We got there early and got straight into SNW and went straight to Mariokart after getting our wrist bands and only had to wait 45 minutes, by the time we came back out the line was over 2 hours
VERY informative. Good narration and quality vid! Thanks for this, we're going there in February. I'm currently booking ours now but oh my god the express passes are crazy! I thought they already have the basic admission pass but no. Great help!
Really most of this advise is for locals. If you have the resources, buy the express pass. It all boils down to how valuable your time is, and if you want to enjoy your visit in an organized way, ensuring that you will get the rides you want. If you are going to travel 10000 miles to go to USJ, why not spend the extra cash? The best thing, everything else is available, and you can still do the reservations for more rides if you want to repeat. And you get to walk around the park and enjoy, rather than worrying about running here and there when/IF you get a "free" ticket. AND if you are happy with your express pass selection of rides, you can (f you want) sleep late and just get there 20 mins after opening and avoid the long lines. I personally recommend that with a Express Pass you also get early so you can get to the uncrowded rides while everybody is making a run for Mario's world
This is the best way to do it. Sure if you are local or if you can get there multiple times you can wait or put things into luck. But if you are traveling thousands of miles, I say you need that express ticket.
This is such a good strategy for SNW! How about for the rest of the park, if you plan to explore the rest of the park would getting express be the better way to go? Because I would also like to explore Harry Potter.
Great video!! I did all that for my previous trip but hard to explain to others on how to do it.. So i just share this perfect explanation video to others which you covered everything i needed to explain!
thanks for the advices, I'm planning my USJ this summer (I know summer is not an ideal time for visiting, but is the only time that is possible for me)
What would you say is the difference in line time between the regular ticket vs express pass? Not having to wait 1 hour or more per ride is making me consider it.
Hey thanks for your video ! Do you think it’s possible during summer ? I’m so stressed !!! I will be in Osaka in June and I absolutely want to visit the SNW
This is so helpful!!! Thank you!! How would be go about reserving area tickets on the app for a group? Should each person use their individual phones or should one person do it for everyone (if that's even possible)?
great video and flying to Osaka in 10 days and this video helped. I have another question tho if you font mind, im planning on going the 13th of Sep would u recommend buying the USJ tickets from now ? Thank you again
sorry i could not answer in time! i am sure you figured it out, but for ease of mind i would buy tickets in advanced for sure! The ticket prices rise as the days get closer. Hope you enjoyed your trip though!
Idk I feel like I would stress out if I do not get the express passes yet those are super expensive and mostly I would get it to get it for SNW since Harry Potter and other area don't need it. However since they'll open Donkey Kong are pretty sure I'm sure they'll require an area timed entry and for a peace of your mind its better with the express passes.
I agree for peace of mind and to be sure, definitely. But the prices they charge are pretty insane currently. Right now the only reason to get express passes should be for SNW, But DK will definitely change park strategies for sure. 👍
I couldnt buy early entry ticket during weekday. Is it only available on weekends? I plan to visit 28 may, I mainly want to see all attractions in Nintendo world (hopefully DK too!) and I want to go to the cafe. I heard the cafe is quite a long wait though if you go late. Is this possible for me in 1 day?
Planning to go mid-April, but I’m trying to decide between Sunday or Monday. The thing is Sunday is probably more crowded, but the park is open for 13 hours and only 10 hours on Monday. What’s your take on this, please?
I still feel strongly about the weekdays being better. The lines on the weekends are just really bad. Those extra 3 hours will most likely be spent waiting IMO. But I could be wrong of course :)
WOW thank you so much you saved my 100$ , now I can spend it on wagyu 😋 and I need to buy first the ticket for Universal Studios and then scan the qr to the app right ?
yes and yes. It should be able to scan prior to getting in the park. But I have seen cases where it will say invalid until you scan into the main gate. Keep trying up until you enter in the park.
One of the most useful videos Ive found on the subject! Question though: I just bought my ticket from the official page for 13th Feb. But when I scan the ticket in the app it says it is not valid. The app is up to date. Does it take a while to register? And is it ok to register early?
Thank you! I believe it should work closer to the date. I remember having scan issues as well. Definitely ok to register early. The night before is when I did it. Hopefully it works for you!
@@mikie0307 thanks yeah it worked 24 hours after purchase thanks. It still isn’t very clear now that I’ve registered, what happens next. I guess I just need to be in the park and the reserve time pops up?

