscreen and face wash.
The piano riff at the beginning was very Mr. Rogers. You're sweet and have a calming voice, you could be the new Miss Rogers.
You always make my days brighter and my smile sparkle️ How can I get gorgeous skin like you? Your charm is irresistible!! You look energetic. You have a great smile.
Thank you so much! Sending you so much love and a great big hug xx

Off-topic but this early 90s Female CEO look is TOPSS!!! Loveeee!!!
Ahhh thank you!!!
