The tilt typing in chat and lack of teamwork was so egregious that the Sombra lost two points by waiting to *successfully* spawn camp for most of game. That is pretty funny. 😂
This is why as a Sombra, I advocate against spawn camping. It feels more effective than it actually is.
@@Ontarianmm it shouldn’t be the only thing you do, but it is definitely something to consider and quite strong. For example, If i/my team kill mercy I won’t immediately leave the fight to go and wait for her. I’ll do some more chip damage, assess the situation and see if anyone else is killable, etc, and then after that go and meet her half way back or so from spawn. Like in my head I’m always timing when people are respawning. Also if my team got a early pick but then we quickly lose two (ie we’ve lost the team fight) then, depending on who the pick we got is, I’m strongly going to consider just backing to their spawn in order to get ahead of the next team fight, and then running back when my team get back.
Sombra always makes me tilted (unless one's on my team, then they're either hard feeding for kills for no reason, or just absolutely fiending and destroying the other team and making things fun for me on tank or as the other DPS, and little to no in-between).
See I do the second and then the other dps on my team complains I don't have 10k damage like them when they are on torb or Bastion

That Sombra really got into his head. He got off of the point because he knew Sombra was in the back. But instead of evaluating the situation and seeing that his team had it handled, he wanted to get a lick in. Him and the Sombra definitely had choice words.
Also, he needs to work on tunnel vision. He stares at people below HP who are nowhere near him. And he heals when he isn't even in range of healing. There is a lot for him to work on.
strangely enough, there was almost no conversation with sombra in the chat lol it was all between me and the dps that got me tilted in the first place.

As a support main when I’m struggling with a sombra I try not to isolate and stick with my team super close, not expose my back as much as possible, and ping like crazy… sometimes people will pay attention and help or the sombra will go for someone else and I help that has been the best solution lately rather than 1v1
as a sombra main, that's suchh a good way to get me to back off scared and have to swap my playstyle. i also find that duos are way harder to handle than someone out on their own, even like two squishies... esp if it's two supports sticking close to each other and farther from their team, i have a bad habit of overextending to try and pick them off and then i get my entire ass kicked since i can't easily focus one target in that situation lmao
Getting real close to your teammate’s helps a lot, saying this as someone who plays support and has played sombra
Gaining the ability to react to her and be able to duel her is more important than just trying to avoid her, playing more with your team can put you in worst positions if your team doesn’t have good position and doesn’t allow for having multiple angles of attack on the enemy team, yes a Sombra on the other team means you have to be more mindful of how isolated you are but it doesn’t also mean you have to let her dictate your positioning, you can effectively deal with Sombra without sacrificing good positioning or angles
I usually just swap to brig and beat the crap out of them until they swap
As a dps main who is a sombra enjoyer playing her basically shows you how to counter her. There are exceptions, but generally as soon as you are aware the enemy has a sombra, make sure that your team is grouped up, so that when she dives someone, you can be quickly helped to not die from burst dmg. I try to make sure my back is facing a wall whenever possible, and keep checking hallways/off-angle corners, etc . As support, glue yourself to the other support and jump her together when she attacks or at least help each other sustain, sombra doesn’t like 1v2s so if she can’t kill you in 5 secs she’ll leave. The worst part though is the mental game you play with the sombra, paranoia is an incredible weapon, and if you tilt it’s over as she LIVES to tilt people so if you feed into her messing with you she’ll only make it worse. Skill trumps all though, nothing to worry about if you can just win the 1v1, but smart sombras try to make sure you’re caught off guard

Honestly its not the Sombra that usually tilts me.. its my team.. Constant pings but no one pays attention. Its easy to counter her if you have help - its very rare to see a Sombra stay in a 2v1

i said it in another comment, but i was genuinely so tilted that i literally forgot how to do anything except press w on that second round. after that i was still in recovery mode so i was struggling more than i usually do. but im glad i can be a source of education at least 😂😂

