- How to install a smart hardwiring kit for dashcam to enable the parking monitor feature. I show you how to completely install this kit for the Rexing V5 modular dash cam, although it’s the same process on all other models as well. The install is in my 2020 Subaru STI, but can be adapted for any car model.

Absolutely brilliant. I never thought about which way round the fuse should be inserted but it is so obvious 🙄. Articulate and clear and no music to listen through. The advice about the use of the multi meter makes the job far easier.

Excellent video and explanation of the fuse testing! I would only add that if you're removing the trim pillar on a car with curtain airbags, you should disconnect the battery and wait for 10 minutes first.
Thanks for the video. 👍 I think you vid is the best in terms of not having shaky video shot, step-by-step and explanation on which fuse slot to use, how to determine the orientation of fuse should be inserted. Many videos out there are missing the last 2 illustrations above-mentioned.

They wana me to make appointment to plug the three wires, cause I already have done all the wires passed through. So it was almost done, I only have doubt to connect the three wires to the painel box. And you did very good, all details that I was needing. Thank you so much, for your time to make the video.

Thanks for the video. Well Done and detailed comments with good video at same time. I wanted to order a Rexing with parking mode but was holding off because my concern about hardwiring in my new 2020 SUV as I was worried that doing a hard wire may jeopardize any warranty issues that could happen if I hard wired incorrectly. Your video and explanation showed how easy and simple it is to do correctly; thus I can move forward on ordering the Rexing dash cam. Again, great job and thank you very much.

In their defense I haven't had that problem post-install. I think as long as you have a strong, healthy battery that won't be an issue.
