Remember the Honor 20 you reviewed? It got changed into the Huawei Nova 5T in some Asian countries. And I bought one during my trip to the Philippines because I was an idiot and dropped my phone when I was walking up a flight of stairs. Bought it because the spec to price ratio was mind boggling. Bought it for 290 USD and it was amazing and I still use it to game on max graphics. But I found it funny is in those scams where you get pop-ups like "your X phone has a virus" it would always say Honor 20 instead of Nova 5t and that it was Marketed as the Hip and Cool and millennial line up of Huawei.

Simple their weren’t working with the Chinese government.
@@christhedoc8689 But Trump tried to ban several other Chinese companies. And it's interesting how proof was never provided to support his claims, isn't it? Yet Facebook, that has been proven over and over again to be spying and gaining access to various information without a permission is still allowed to operate as if nothing ever happened.
I currently have the Huawei p30 which has done me good for the last couple years but starting to run into some problems. I have loved all the Huawei phones I've had but I've been aware of the problems they've had regarding the company. @@asherheed I switched to apple bc I wanted a proper experience with it so got the 14 pro but honestly, after having been on android for so long I miss it. Android is definitely better and I do regret trying apple but it’s a lesson learnt for me. The phone will definitely last me a good few years (certainly given the price) but with storage being terrible it’s just simply not as good. My advice is go for a different android. Perhaps Samsung or OnePlus
@@re4796 no. They can’t use Google services like play store etc and it’s bad. And with all the issues of them potentially being banned and then not and so on and so forth, it’s not worth it
Whomever, Huawei or Honor, I would just love to see either one make a comeback. They had some of the best devices for the best prices. Their technology was amazing. I had a ton of their phones, not just the Google Nexus 6P.
Huawei was my new favourite after its debut realy loves their phones .. sad to see them go down burning.... Still like them a lot altho disadvantages are too much now.. but their built and finish are among the best in the game.... I will one day get back to them but now itll be too much problem
If it wasn't glaringly obvious, it should be now: the ban was never about "espionage", it was politically and economically motivated. Let's be honest, Huawei, and by extent China, had been outpacing every other company and country when it came to technological innovations. If the ban has done anything, it has done the rest of us (the world) a great disservice, and we're the ones who can't reap the benefits. But I will support Huawei, so let's see.
Exactly. I totally agree. Huawei really was pushing the smartphone game ahead and they have THE best cameras in the business. My Huawei always feels like a modern product whenever I take photos, charge it, use it with no lag etc etc. It's really really sad.
Mmm. It's a political question so it's hard to say without the full picture which the average citizen will never have. That said, I can see it both ways. Huawei was crushing it globally. And the Chinese government also has significantly more control over companies than any western countries. They were very innovative. And the Chinese government also has stolen a lot of western ip and used it for social engineering purposes. They were fairly price competitive considering the features. And the Chinese government also debases their currency to gain competitive advantages that other countries cannot do because they're not autocratic.
the ban was about espionage, the Chinese government is an authoritarian regime that has full control over every private company in China, the more people that use Huawei phones the more data the Chinese government has on western individuals, which no one wants, also the vast majority of ppl give don’t care if a huawei phone is faster, charges 5 mins quicker, they just want a phone with a good camera and it’s relatively quick.
If Huawei wants to succeed, I have a small theory, and that is, if honor is not banned from using U.S technologies, then what if honor can actually buy Huawei and then Huawei can buy honor again and then they would be allowed to use, U.S technologies, I Don't know if that's a good Idea or not but, it's just my thought. By the way, you make really great videos Arun, I've been subscribed to you since 2019, and since then, you have improved you and your channel soooo much, keep going, and you will reach, that ultimate goal of a 100 million!
Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the best overall phone experience I had since HTC HD2 (running Android) If they had gotten a foothold here in the US and same type of carrier deals as Apple and Samsung... That is the ultimate reason why they were banned. They had good custom chips and they were spending to have them made by TSMC. If they had been let loose, Huawei was more hungry than all the other brands, they would have passed Samsung to catch Apple. If Huawei wasn't banned, they would now be preparing their Mate 70 Pro that would run next gen Kirin chips going against iphone 14. If there is a brand that could match or beat Apple in every category, it's Huawei.
So basically what you are saying is that despite appearing as different companies, Huawei basically is never gone give them up, let them down or desert them and never gonna say goodbye? I guess is logical since despite the ban and being forced to separate, they known each other for so long and they know the game and they are gonna play it.
China plays the long game, my guess is that honor is just keeping the bench warm until Huawei perfects it's own os and other technologies in order to come back roaring back.
Is something dodgy going on with Huawei / Honor? Or do you think it's just a matter of time before Honor becomes more unique and seperated? 🧐

@e93 well, after corona I would watch out since the bounce back of the Chinese was fast, like 2 or 3 months, cause of decisive action.
I'd support Huawei.
If they weren't so friggin expensive in my country. In Europe, Huawei phones are like half the price, almost...
Wumao detected
the ban was about espionage, the Chinese government is an authoritarian regime that has full control over every private company in China, the more people that use Huawei phones the more data the Chinese government has on western individuals, which no one wants, also the vast majority of ppl give don’t care if a huawei phone is faster, charges 5 mins quicker, they just want a phone with a good camera and it’s relatively quick.
Finally!! I guessed the "sub to the channel" word before you saying... Now I feel Honorable 😌
Exactly!!!😭
"Honor"able lol
I was doing my exams but this seemed more important 😃
-_-
The camera on Honor proves that megapixel count doesn’t matter, it is the processing on the phone.
So basically what you are saying is that despite appearing as different companies, Huawei basically is
never gone give them up, let them down or desert them and never gonna say goodbye?
I guess is logical since despite the ban and being forced to separate, they known each other for so long and they know the game and they are gonna play it.