*Stop throwing heal orbs at the ground*
Almost every time the sombra killed you while spawncamping you was because you threw your orb straight down, and got practically nothing of value from it because it almost immediately goes up into the air away from you
Throw it to the side, throw it at an angle *towards* the ground so it bounces, but *stop throwing it straight down.* Preferably you throw it at a nearby wall to get even more value from it, but in a situation like this, just throwing it in the direction you're already facing and continuing in that direction with the orb is leagues better than basically just throwing the heal orb away because it bounces off the floor straight to the skybox. You're not even giving yourself a chance against that Sombra because of the lack of healing you're providing yourself
Also, in general, you do need to be a bit better with orbs. It's easy for them to get value, and it's easy for them to fly away unpredictably, but there were a lot of orbs that just weren't aimed well, or just thrown in the general area of your target hoping it'll work. For heal orbs, just try and keep them with your team, don't throw them in a way where they'll jsut fly off in the enemy team, try and make them stay within where your team currently is or will be. For damage orbs, try and predict where the enemy will be and throw it in that area, instead of throwing it where they currently are (unless you're super close or in a small room)
Orbs can provide MASSIVE value and improving with them alone will help you a ton
thanks for the advice but i only lost one heal orb from sombra spawncamping, the others were intentionally thrown toward my team not for myself. and the one i did throw for myself, i threw too quickly and as a reflex from being used to bouncing it around in a smaller area instead of in an open air choke point 😂
my orbs this game were much sloppier than usual bc of how tilted i got, but i appreciate the advice.
orb aim is like... 90% of moira skill. Learning how to make and orb leave a fight and bounce back later in the fight to win it is when you start feeling like a big brain moira lol

@@Battleress2 there were several times you threw a heal orb (or tried to) straight at the ground and you died pretty much every time you did that. It wasn’t just when the sombra was spawn camping.
Sometimes I feel like Flats and Emongg are vastly overestimating how good Gold or Plat players are.

as a sombra main, if you’re getting tilted by a sombra or nervous that a sombra will get you, hug your team or support and it will be 10 times harder to kill you. but even then, a good sombra will just attempt to get your cool-downs out even if they don’t secure a kill. but that’s better than chasing down a sombra at spawn and using all your cooldowns anyways while your team dies

Brig is always my comfort support pick when the enemy has a really annoying Sombra, but even then the really good ones can still work around you

@@caleb_dume i think it was just a lack of communication; i didn't see it but chat was saying ram got hooked off point, and kiri and i had the same idea at the same time to go heal genji who was just finishing off sombra. if there had been actual communication, only kiri would have gone to help or only i would have gone, so one of us stayed with ram.

I noticed that people in bronze-gold will try to give advice since they think theyre better at the game than they are, then if you dont listen they get tilted and just spend half the round typing, then they will blame the loss on you for not switching. Its a funny pattern. This guy blamed his team but spent half of first points typing.

Im starting to wonder if some support players are just guessing when someone needs healed until they're critical instead of looking at the health bar
I mean, generally the fun part of Sombra is when the other team starts tilting lol. Just bully the most vulnerable in the backline, or like the enemy Rein cuz he’s just so hackable lol. They start typing (insults usually) and I laugh and claim victory.
For supports, you’d think they’d know how much harder it is for Sombra if both supports are stuck on their team. You split off at all then it’s easy.

i play quick play w friends and today a sombra literally found me every time and picked me off before i could catch up to my team, the few times i got her though it was so satisfying. i do feel like it’s annoying though that she was intentionally going for me EVERY time and no one else, it’s qp, how am i supposed to learn😭

