  • Hey everybody! We have gotten a few new followers recently and wanted to put together this progress video for a condensed version of events. It has also been humid to the point where sanding the primer back to 320 grit is next to impossible. Any way we hope you enjoy the look back!

    I have binge watched everyone of your videos (once I found them) to get caught up, I have loved every video and was happy to see a 'Over All' so far video. I had forgotten some of your trials, tribulations and awesome successes so far! It is amazing how far you have come and done. Be proud both of you.

    Huh, so it's like a stitch-and-glue building method without the stitching. Must've been tricky manhandling those long pieces, oh my... In any case it is cool to see that foam core layup of something that ends up having compound curves can be done without a mold or vacuum bagging!

      Where did you get your glass? I'm having trouble finding roles that are long enough

    • @BuildingMVDauntless
      @BuildingMVDauntless  3 года назад

      We sourced most of our materials including rolls of glass from Jamestown distributers. They may not show everything on the website but if you call I’m sure they can point you in the right direction.

    Hi interesting project guys, big challenge but your nailing it. The foam core is a surprise to me, what is the fibreglass schedule, ie what are they suggesting in layers and weight to strengthen up the foam.

    • @BuildingMVDauntless
      @BuildingMVDauntless  3 года назад

      The basic panels are glassed with 1000gm of glass on each side (duflex panels are sold with the kit). After assembling, the hulls are reinforced with more layers. Unfortunately I can’t go into the details much more as it is proprietary information.
