Might be worth mentioning when doing work with the a-pillar some cars will have airbags in them, so need to be careful of that and also when routing the cable to not get in the way of it.
Pro tip - to find out if you have an airbag there, you can either try to find the "airbag" sign OR you can go ahead with the build and if you hear a big BANG and wake up in the hospital sometime later - there was an airbag:d

10 amp fuse is a bit high for a dash cam, 2 or 5 amp would suffice just fine. also no point having two fuses in the blade spur if your putting it into a blank. 1 other tip, always attach negative first before your live.
Be careful to check which way round you plug the piggyback fuse holder into the fuse box or you could end up with the dashcam usb connector being connected directly to the 'hot'/12v side without being protected by the fuse.

There is no need to completely remove the trim on the A pillar. It is just unnecessary effort and if you are not careful may break those fastener tabs. You can just pry one side loose and gently insert the wire on the small opening gap especially if your car's A pillar is housing a side curtain air bags.
quick question, why didn't you strip the USB cable in order to reveal its black/red cables and then just hardwire those into the fuse box? This avoids having to use a new cigarette plug.
Be careful when you remove the left panel as you may trigger the airbag. Also, I don't think it's called "hardwire" as you still need to turn on ACC to start the dash cam.
just one problem with this setup - USB cables tend to have a lot of resistance - I for instance cant get my devices working properly on cables 1m +.. With this cable, my phone would not even start charging:) But a dashcam could in my opinion, they run on lower power requirements ..
I’m gonna hardwire my cam in...but to an always live slot...can use it as cctv for the car...just set the dash cam into motion detect 👍🏼...only uses very low voltage so won’t effect the battery at all...thanks for the vid!!!

Why didn't the dashcam power on when I applied 12v directly?
To high voltage, dashcams run off about 5v.

Check cheap CHINA fuses as some don’t blow and damage circuit.

well it's hardwired considering it's not using a cigarette lighter plug that can be taken in and out whenever.

Check the specs there is an issue with dashcams being bricked from being constantly powered