Looked like the moiras/lifeweavers fault. Not they're teams' fault. They also should've swapped to counter the sombra. Swapping to bap would've been a good swap
When I played Bap, it resulted in me spamming the shift button and wasting cool downs. I prefer Lucio as a swap (harder to hit imo, plus being able to swap to speed to get away, and also boop).
picking a direct counter only works if you're good at that hero. moira is and probably always will be my comfort pick bc i can turn my brain off to play her.
tbc, my brain was not off this game, it was raging lol so i made many many many more mistakes than i might normally, even after the second round.
but yeah, my point is, i had better luck on moira than on bap bc i can't play bap as well as i can on moira; if i played literally any other supp here, i wouldn't have played at all bc id be dying off cd even faster than i did on second round

there should be a clause in the overwatch TOS that permits DDoSing someone if they're playing sombra
I'm a Sombra main, but I'd like them to change her kit.
1. Limit Sombra's invis to around 6 seconds or so. Perma invis is too oppressive. Just give her enough time to position before or re-position after a dive.
2. Let Sombra use translocator twice, instead of once, but if she wants to go invis immediately after, she should have to burn that as a separate cooldown. Otherwise, she should still be visible after translocating.
3. Her hack should amplify her own/her team's abilities in some creative way, instead of shutting the other team's abilities down (make her a support?)
4. Virus should spread to enemies who are within a certain radius of the infected target, having a similar effect to Ashe's dynamite.
5. EMP should be scrapped and changed to a self-nano/overclock type of deal. Sombra's ult could give her a speed amp, damage amp, infinite translocation, and standard invis for around 8 seconds. It would be strong, but she would have to earn her kills, similar to Sojourn or Genji, and the enemy team can still use their cooldowns and ults to counter.
The issue is her current kit matches her personality / lore more. She doesn’t do stuff to help her team just like in the short, instead her focus is singular. Her abilities amplifying her team rather then deamplifying the other team doesn’t match with her personality lol

It’s different if theres just a sombra on the enemy team. The whole game. But what gets me is the last-minute sombra switch in OT or the “the enemy team has a good player, don’t let them play the game” sombra switch after they get rolled.

Sombra ruins the game for most of us. You can say all day , get good but we play with teammates that dont help at all so its frustrating that they have an invisible character in the game. She literally takes all the fun out the game and one of the reasons I dont play often. Game just isn't balanced .
If they listened to that line of reasoning though, sombra,widow Mei,Kiri, genji ,sym, mauga, lifeweaver, tracer, junkrat, pharah, echo, ball and mercy would all be removed from the game because they all ruin peoples games one way or another and you have to deal with all of them while having dumb teammates.
Oh boy I’ve been a Moira main since 2019 and…………the damage orb replenishes healing?!?!…………damn no wonder I’m stuck in cardboard 4.

Moira players should play Snooker or Pool to understand how balls bounce off walls etc. A well bounced ball can do all hell of a lot more healing/damage than one thrown directly in front of you

On Moira, understanding when to stay backline and keep your team up, and when to push up and pressure with damage, it's critical to control the flow of fights. You can only be passive to wait for your moment to make a move that will force cooldowns, take their attention away from your team, or kick off a play. Moira is an opportunist, and a great play forcer, but you need to use your footwork and fade to dictate matches.

No offense to the person, but I play a better Moira, and I’m stuck in silver. Yes I make stupid mistakes, yes I’ve costed team fights not playing optimally, but not everyone in silver has their monitor turned off and can’t count to 5 or look behind them. The intelligence range in this rank legitimately goes from competent to a fucking houseplant and you just get screwed a lot of the time

How do you lose a 1v1 to sombra as Moira?!!! Moira doesnt just counter Sombra, but she hard counters backspace, deletes Sombra. Or is it just me? I've never had a Sombra press me as Moira and translocate away to tell the tale of rolling me. Pro tip from a Moira main....99.99999% of the time, in 1v1 with sombra youre going to want to heal orb yourself not damage orb you opponent. I almost knocked my monitor off my desk when I saw that in one fight. And STOP SPAMMING FADE!!!! Walking is fine from time to time. 70% of all bad things that can happen to you with Moira can be instantly fixed with fade, UNLESS ITS ON COOLDOWN SIMPLY BECAUSE OF YOU DIDNT WANT TO WALK!!!!!
As a Moira the only times I have issue with sombra is if she is smart, and attacks right as I need to heal the team and can’t afford to look away. She can force a lose-lose if she times the attack right. If you turn to fight her, your team dies and you lose, if you don’t react, she just kills you and your team is down a support so they die and you lose. If you fade away as your team needs healing they die and you again still lose.