did you get a timed entry to harry potter world while you were at the park if you do not have an express pass since you go first to super nintendo world? booked green
No need for a timed entry into Harry Potter. The lines were a bit long but just walked in after doing Nintendo world. Harry Potter should be less stressful :)
I'm going to visit the park solo, on a Thursday (green day) do you think I'm better off getting the express pass or just winging it as a single rider? I had no idea it would be this complicated 😅😅
we are planning to go next week on the 26-27 March . Just realised that Japan school holidays start on the 25th- we have already booked our air tickets so can’t change the dates. Trying to buy express pass for our family of 6 and all tickets total almost $2000. How will it be if we get there 1-2 hours early given it’s school holidays ,to get into Super Nintendo world
The earlier the better. No guarantee but I think you should be ok at least 2 hours before. First trains are at 5AM so you can't really go much earlier than that.
@@mikie0307 ty! i ended up just getting it for Harry Potter instead everything Nintendo world for my date is essentially gone or I won't be there in time to make the express time 😭. Its okay we're getting one for Orlando next year but it would have been cool to go while i was there 😭
Fast pass is not 100% worthit. It does help a little bit with waiting times but nothing outstanding. Big rides such as koopas challenge and forbidden journey it doesn't help. You end up in the same room at the end and it basically becomes a free for all. I bought the express pass 4 and managed 10 rides for the day and the ones without express passes weren't that much of a 15-20min difference. I went on forbidden journey 2 times and surprisingly the second time in the regular entry ended up being faster. PS. I also went on a national holiday.

But does it mean while playing in Nintendo and Mario, I'm gonna have to reserve the time for my next attraction which is Harry Potter zone? I can't just run towards Harry Potter anymore; I have to make a reservation for every attraction I want to go to from now on after Nintendo?
No need for HP. It's just not as populated to the point that they need to close it off. You'll always be able to go in after Nintendo. Every location should be available. The lines on the other hand are inevitable. But doable
You can do the same for Harry Potter but in all honesty, you can just line up and be ok for Potter. Ever since Nintendo world, potter lost the overcrowdedness. That's not too say it's not crowded, but it's no longer needing area passes. Hope this helps!
Hi Mikie, wondering if you could help with one part thats stressing me out about doing this. You say there is an early access line on entering - is this line clearly marked ( in English )? I would hate to be standing in that line thinking its the regular line. Thank you!
I believe the early access is the far left and right of the park. No worries though, if you go through the gates at the universal world, you should be good to go. 👍
I’m traveling with a toddler so we’re not interested in the rides. Do you need an entry access pass to actually enter the super Mario area or is that more so for the rides?
Hi, I have a question for step 3. I've already downloaded the app prior. Can I already scan the ticket the day before going to the theme park and this does not consume the ticket?

A few problems with your advice;
1) People start lining up for the park around 4:30 so if you wait until 6:30, there will be A LOT of people in front of you trying to do the same exact thing, hence why there was a 90 minute wait time for Koopa Challenge as soon as you got there..
2) Time Entry Tickets aren't that easy to come by, especially on the app which never seems to be working.. so buying an Express Pass which gets you on the best rides sooner AND gives you not one but two Time Entry Tickets for exclusive parks is absolutely worth the cost..
3) Express Pass lines are WAY shorter so your speculation was far off... rides that had a 90-125 minute waits we were able to get on within 10-20 minutes with it throughout the entire day.
