Emongg is honestly really good at giving the right advice based on the elo. Ofc there's so many things you could tell a bronze player to do better. So many things they'd definitely be overwhelmed if you said everything, and they probably wouldn't retain enough information to make a meaningful gameplay adjustment.
@@beanieheath6694 honestly we all start somewhere at least ur submitting ur stuff so u can learn instead of the whole “it’s my teams fault not me” when u refuse to learn so ur already doing better then most of bronze lol 😭 (also 100% recommend mercy parkour and to check out some of Niandras mercy guides they really helped me improve and I’ve managed to climb because of them)
This is a bronze player who is new to the game, so I can totally understand why they played the way they did. For sure this player can improve! Hope all these tips can help them out 😊 Mercy can be quite fun to play especially when you master guardian angel and balancing your beams
One of the hardest mercys i played against sat in corners. They were only in the air to zoom to another corner. They didn't try to buzz around to make you miss they were in spots you couldn't see them in the first place
Only play unranked so winning isn't the biggest priority... but nothing better than getting that suicidal support moment. Little nod to the saved player right before you explode. Glorious.
It took me a long while to stop trying to chase down an out of position teammate. As a support, i want to help but ive learned to value my life (in game) more now lol.
As a mercy/zen/brig main, averaging 20k heals per 10 min, I definitely remember being exactly where this person is. Skill level and all. I hope he keeps at it, sometimes support can be demoralizing but other times it’s like a dopamine burst of contribution. Keeping my teammates alive is fun !
Mercy definitely needs to be played selfishly. Prioritize your survival over teammates who like to touch the enemy spawn door. Mercy’s mobility allowing her to be unkillable is her biggest strength. Hope they’re able to climb soon! I’m a mercy main myself and she’s definitely one of the more fun heroes once you master her mobility
Things will come with time, I swear I was like that when I started playing, watch more Emongg VOD reviews and you'll genuinely progress with your mechanics :)
This was tough to watch. I understand this player is new so it will be tough starting out. I saw people in chat saying, “poor mercy” when they were at fault for 98% of their deaths on mercy at least. I am also on console and play mercy from time to time. I’m Gold 1 so by no means am I the best player but they need to use cover more. They also should recognize that the enemy team is running Ashe, Ana, and Bastion. Those heroes are able to focus mercy well I think. I’m just assuming they’re not used to the maps since they’re new but cover is essential so that you’re not in enemy los. As mercy you have to learn that to have restraint when it comes to Rez. Not everyone can be or should be rezzed. It is not worth risking your own life. It is better to be alive than to possibly stagger your teammate and yourself. Clearly they’re new and not used to playing mercy because their LW gameplay wasn’t so bad. Wish this player all the luck in climbing out of bronze and learning new heroes!
my biggest advice for this person to improve their mercy gameplay is to use slingshot more than superjump (crouch jump). They didn’t use slingshot at all, and I think it would’ve saved them from the dva bomb. They might not even know slingshot ga is a thing since I’m not sure if it tells you in her abilities. But it is very useful for getting yourself places fast in a much safer way than shooting straight up into the air. Also, just using the tech less. It’s okay to JUST use ga directly to somebody. You don’t need to use tech every time and in fact, since tech increases your cooldown there are many times when not using tech will be useful for guaranteeing a quick escape
Wall riding on console is hard because to jump and to aim use the same hand. Unless you map your buttons differently, you are either wall riding or aiming.
I started off on console (am a PC player now) and always used claw on my controller. I'd suggest learning that as it's applicable to so many multi-player games, especially FPS games. In this case, claw would let you aim and jump pretty easily as Lucio.
i would lose my mind if i had a support that played like this on my team their lifeweaver was pretty decent though. i’d start playing him more if i was this player
I invented a tactic called look over Here!! Nano Valk or Shout Valk in, and fly around the team and basically be a nuisance. In those 15 seconds have a soldier flank and use Visor, as mercy you can destroy any Lamps, and in killing as well. It’s truly and amazing Tactic when you want a lil battle mercy but your not able to diff an entire team
This is the kind of Mercy players I get on my team. Heal botting, standing out in the open, never pulling out their pistol. It essentially turns into a 4 v 5.
anytime i am not playing mercy i get this kind of people on my team. and then i am like "why didnt i just pick mercy i am so much better at playing her"
Honestly on console i would even recommend that they increase sensitivity on mercy. Once they get the basics down, she’s a fast paced/movement character.
If I was one of their DPS I would be so mad. Healing beam on the full-health tank while DPS is slowly whittled away. But that happens in plat too, not just bronze.
I think its cool to see how much better bronze is now. 3 years ago bronze players wouldn't have the skill to hit a flying mercy, or the awareness to look at her.
Hi when he says new he means i started at the end of january and this is my first ever fps game and in all honesty i have won 236 games as support in comp
not in relation to this video particularly but im master on supp and trying to rank up my dps and tank. oh and tanks walking infront of baps ult, supports flaming dps for not doing anything while they dont ever look back for their teammate/heal them when needed (like they only have tunnel vision, if you are lucky, you are in that tunnel and get healed, if not, you are fucked or have to rely on health pack/dps passivs)