Sombra on the other hand hardly needs anything with her being permanently invisible, has a virus that takes half of your health and isn’t that hard to hit on somebody. Plus she can tp out of any danger quickly with her being able to become invisible as soon as she throws it. Widow is no where near a cancerous character

Also how do you get spawn killed more then once on moira? First one is understandable since you fade out. But after that? Just fade, throw a yellow ball at a wall and suck her.
If anything, that Sombra threw the game for their team with their constant spawn camping and ignoring the objective... lol. I do want to say that I don't understand why Emongg is constantly telling the person in the beginning to throw the petal. He's not even watching it live. If the player wasn't going to throw the petal all game long, no amount of telling them on a VOD review will change it. lol

WTH is this attempt at long range healing on a Moira. Yes use your healing resources to spray at nothing.
*Little tip if youre in a 1v1 as Moira, don't throw the healing orb at the floor. Throw it at the closest wall(s) so that it can heal you as it's going and coming back. Maximize your healing whether it's healing yourself or your team.
the floor thing is for tight spaces; i do it all the time in low ceiling rooms, especially in 1v1s, and i got so tilted i managed to forget i was out in the open, not in a room 😂😂

@@hails.bells99 i don't think there's a single map that's so open you can't yeet an orb in a direction that will bounce back your way; the skill in playing moira is knowing where to bounce your orbs that will have the greatest impact. for instance, in a place like eichenwald bridge, you can easily bounce orbs off the castle or the ramparts and have it come back to where you need it. which is what i SHOULD have done but was too tilted to think of doing lol
This is gold 2?! I see lifeweavers in high Silver and low Gold pull their teammate to save them or change a 1v1 to 2v1 or petal to get away from danger and this is GOLD 2?!?

I play Sombra a lot because I love being a POS to the enemy team, but that doesn't mean it's an automatic win. When the team sticks tight and covers each other, no amount of Sombra plays will matter.

As a moira main, I don't even worry about the sombras. I know for a fact that my dps or even my tank want that kill more than I do so I just stick with my team and let the sombra get themselves killed LOL

They blamed the tank when they could blame this guy for picking LW, actual sabotage. Hero is just bad, you can see him healing meaningless damage. Then he switches to moira and plays as if moira was LW.
This trash support player is a prime example why I quite this dumpster fire of a game. Support players blame everyone but make the most mistakes in the game, all while not taking a single bit of the blame.

when chat pointed out she faded in he said "yea but they were already down in that fight so why not at that point" their entire team was up.

and clearly theyre not afk fighting in chat. it wa sa huge part of the description he just seemed to forget.
The fade in Emongg was talking about was when she first killed the sombra and faded back into her team, Kiriko was dead. I think Emongg thought chat was talking about that fade and not the one near the staircase. He just misinterpreted which one was being talked about. He wasnt wrong in that regard.
And when hes talking about being afk, its the fact they were afk for 30 seconds and then that they went afk again. Hes flabbergasted that they went afk in the first place and had the gall to be tilted when it was their fault :/

The bad player here was that Moira LOL nothing new. And the one getting tilted was her alone Sombra even got her AFK at spawn LOL. Sombra did her job tilting people getting them to their heads I love Sombra for that.. but if you don’t understand the game this heroes will get into your head very easily.
i was actually already tilted when sombra started spawncamping me, i just got more frustrated bc i couldn't get to my team. after we won that round, i was actually able to calm down quite a bit bc the sombra threw to get me.
didn't calm down enough to stop making mistakes ofc, but i was no longer only pressing w and ready to break my monitor 😂
Tbh they were WAYY too focused on the sobra at the beginning when she rly wasn’t doing that much, and that’s literally what gives sombra value
